This is a nice 2 bedroom house on the creek with a large private lighted fishing pier at the Caney Creek "Y". Fun and relaxation with excellent fishing! Downstairs bathroom for easy access to all-night fishermen. Less than one minute to the Intracoastal and 5 minutes to East Matagorda Bay by boat. Enjoy seeing unobstructed sunset views over the bay and marine traffic on the Intracoastal from the front deck.

We went for the fishing, and had a great time. Blue crabs were excellent, over 3 dozen keepers in a few days.Fishing action was good, but fish were on the smaller side. Lots of sand trout, undersized reds and black drum, and a couple specks. Very few hardheads, a huge plus!

Had a awesome Very quiet time. Very nice dock with good fishing. We didnt even take the keys out of the boat. Felt like home.

Great stay

This place was fantastic. Clean and everything we wanted for our beach getaway. Communication was more than great. We scheduled 2 nights and 3 days. Decided we wanted to go a day earlier and the process was super easy and owner was very flexible. Fishing was great. Only caught catfish mostly because of the time of year but caught plenty of keepers. Also caught plenty of legal crab to cook with the fish. Only complaint would be the boaters going in and out of the creek causing issues with the fishing but that has nothing to do with this wonderful place. The whole family had a blast and we will for sure be back!

Wonderful weekend getaway

It was my birthday weekend and we had a blast. Caught fish off the pier, atmosphere was excellent. Will be back and would definitely recommend

Fishing and the Bay house

We always enjoy spending time at Caney Creek at the Y. We are able to relax and fish. We have stayed at the Bay house several times and always leave with a lot of fish that we caught only fishing from the pier. Since we were the first customers of the year, there were a couple things that did not work and the property manager was very responsive taking care of the ones we needed to use. It was a good stay and we will be back.

Fantastic

It was in a great location. The house was nice and exactly as described. The dock is well taken care of and provides easy access to the waterways. We were very pleased.

We loved it so much and my bf got to fish all night like he wanted to while we stayed. Our kids loved the place so much it felt like home.

Sargent bay house

Great visit. Need a no wake zone in canal. Boats are very disrespectful while fishing. Fishing piers needs some attention, some boards are broken by live barrel. But truly a great visit!

Fishers delight

I have been renting from Caney Y for more than 10 years and this house is one of my favorites. This is the third time we have rented this house and we love that it has everything thing you need. It is very clean and a great place to fish or just relax. We caught a 16 inch and a 18 inch red fish which we had to throw back but we brought home some crockers and crab. We will be back and highly recommend booking this house.

Great location!

Great location with plenty of fish when the tide is right. We landed a 31" bull red off of the pier. Everything is very clean. Beds are comfy. Will definitely be back!

It was a bit more dated that it appeared in the pictures and there was no privacy in the bedrooms as the closet is not finished so it does not close the space, but it was clean.

Birthday Weekend

Great house to celebrate our son’s 16th birthday with friends and family! Plenty of room and a great fishing spot. Boys enjoyed the lighted pier and short drive to the beach for more fishing and playing. Definitely will be back…my family already booked for a week in the summer. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great Getaway

This is a great home. We really loved the dock and it's location close to the "Y" is great. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the porch and catching fish off the dock. Caught enough crabs for a crab boil too. The house was clean and comfortable. It was just my wife and me but there's room for more. Plenty of TVs and internet speed too.

Guys fishing trip

A very laid back weekend with myself and 2 sons a son in law a brother in law and a friend. The house was comfortable for us guys as we are easy to please. Beds were comfortable. We spent most of the evenings out on the dock fishing. Fishing was disappointing but still fun with the guys. If the fish aren't biting we found a bait shop around the corner that had just brought in a load of fresh Gulf shrimp that were huge and delicious along with our steaks out on the patio. A great tv to watch a couple of John Wayne movies in the hot afternoon. We had a Great time! Thank You for the use of your little cabin Craig Pruitt

Quiet and Relaxing

The property was just like the advertisement very quiet and peaceful. The housekeeper can do a better job cleaning and better sheets for the beds because some sheets was stained, but other than that I had a good time.
