Sun Moon Villa II is conveniently located within just 15 to 35 km driving distance from the most enchanting & famous beaches of South Rethymno. Plakias, Damnoni, Sxinaria, Rodakino, Triopertra, Agios Pavlos, Preveli, Agia Galini to name a few… the most famous and worth visiting beaches of Rethymno are just 15-25’ minutes away by car.

*Sun Moon Villa II is part of the complex Sun Moon Villas which includes two independent holiday homes in total, each of them with separate facilities, private entrances & pools. *The two Villas can be also rent together for families or group of friends if wished, as there is a connecting door for easy access between the two Villas.

External Living | Private Pool & BBQ
This captivating home lays in 80m² outdoor area and is embellished with a private heated swimming pool (1,25 meters deep) and two outdoor showers, one next to the pool and one at the spacious veranda. Grown-ups can lounge to their sun loungers before idling back for al fresco barbecues (Gas BBQ) under sunset skies, on the specially designed shaded area next to the pool, featuring BBQ facilities, a dining area & a football table for endless hours of fun and relaxation. An ideal holiday escape for those who seek the ultimate summery living and and if lazy days are on the agenda, recline on the sun lounger by enjoying a refreshing mojito & indulge in the nature’s revitalisation.

Pool Heating Policy:

- The pool can be heated during the days with outside temperature less than 25 °C degrees.
- 2 days in advance - prior notice is required, before arrival, for the pool to reach 27 °C, depending on the outdoor temperature. The cost is 40€ per day for each day of use.
- Pool heating can strictly be booked for the duration of your entire stay, and the total cost is a sum of the above. Prior notice is required.
- Kindly note that a pool cover is not available.
- In case of rain there won’t be a possibility to use the pool.

Where the interior décor takes inspiration from nature’s palette – fresh, colourful and inviting. Cleverly repurposed finds and sumptuous furnishings create a calming sensory design throughout the villa which spreads through two floors, making it an ideal escape for a family or group of friends. The Villa boasts exquisite interiors that exude a certain ethereal elegance, in its 150m² indoor space, boasting three bedrooms & three en-suite bathrooms, plus a shared bathroom and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in real beds. One extra guest can be accommodated at the sofa bed of the living room. The maximum capacity is 7 guests.

Location Overview

Sun Moon Villa II is located in Atsipades village, a small, yet picturesque village very close to Plakias that is set towards the centre of a large bay enclosed within the arms of mountains. In the nearby village of Koxare, guests can find a canteen.

Plakias is a popular tourist resort and can be found 20 minutes away from the villa by car. Originally a very small and quiet fishing village, it now offers a range of amenities. Plakias is renowned for it’s natural beauty, providing all the facilities that a visitor could wish for. Along the main road of the village there are several supermarkets, bakeries, ATM machines, post office, a doctor’s office, restaurants, tavernas, cafes and beach bars while on the beach there are tamarisk trees, water sports, beach volley courts, snack bars and other shops offer a very wide range of products, including local and traditional goods.

The beach is sandy and very well organised with sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, etc. The rocks surrounding the beach are ideal for fishing and snorkelling, as well. The road along the beach is also ideal for walking or cycling.

Plakias makes a good starting point for walks along the coast to Souda, or up into the encircling hills to other villages such as Sellia or Mirthios, which boasts spectacular sea views out to sea. A good coastal motor track runs west beyond Plakias, leading to Souda, Rodakino, Frangokastello and Sfakia beaches. There are plenty of walks locally, and bolder walkers will enjoy the high green countryside beyond the coastal mountain range north of town. Mountain biking and cycle touring are other local attractions.
