There is vegetation (trees and blueberry bushes) right up to the waters edge, with a nice dock area. You must cross the street to get to the dock area. Behind the house, there are some rugged trails and logging roads to roam around on. The logging roads were last used during the 2015 winter, so there should be some fairly open snowshoeing right on the property. The White Mountain National Forest is just to the south accessible near Pattee Brook Marsh and the Albany Notch Trail.
