Welcome to our charming and cozy coach house/mews, originally built in 1880 and thoughtfully converted in 2009. This unique, character-filled space offers a peaceful retreat with an open-plan layout across two floors—ideal for relaxation or as a creative workspace.

The house comfortably sleeps up to 5 guests, with additional beds available upon request. It’s perfect for families, couples, or small groups seeking a one-of-a-kind stay that blends modern convenience with historic charm.

The bedroom is located downstairs (which stays wonderfully cool during hot weather!), while the bathroom and kitchen are upstairs. There is a staircase with 15 steps to reach the upper floor.

The layout is versatile: we’re happy to add a desk or extra beds depending on your needs. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.


Location

Located near Finsbury Park (N4) in North London, just a short walk from Harringay Station, which connects easily to:
• Oxford Circus (15 mins via Victoria Line)
• Old Street (15 mins)
• Dalston (20 mins)

The neighborhood is known for its amazing Turkish restaurants, local cafés, and proximity to Parkland Walk and Crouch End—perfect for a scenic stroll or a coffee in a creative corner of the city.

This place is in a great area and the host was very communicative, but we felt as though the photos on the listing were an inaccurate representation of the space. In the photos it looks as though there were 2 beds, but we were informed by the owner a few days prior to our stay that one of the beds was an air mattress. Unfortunately this was not a stay that was fitting for 4 adults, especially over the course of 10 days. We also felt that the place was not very clean, the towels smelt musty, sheets were stained, cookware and utensils were dirty. The host also asked us if someone could drop off a clothing rail, which we did not mind but felt a bit inappropriate for a rental. Overall we felt as though it might be a better fit for 1-2 guests, but not many more.

Feels like home

This place is super cosy and cute! Felt super comfortable! So much lil decoration to see! I love the details. If you wanna feel like home this is the spot to be! Definitely gonna book this flat again! The owner is nice n friendly, the check in was super easy!

Lovely studio

Very cozy, great location very close to the station and only a very short walk to finsbury. Studio is full of charm and feels like a rustic country retreat in the middle of the city. Kitchen facilities are excellent, host was very polite, attentive and friendly, would definitely recommend

True Bohemian

Property is a true diamond in the rough. Excellent location. Once you learn the bus / underground and train system, all 3 are close by.It is a true artist studio, bare minimum. The host was more than accommodating once issues were raised.We wish them the very best.

This stay didn't work out as either we or the host, Yev, planned. But Yev dealt very professionally with the situation and was kind enough to refund most of our expenses.

Great location

This was a great location - very close to frequent rail connecting to tube - fairly close to two tube stations. The neighbourhood was very pretty and the closest 'high street' had a wonderful Turkish vibe - great baklava! There were also other great high streets within walking distance, each unique. Caught a concert at Union Chapel, went to London stadium for a West Ham match and to the core several times - all easy commute by transit. The apt was easy access and good communication with the owner.

We enjoyed our stay in Yev’s place. I think it’s a very nice restoration of a former Stable/Garage structure as the photo shows, located in a residential neighborhood with Turkish markets, restaurants and Tube a couple blocks away. I think Yev is an artist, and it is decorated in an appealing way. Regarding Britt’s comments below, I disagree. Yes, the lower part, where vehicles or horses were kept has obviously been re-purposed into your bedroom. Yes it has a concrete floor, which has been nicely painted, and is comfortable, the light from the only windows in the doors is sufficient, plus plenty of light fixtures to use. The back (where the bed is) has no windows, great for sleeping. The garage door which you can see in the photo, is by no means “thin” it is very solid. We're in our 70’s and had no problem managing the stairs (which now have a railing--they didn’t in Britt’s photo). I’m sure children would be fine with it if they can climb stairs ok, and as far as “women” having issues, my girlfriend loved it.Upstairs, kitchen is fine and functional (a microwave oven would be nice to have). And the upstairs space is very open and beautiful. Really, only issue I had was the fact that Yev’s description doesn’t mention that the bathroom is upstairs, and the bed is downstairs, which is a factor for an older gentleman like myself who has to go several times at night. Otherwise it was a wonderful place-we felt lucky to have such a large, historic, elegant space for the price!

Just to clarify a couple of things about the property: -The downstairs floor is actually made of wooden boards tinted in a grey shade-it often looks like concrete in photos, but it's definitely wood! -You're right that it stays wonderfully cool downstairs during the hotter days, which is a lovely bonus of the building's age. -And regarding the word 'garage'—it is technically a historic coach house, but I can see how it resembles one in structure! And thank you for pointing out the bathroom location. We have now added a clear note to our listing description to ensure future guests are fully aware of the layout before booking. Regarding the microwave-we truly appreciate the suggestion. We actually prefer not to use one in the space, as our oven comes with both grill and conventional functions that work perfectly well for all cooking needs. However, we're glad the kitchen otherwise met your expectations! We are truly glad you and your girlfriend enjoyed the space and the neighborhood. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would love to welcome you back anytime!

Amazing and Unique Stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the old stables, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The owner is not only friendly and professional but also incredibly accommodating, making the entire communication and booking process a breeze. The space itself is a gem – super cosy and exuding an organic warmth that immediately puts you at ease. I loved the upstairs open area with its exposed pitch roof beams and original wooden flooring. It's evident that every detail has been carefully considered, showcasing a true connoisseur's touch. The location is fantastic, actually. The quick and easy commute to central London is a major plus. Additionally, there are plenty of charming eateries around to explore and a couple of charming pubs. I'm already looking forward to booking this property again in the future – a definite recommendation for anyone seeking a charming and comfortable retreat in London!

Es tut mir leid für den in der vorher stattgefunden Korrespondenz sehr netten Vermieter, aber das Objekt war in den Fotos eindeutig romantisiert und sehr viel wohnlicher dargestellt als es in Wirklichkeit ist. In der Realität handelt es sich um eine Art Garage. Die untere Etage ist absolut inakzeptabel. Eine Garage. Leer, Betonboden, mehr oder weniger ohne Tageslicht und von der Straße nur durch ein dünnes fraglich gesichertes Garagentor getrennt. Da soll man schlafen. Oben gibt es eine Campingmatratze zum aufblasen und wirklich übelst beschmutze Bettlaken. Allgemein eher unsauber. Es herrschte keine gute Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich weder sicher dort noch wohl. Vielleicht noch akzeptabel für feierfreudige, junge Leute ohne Ansprüche in einer größeren Gruppe. Für alle anderen nicht! Nicht geeignet für Kinder, ältere Reisende, Frauen zu zweit etc. Wir haben direkt eine andere Unterkunft gebucht und sind abgereist. Letzten Endes handelt es sich hier um Betrug. Und ich möchte mein Geld zurück.
