You will find yourself relaxing on the deck overlooking the creek, fishing off your private pier or nestled in a nook with your favorite book. Plenty of space to spread out and relax with a large open concept. This home also offers a full RV hookup with plenty of space to park. WIFI Available!

Perfect Fishing/Crabbing Getaway

Cute bay house with one room open concept (sleep where you live and eat)—not 1 bedroom as listed—more list big studio. Clean and spacious. Sturdy with no sway from windy conditions. Fishing and crabbing pier is awesome with barrel and cleaning station, running water and sinks, and lights for night fishing. Crabbing pots available which was a bonus. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming.

Our rental had a fire ant infestation that wasn’t addressed BEFORE we arrived! To make a long story short, our stay there was a terrible experience and totally ruined our Labor Day weekend! The stove had ants on it; I took a picture of the line of ants going across one of the beds! Our suitcases, which were open, had ants inside and had to take out everything to clean out this pathetic issue

Wonderful getaway!!

When I arrived I noticed the brightly colored door and the patio area. The home has everything you need for a fully functioning kitchen. Everything from pots, pans to coffee mugs and utensils. The whole area was open and inviting. Behind the door there was a brown box full of necessities like sunscreen, lotions and mosquito repellant sprays. This came in handy when we went outside in the water. The dryer was a plus since we had to dry our bathing suits. I loved how they had tid bits of history of the property. There were picture frames around the home of the grandpa and family who established the property. It’s nice to see that the home has good memories dating back to the 50s. We had a small group and all of us loved it there. The whole home had a coastal and nautical theme. This fit perfectly and overall was aesthetically pleasing. We loved our stay and look forward for coming back another time.

Fishing getaway

Property was nice. Clean. Only double beds & Trundle. Fishing dock was nice and a great location, but fishing wasn’t good. Only baby croakers and catfish. Nothing worth keeping.

Great time at salt and lime

We spent 4 nights at the property. Very well maintained and perfect for what we were looking for. Great fishing from the pier and only a few minutes from the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place

House is exactly as the pictures. This was the cleanest rental, I have ever rented. Such a peaceful, relaxing stay by the water. Fishing pier was great for family fun. Hope to visit again soon.

Great location

This was probably the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. The location on Caney Creek is near the "Y" so the night fishing under the lights is top notch. Also a good location to see the boat parade, even though the weather kept most of them at the dock this year. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice place

Was a really good property , nice pier for docking boat and or fishing good lighting. Overall very clean and seems to be taken care of property. If I had to get one negative out of this property it would have to be A/C by the front door made some noises like maybe something hitting fan that was noticeable but not a major problem. I would rent again without a doubt,good location , nice place what else could you want

Awesome stay!

Clean and pretty property. Great place to relax at. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy the river. Only a 6-8 minute drive to the beach! My family had a great time. We loved the open concept for a vacation home. Comfortable beds and the dining room table was beautiful! ***Only down fall was the mosquitos, they got us really good the 2nd night. Make sure to pack mosquito repellent!*** Can’t wait to plan another trip!!!

Cozy Beach House

The location was wonderful, house was beautiful, and the table was HUGE!! Loved that there were chairs outside, lights outside and even the water hose right by the steps to rinse off the sand and salt. Fishing poles there and crab traps. The porch has railing and a gate at the top to keep kids from falling down the steps unattended which was nice. Only things I would change were 1) there is no AC in the bathroom so if the seafood does you dirty you may pass out from a heat stroke in the bathroom 2) Put some portable fans or another window unit in the house since the entry room also stays pretty hot. 3) Get rid of one of the 3 full size beds and put a king there. The pictures make the beds look bigger than they are but its just 3 full's and a twin. 4) We didn't watch TV really but when cooking meals we would try and turn it on for the kids to keep them occupied but It would hardly work. Overall we would stay here again if we ever come back to Sargent.

Loved it!!

Everything was perfect.. House had everything that you would need. Loved that it was an open plan and had no walls. Had alot of extras in case you forgot something at home. Beds were comfy..lots of pillows and blankets. Water pressure was perfect. Left our boat on the dock with no issues. Table was perfect for our party of 6. There isn't a major chain grocery store nearby but there is a Texaco which sells some veggies(lemons, onions, avacados) bread, etc. Host was quick to reply. Everything was perfect.

Family Oriented

Property is just as described in listing. Love the open concept! Even though it poured the whole time we were there, we made the best of it. Our boys caught some nice crabs with the crab traps provided. Unfortunately we did not get to use the pier for fishing since it was underwater the whole time we were there due to bad weather. The house itself, especially the huge kitchen table was wonderful. Our family was able to sit comfortable. We did not want to leave but all good things must come to an end. We will be back and we will rent from Kandas again. She was very attenative and answered all our questions. The house is approximately 30-40 minutes from Bay City and 20-30 minutes to Matagorda. Neighborhood is quiet and neighbors were nice.
