Κατά το σχεδιασμό και την κατασκευή της βίλας εφαρμόσαμε αρχές οικολογικού σχεδιασμού για την ελαχιστοποίηση των ενεργειακών αναγκών του σπιτιού και την εξασφάλιση της άνεσης με παθητικούς τρόπους. Με αυτό τον τρόπο κατασκευάσαμε ένα σπίτι που ικανοποιεί τις απαιτήσεις των επισκεπτών και τις καθημερινές ανάγκες, παρέχοντας: Την ενσωμάτωση του κτιρίου στο περιβάλλον του. Η θερμική λουτρό άνεσης το καλοκαίρι και το χειμώνα. Η ψύξη της βίλας (χωρίς κλιματισμό), θέρμανση και ζεστό νερό. Τέλος, εξαιρετικές συνθήκες φυσικού φωτισμού. Η βίλα είναι 186μ², χτισμένη με εσωτερική σκάλα. Στον επάνω όροφο υπάρχουν τρία υπνοδωμάτια με διπλά και μονά κρεβάτια, μπάνια και ευρύχωρες βεράντες με θέα στο απέραντο πράσινο που εκτείνεται στις κορυφές των Λευκών Ορέων.(Λευκά Όρη). Στο ισόγειο υπάρχει ένα ευρύχωρο καθιστικό με δορυφορική τηλεόραση, τζάκι και άνετο καναπέ. Καλά οργανωμένη κουζίνα, σε συνδυασμό με μια άνετη τραπεζαρία. Όλα τα υπνοδωμάτια είναι εξοπλισμένα με στρώματα Coco-mat και σεντόνια.


Τοποθεσία - Εκδρομές: Η Κατική Γωνιά βρίσκεται μόλις 8χλμ. Από το Ρέθυμνο, στο χωριό Γωνιά. Το πράσινο τοπίο περιβάλλει το σπίτι και η θέα προς τα βουνά της νότιας και δυτικής Κρήτης είναι εξαιρετική. Το περιβάλλον είναι ιδανικό για πεζοπορία σε φαράγγια άγριας ομορφιάς, πράσινα μονοπάτια και κατά μήκος γοητευτικών ρευμάτων. Οι εύφοροι ελαιώνες και οι αμπελώνες προσφέρουν μια μεγάλη διαδρομή για το τρέξιμό σας, την ποδηλασία και τις σύντομες πεζοπορίες σας. Στη γύρω περιοχή υπάρχουν φιλόξενα μικρά χωριά όπου θα μπορείτε να δοκιμάσετε τη διάσημη κρητική φιλοξενία των φιλικών ανθρώπων του τόπου. Ένα φλιτζάνι καφέ κάτω από μια μουριά μαζί με τους ανθρώπους του χωριού, ή η ανάγνωση του βιβλίου σας θα είναι εικόνες που επιστρέφουν σε σας μετά τις διακοπές σας. Οι βόρειες παραλίες απέχουν μόνο δεκαπέντε λεπτά με το αυτοκίνητο, ενώ οι εξωτικές νότιες παραλίες είναι τριάντα λεπτά με το αυτοκίνητο, έτσι οι επισκέπτες είναι χαλασμένοι για επιλογή!

Ιδιόκτητη παραδοσιακή ταβέρνα: Στην παραδοσιακή ταβέρνα μας, μόλις λίγα μέτρα από την βίλα, θα έχετε την ευκαιρία να δοκιμάσετε την παραδοσιακή κρητική κουζίνα με τον τρόπο που μόνο η «μητέρα μας» ξέρει να μαγειρεύει.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Gonia. The house is very beautiful, spacious and has everything needed. Perfect for families. The owners are wonderful people and have an excellent family restaurant down the road. We went twice in a week :) would highly recommend. Kids (and parents) were sad to leave.

Relaxing

Just returned from a week at this amazing villa. Better than the listed photos. Superbly clean and everything provided. The host, Marianna, was keen to help in anyway we required. Quiet location but with a supermarket and Marianna’s taverna a very short walk for convenience. Watching the stars from the roof terrace was a huge bonus and we even saw the Milly Way. We will return!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in dem Designerhaus wirklich sehr genossen. Die Räume sind groß, sauber und mit einer angenehmen Schlichtheit ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und kümmern sich 24 Stunden am Tag. Ihnen gehört auch eine nahe gelegene Taverne, in der man sehr gut essen kann. Absolut empfehlenswert! Fußläufig kann man einen Supermarkt erreichen. Das ist extrem viel wert. Das Gebäude ist so konzipiert, dass es im Sommer angenehm kühl ist. Man benötigt keine Klimaanlage. Zwei Wochen vergingen wie im Flug. Wir können diese Location extrem weiter empfehlen. Alles stimmt für eine überaus erholsame Zeit. Danke Marianna und Nikos. Liebe Grüße, Kristina und Dirk We really enjoyed our stay in the designer house. The rooms are large, clean and furnished with a pleasant simplicity. The hosts are extremely friendly, helpful and look after you 24 hours a day. They also own a nearby tavern where you can eat very well. Highly Recommended! A supermarket can be reached on foot. That's extremely worth it. The building is designed to be pleasantly cool in summer. You don't need air conditioning. Two weeks flew by. We can highly recommend this location. Week at Villa Gonia

We had a wonderful time at Villa Gonia, and Marianna is the consummate host! Her recommendations regarding beaches were spot on and the experience dining at her Taverna just a short walk from the villa was an absolute pleasure. We arrived during a heat wave and were concerned that there was no AC, however this was not an issue at all. The house is well designed for good air flow and to remain cool in the heat, it was nice to experience how homes SHOULD be designed for warm climates. I hope to visit again in the near future.

Amazing Family Holiday

We had an amazing time staying at the Villa. The Villa was perfect and we had a great time around the excellent pool. Marianna and Nikos and their family we so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ate at their taverna numerous times. The food was brilliant home cooked Greek food. Would definitely recommend staying there.

The perfect holiday

The villa is amazing with stunning views of the mountains, a good sized swimming pool, loads of room in the villa. The perfect hosts friendly and so welcoming, the tavern has the most amazing food, a fantastic village shop. Booking this villa is the best thing you will ever do. Crete is amazing, beautiful landscapes, amazing food and the nicest people.

wonderful people at a wonderful place

Marianna and Nikos created a beautifully designed and fantastic equipped house at a wonderful place: We spent lovely days near to northern beaches and only 40 min to southern beaches in an absolutely green and quiet surrounding. Marianna and Nikos are perfect hosts: always friendly, warm, prompt, helpful and their taverne offers great greek dishes at a lovely place. We are happy to meet them and hope to come back. Thank you!

Fantastic autmun break at Villa Gonia

Marianna and Nikos were the perfect hosts and the property was perfect for a late autumn break. The villa is very spacious with all the amenities a visiting family could need and is very well placed for exploring the island being near to Rethymno and with the south coast beaches and mountains easily accessible. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Villa in Beautiful Crete

We stayed for 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. Very clean, amazing pool and everything you need to really enjoy your holiday . These renters have made sure it’s like home and have everything from coffee machine to toastie maker !! Great location for exploring Crete. What was outstanding was the communication with Marianna , thoughtful, very kind and always happy to help. Her local taverna is a very short walk away and food just amazing !!

Amazing!!!

We have just arrived back from a gorgeous week, as 2 families there was plenty of space, the set up of the villa is perfect as you can see the children from all angles. Mariana is absolutely wonderful and completes the stay, met us on arrival and then answered all of our questions and guided us all week. They also own the incredible taverna at the bottom of the road, which is truly delicious!! Along with the mini market too, there is everything you need. we absolutely loved that it wasn’t touristy and we were staying amongst the locals and out of the way but everything was there. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back, my family is already excited to book from hearing about our holiday! Thank you again Mariana ♥️

2 weeks stay!

What an amazing place, thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks stay at villa Gonia. Marianna and Nikos looked after us from the minute we checked in until our last night. Communication was excellent from the day we booked and never had an issue. Their local taverna is only a 2min walk from the villa and offers some great Cretan dishes. It was our first time in crete and certainly won’t be the last one. We wouldn’t hesitate booking the villa again.

As good as it looks!

Marianna and Nikos are the perfect hosts - totally unobtrusive but immediately responsive to queries and requests. Their taverna just five minutes walk from the villa does great food and has a cosy, authentic vibe. The villa itself looks exactly as it does in the photos - immaculate inside and out, with high quality appliances, a very spacious lounge and kitchen and nice shaded areas for eating outside. Although the lack of air conditioning meant the bedrooms upstairs got a bit warm at times, every room has a good sized fan, and the swimming pool was crisp and refreshing first thing and warmed up naturally in the sun during the day. The location is excellent - perfectly peaceful up in the hills but with a mini market just a few minutes walk away for essentials, beaches just a 15 - 20 minute drive away and more great restaurants, right on the waterfront, just 10 minutes by car. We were a family of four, with two kids under four and we all had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

Do not hesitate.... It's truly amazing!

The best place we've ever stayed. This beautiful house has everything listed and so much more, everything has been thought of. Full insect screens on all the doors and windows are a huge plus. Many cocktail nights on the roof terrace, star gazing. The village is very peaceful and has a very convenient little supermarket. Marianna and Nikos are lovely people, they are available if needed but not at all invasive. They have a Taverna around the corner which is fabulous, delicious and very reasonable (we ate there 5 times in 2 weeks!) I'd advise to rent a car and drive to some of the stunning calm sea beaches on the South - about 40 min easy drive. North beaches also lovely. Would love to go back one day. Perfect House Wonderful owners

We had a fabulous time at Gonia . Not only the house was just perfect for 6 people (extra clean, very well equipped), but we met wonderful people, Mariana and Lukos and their children and Grandma. One of those vacation time which stays in your heart for ever.

Just perfect

We had a perfect stay at the accommodation. We can't remember when we relaxed so perfectly in our vacations. The villa is equipped at a very high standard. The kids where either playing in the clean pool or sunbathing on the sunbeds all day. The villa is located just a few meters from a mini market for the daily supply or the lovely taverna of Nikos and Marianna where one can enjoy great Cretan cuisine. And if one decides to leave the villa, Rethymno is just a 15min drive away, the Northern beaches 20min and the great southern beaches about 30mins, We experienced so much kind hospitality that we almost felt home (or part of the "family"). We are very much looking forward to our next stay. Thanks for a fantastic time.

Beautiful villa

Responsiveness leading up to the stay was excellent. Villa was exactly as expected based on the pictures and description. Marianna and Niko were lovely hosts. Flexibility on arrival and departure times was much appreciated. The villa was exceptionally clean and well presented. Had a wonderful evening and meal at the local taverna run by the hosts. Accueil de la propriétaire de la villa excellent, aucun problème La villa de conception récente et moderne est très agréable à vivre, mais il n'y a pas de climatisation, souhait de la propriétaire En plein été et malgré la conception de la maison, certaines nuits ont été un peu chaudes Heureusement, il y a des ventilateurs portatifs dans toutes les chambres L'environnement de la maison est assez calme, hormis le bêllement des chèvres et le jappement intempestif de certains chiens... Je conseille au final cette villa Gonia 😊👍

Magnifique villa contemporaine

Une villa d’architecte exceptionnelle au sein d’un petit village Crétois. Située à quelques kilomètres de Rethymnon vous pourrez accéder très vites à ses plages et vous pourrez rejoindre plus facilement les plages du sud de l’île(Plakias....). Marianna, Nikos et leurs enfants sont adorables et d’une hospitalité exceptionnelle. Merci à eux pour nous avoir permis de passer de superbes vacances. Laurence et Philippe

We are also the owners of a traditional tavern ANDROULIDAKIS, which is 150m far from our Villa.
