Great Location

We had never been to San Diego, but we are so glad that we chose this place to stay! 10 to 15 minutes from everything that we wanted to see or do. Great location for access to the ocean or the bay. Beautiful area to walk with the beach walk and the bay walk.

Steps from the beach!

A safe stay in a quaint area in the south Mission beach! A short walk from great coffee (Lazy Eye) and yummy Mexican food (Sara’s Mexican)! We loved running and walking the boardwalk next to the beach and watching the surfers and volleyball. Great stay!!

Great location!

Property was comfortable for my sister and I. Kitchen was well equipped. We walked 3-5 miles every morning and stopped at a local cafe for breakfast on our way back. There was construction that was noisy, but that is temporary. Overall great stay and would definitely stay again.

Good Choice

The location is great. The unit is really nice for 2 people. It’s kind of an efficiency. Nicely equipped and nicely furnished. Our only issue was that there was little hot water and it took forever to get hot water to come out. We wasted a lot of water waiting for it to get hot.

Quaint, quiet and close to the beach

Hosts were excellent communicators and helpful. Space was clean, tidy and located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Initial listings made it sound as though the property was difficult to find; Google maps took us right to the property without issue. Shower quick though, water heater not the most robust.

Perfect getaway

The property was clean, beautifully decorated and had all the basic amenities for our week long stay. There is a Bird scooter lot right outside the building so very easy to jump on a bird and ride to restaurants in Mission beach instead of having to take a car and find parking. Would definitely stay again!

Great location, very clean!

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was in a perfect location for us. It was clean and hosts were great! Only suggestion is to fix the shower pull on the faucet in the tub. It would not pull all the way up therefore a lot of water continued flowing out of the faucet when the shower was running.

Great Location

First time in the Mission Beach area, and I am so happy I found this gem. It was walking minutes to the beach. They even have beach chairs and an umbrella for you to bring. This place had everything we needed for our stay. And the bed was so comfortable! I would rent this place again the next time I come to visit.

Fun location and great layout

The location was good, Mission Beach is fun. It’s a short three minute walk to the beach and the studio is set up really nice so it felt roomy with two of us. The only downside was the lack of constant hot water. It’s one water heater for 8 units and although sometimes there is hot water I tried to take a shower one day around 5pm and it was only hot for 3 minutes. Other than that it was great!

Close to the beach and good parking

We stayed 5 nights to see the attractions around San Diego. This was a great location on Mission Beach with good parking. The condo is located very close to the beach and walkway which is great if you want to walk, run or cycle all the way to Pacific beach.Positive Parking Location Kitchen Good communication Clean condo WiFiNegative -- Water pressure - Plastic mattress cover that felt terrible to sleep on.Overall we were happy with our 5 day stay. However we would not stay there again just because of the plastic cover on the mattress.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Great location a block off the beach & close to grociery store . The studio was perfect for us, a retired couple. Bed comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Laundry room was convenient . The only small issues were slow running drains in kitchen & bathroom sinks. Also, we never did figure out WIFI access even after following binder directions and contacting the hosts x 2. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others..

Mission Beach Studio

I came down for a weekend of scuba diving and needed a spot close to the boat harbor. This unit was the perfect location, close to the harbor and had everything I needed and look for in a place to stay; clean, quiet, comfortable and safe. So nice to have a full kitchen that had everything you’d need to prepare a meal.

Fabulous access to both beach and bay!

We loved being so close to everything. Even by car we were within 15 minutes of anything we wanted. Mornings we toured San Diego, afternoons we spent at the beach! 5 minute walk to either beach or bay. Fireworks 💥 n the evening! Excellent in all ways! Ready to go back today (if I could)!

Perfect Mother - Daughter retreat

The studio has a cozy beach feel with modern touches. The bed, bedding, and pillows were very comfortable. The day bed was definitely large and comfortable enough for an extra person, but we did not use it to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to fix our meals. We loved how close it was to the bay and the ocean and the parking spot was perfect. The air conditioning was a big plus, as it was warm when we were there. All in all our stay was absolutely perfect. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The other tenants were also very friendly and very quiet. The Sea World fireworks were an added bonus. We would love to stay again.

No hot showers

Very cute and clean. South Mission Beach area is fairly quiet and this is only one block from the beach. It was hard to get the owners to communicate. They did send us the address a few days before check-in. I replied right away and asked if it was obvious where we are supposed to park, because I’m familiar with the South Mission Beach area, those buildings are very tight and some of them have odd parking situations. The owner never replied to that question. We also sent a question about getting the TV to work while we were there. They never replied to that question either. The email confirmation and listing said check-in was to be at 3 PM (and they had confirmed that for us). But we did not get the code for access by 3pm. So I had to message via the Vrbo app, then call them, and text them, and we finally got the code almost an hour after we were supposed to check in. But the biggest issue is no hot showers. The hot water will be on for 60 to 90 seconds and then it goes out and then it comes back, sometimes it doesn’t come back. So it didn’t matter what time of day we tried to take a shower you were not getting a hot shower. I messaged the owner about the hot water problem yesterday - just in case they weren’t aware of the issue - and they didn’t reply.

Nice clean property. Check-in process a little bumpy but not too bad. Need to provide better and more specific instructions for TV and especially the Wi-Fi. Each unit seems to have a unique (or at least inconsistent) network name. Sometimes there are spaces, sometimes not. And Unit 7 did not have a dedicated Wi-Fi network.

A perfect getaway for a long holiday weekend

We stayed at Karena and Khin's Mission Beach condo over the long 4th of July weekend. The place was clean and comfortable and in the perfect location, at the south end of Mission Beach, one block east of the ocean and one block west of the bay. Reserved parking was provided and the we were far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Belmont Park but still close enough to walk there for dinners. We were able to enjoy the Sea World fireworks from our balcony.

Great location

This is a great location that is literally steps away from the water. My wife and I enjoyed the condo and thought it was pretty spacious. You do hear the occasional plane going by in the early morning but it’s nothing that interrupts you from having a great time. Definitely will stay here again whenever we come back to San Diego

Amazing city and place to stay

This is my 2nd time staying at this place. This time we stayed for 2 weeks. We had wonderful time. San Diego is an amazing city and this place location is great. Close to everything but you will need a car. Parking is a huge plus. Internet was on a slower end but it wasn't too critical. The place was clean and spacious. We are planning to come back again. Perfect Getaway

If you're looking for a small comfortable place for you and your partner, this is the perfect place. It's the cutest condo with just a short 1-2 minute walk to the beach. They had everything we needed and had no problems finding it when first arriving. I definitely recommend this spot for anyone who wants to stay close to the beach but also stay in a quiet/calm neighborhood.

Great Location!!

It was a great location and a nice getaway, we were a little confused about which unit we were in but owner was very responsive. We had a great time overall and it was beautifully kept. We wish there were more comfort items such as sugar and powdered creamer and steak knives. There were only two wineglasses in different sizes and no coffee cups for the Keurig. These things would just make things a little better and more convenient but like I said we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay 💗

Great decor! Midcentury modern meets beach theme for unit #7.
This newly constructed building ( 2011) is a small complex of 8 luxury studio condos. Nothing in the Mission Beach area compares.
Beautiful details include travertine or hardwood floors, travertine bathroom, granite countertops. Each one is custom designed and tastefully decorated differently. Rent one unit, or if you have extended family, rent a few. Each one is fully stocked kitchen and business travel ready. ( iron, iron board, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, lint brush)
You will love your vacation home!
