Enjoy the whole home featuring 4 bedrooms, one king as well as three queens, with three bathrooms. Relax on the outdoor patio featuring a beautiful outdoor pool, wood charcoal grill on the expansive stone patio and amazing Blue Ridge mountain views. Please note, the owner will stay on site in a separate private suite during your visit should any issues arise during your stay.
Roam the expansive Spring Hill Farm in Albemarle, a magical oasis of harmony, peace, tranquility- yet minutes from town and all necessary daily amenities An oasis of 32 acres that offers the best of everything-stunning mountain views, majestic mature specimen grandiflora magnolias, towering, elegant Norway spruces, variety of oaks and maples all season blooming color gardens, and flowing passage ways allowing easy access and navigation. This historic and elegant property is not to be missed!

Just off of US-29, about four miles north of CHO airport, you have the convenience of restaurants, wineries, and the best that Charlottesville and Albemarle County has to offer.

The pool will open May 11th for the 2023 season through early October, depending on the weather.

Beautiful location

We all had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed the beautiful grounds, the spectacular views and sunsets. We spent much of our time in the pool which is a real plus. The property manager/owner is very helpful and available when needed.

Bachelorette Getaway

We loved the pool and the views from the property. We were questioning a few of the features of the house, including the fact that none of the doors fully shut or locked. Certainly a quirky place. All in all, met our needs for the long weekend.

Beautiful refuge, easy access, very smooth stay

A beautiful property, true to the photos. It feels very private and remote but is conveniently really close to Charlottesville and many other amenities. The house is spacious and spread out in such a way that many people can comfortably relax separately or together. The outdoor spaces are really the best part. The host is extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was excellent and was responsive throughout our experience. Would highly recommend!

Adorable cottage in a beautiful location, with fantastic pool!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Kismet Cottage. Gabriel was a gracious and accommodating host. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and the pool is fantastic - we spent most of the time in there!

Rustic country stay not far from Charlottesville

This was a wonderful stay for a girls' weekend full of wineries and relaxing. Gabriel is close by but gives you space, and the accommodations are cozy, airy, and rustic. The pool is a very nice touch and the grounds are breathtaking. Great place for a relaxing, beautiful weekend.

Expansive property convenient to the airport and the City.

Gabriel was a hoot - friendly, helpful, bent over backwards to make our stay a "10+" experience. We took advantage of the many venues throughout this extensive, immaculately-groomed and -maintained former horse farm. Sunset views from the hill-top barn, grilled out on the massive outside stone fireplace and enjoyed a warming fire that evening under the stars. A magical place with an attentive innkeeper who gets customer service!

Great fall weekend

This farm was absolutely fabulous and the cottage was comfortable and homey. The owner was immediately available for questions and made sure we had everything we needed. She even helped Fedexing 2 forgotten packages to our home. We will return again.

Great Views and location for wine country (if you have a driver)

We loved the charm of the house and it had ample seating and space for gathering. Having a DD was great since we were planning on wine tasting during the day and we loved that there were plenty of returns close by for the evening.

Wonderful Cottage experience

Girl Wine Tour Getaway

This property is on a 30+ acre farm and the views are breathtaking! The pool was wonderful to cool off in and we were glad to have it. Gabriel was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay

Great stay! Gabriel was friendly an helpful but stayed out of our way. Only weird thing was no doors on 2/3 of the bathrooms so hopefully you are a close group if you stay here.

What a beautiful farm!

We loved Spring Hill Farm! The house was well appointed and the views were beautiful! The pool kept us cool and Gabriel was incredibly helpful and responsive! We are very grateful for a lovely stay!

Great Quick Escape

Our three night stay here was a nice getaway with family. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The pool was refreshing after hiking during the day. The location is close enough to be able to enjoy Charlottesville.

Perfect Pool Getaway

We originally booked this place as a fun home base for a Charlottesville beer weekend, but had so much fun at the pool we spent most of the weekend outside in the pool. We also grilled every night, and we’re even able to try grilling pizza. Would definitely stay here again, we had a great time!

Overly accommodating stay

The property is absolutely beautiful with mountain views, a fire pit, and large pool. The house is perfect for folks who love an antiques, homey feel when away. The host was overly accommodating: giving us a tour upon arrival, frequently checking on our group, turning on lights when we were out, and even popping by in the night when the power shortly went out. Overall a welcoming stay.

A great location for exploring the area

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. It's a unique, quirky decorated (in a good way) property and we loved the peace and quiet while being able to get to Charlottesville easily. The pool motor wasn't working most of our stay, but the pool water was still safe but took a little more cleaning out with a net each morning. But we all loved swimming.

Everything it promised and more!

We were two families - total of 7 with three 20-year old "boys" in our group. This place was PERFECT. PLenty of beds/rooms for all to have their own space. Being 30 minutes from Skyline drive was perfect for us hikers - and we had the pool to come back to every day. We used the outdoor BBQ, the indoor kitchen (fully stocked) and just loved having these 35 acres to ourselves (complete with chicken coop, barn, and beautiful gardens). The owner, Gabriel, is available as needed and lives on the property but is completely unobtrusive. We really enjoyed our 10 days here in the middle of summer (GREAT A/C!).

Amazing location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The house had everything we needed- plenty of clean towels, comfy beds, and lots of space for our group of 6. We were blown away at the beautiful, scenic vista we were greeted with each day while lounging at the ultra private pool. Our host, Gabriel was kind and helpful and gave us great tips during our stay! We can’t wait to get back!

Friends 4th of July

Pulling up to the property we were in awe of how large and beautiful the property was. The map very easily picked up the location, as it is on a road that meets up with the main road (very convenient). Property owner was communicative over text for arrival time and was on the property to show us around and answer any questions on our arrival. The house is really awesome, really big and perfect for 4 couples or 8 people. The rooms are spacious. Kitchen has everything you need (Except for your own groceries) but there is so much stuff to use. We also used the firepit./grill everyday and it was so great. But we spent most of our time in the amazing pool. the pool is so much fun with great views. the property is manicured and gorgeous. we had a perfect vacation - nothing i could possibly complain about.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This lovely VRBO is conveniently located about 1/2 mile off I-29 (about 10 minutes from Charlottesville Airport, 20 minutes from Monticello and 30 min from our wedding destination - the location was a big reason why we rented it. However, the house itself is absolutely lovely. It is an older home and reflects the personality of our delightful hostess, Gabriel. It is all on one story (but, with single steps into some rooms). There are 4 very comfortable bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room were perfect and we felt very comfortable cooking. There is a built in outdoor pool. It is a working farm which is worked primarily by our hostess. We would definitely rent this VRBO again.

Lovely Cottage!

Our Hostess, Gabriel, is delightful and a very welcoming host. We were very comfortable and Gabriel brought us anything that we needed and could not find in the house. For example, one of us needed an iron and she brought it right over. It was delightful to be in a very calming space, geese in the front field, an outside fire pit and tons of books to browse.

Magical place for our elopement
