Escape to nature and relax just minutes from Houston in this 4 bedroom home on a private lake. There are 450 feet of lakefront property and 1 acre fenced very private yard for the kids to run and play. Try your hand at fishing off the pier, take the canoe out for a relaxing tour around the lake, or use the kayak to catch largemouth bass. All boats are available for your use while staying in the home. Build a fire to roast marshmallows in the evening, and listen to the sounds of nature while stargazing. The next morning, enjoy your coffee or tea on the deck while watching the sunrise over the lake. We even offer our guests to collect fresh eggs from our hens caged at the property--what a treat! Dogs permitted with prior approval and nominal fee. Long term guests (over 30 days) have lawn service, bi-weekly housekeeping, and access to the studio apartment on the property.

The house is fully stocked with all you need for a small family gathering or a quiet couple's getaway. Cook your meals in the large kitchen while visiting with family and friends in the spacious living/dining area. There is space for everyone. Kids can shoot baskets, ride scooters, or chase butterflies outdoors. When not outside, everyone can enjoy watching movies, playing games on the X-Box, or playing board games. The home sleeps 9-11 guests in beds and is equipped with 3 air mattresses and 1 playpen for your use.
Goodrich is a small town just East of Lake Livingston State Park. The Lake Livingston dam is less than 10 minutes away, as is Lake Livingston State Park where you can boat, hike the many wooded trails, go bird watching, mountain bike, geocache, and study nature. The city of Livingston is a short 10-minute drive and provides restaurants and stores for any of your needs. The Alabama-Coushatta Indian reservation is only 20 minutes away if you want to learn about the tribe or spend the evening at the casino on site. For longer day trips, The Woodlands Mall and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion entertainment complex are approximately 1 hour away. You may find a concert you have been wanting to see there or just do a full day of shopping and dining. The city of Houston is also 1 hour from the house and provides a wide variety of cultural, educational, entertainment, shopping, and dining choices.

Security cameras are located at the entrance gate to the property and at the chicken coop. Please note that the lake is a private lake and does not permit gas-powered motors or wake. Only battery-powered trolling motors are allowed.
