Comfy and dog friendly

Garden cottage is a cute old cottage in the middle of woodland. It is warm and comfortable and has an excellent shower and big comfy beds. Staff and owner are helpful and friendly and the cottage is about to be redecorated to spruce it up. The kitchen is very small but everything functions and I left instruction for starting the dishwasher in the cutlery drawer Chatgbt very helpful! Garden is not secure for a dog but is enormous and lovely. Overall we would stay again as it fitted our needs well for an autumnal break with a setter!

Pontos positivos: Limpeza, check-in, comunicação, localização e precisão do anúncio
The property was generally good. Very secluded. The garden is large but not fully secure. Only flimsy twigs across breaks in the surrounding hedges so I would advise not appropriate for any dogs that have a tendency to wander. Several of the windows are old fashioned metal frames so whilst we were warm enough in October I would think the property might be colder later in the year. The double bed upstairs was comfortable and rooms nicely furnished. Can’t comment on the others as only my husband and myself on our visit. More wine glasses would be useful. As previous reviewers have mentioned the kitchen is very small. The location was good for sightseeing in the area with easy access to both coasts of the Lynn peninsula.

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage, our second visit. We really appreciate the beautiful setting of the cottage, surrounded by nature and easy access to drive to some very beautiful parts of Wales. We had a small problem that came up during our stay and this was resolved straight away! If we are visiting this area again, we would certainly consider coming back here!

Cottage garden tranquil oasis, your away from the hustle and bustle of life in general, beautiful gardens surrounded by wonderful wildlife and woodland and only 15 mins from a local seaside town

Soo peaceful & beautiful

We have stayed a couple of times. The garden is beautiful and large ( which our dog loves). It’s one of the few places where you leave feeling rested and relaxed, and there’s enough around to keep the whole family entertained central to various beaches and bowling. Just beautiful.

Garden cottage

Unfortunately the cottage had not had a deep clean before we arrived, cobwebs and fire not cleaned out , dishwasher broken and down stairs loo needed a tidy, but the cottage still gave that wonderful away from it all vibe , the gardens are amazing as always, the owners met us on arrival to explain the issues with dishwasher and loo and when they would be fixed , the new dishwasher did not arrive during our stay , and l must state this did not dampen our stay as it was a wonderful relaxing stay

Another fantastic holiday in the absolute peace of Garden Cottage. A lovely blend of period and modern. Everything that could be needed is provided. Very clean and comfortable. Hard to describe just how lovely this Cottage is. It's just so peaceful, time flew by bit lasted ages, as if we were in the perfect holiday bubble. Really hope we can come again

Autumn break

We had an excellent week in Garden Cottage, the location was perfect. The grounds and surrounding woodland provided our dog with the perfect playground.Really comfortable cottage, isolated but with excellent WiFi,Smart TV etc.The only slight criticism is the cooking utensils could do with a bit of an upgrade. However this didn’t spoil what was a brilliant holiday. Thank you.

Not great!

The positives for this cottage are the location and the garden. The beds are comfy and bed linen crisp and clean. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh them. At the very least it needs a deep clean, at first glance it looks fine but on closer inspection its filthy in places. It smells musty and feels damp in the main living room, the furnishings and decor are tatty (apart from newish beds). The kitchen wasnt equipped with basics like a corkscrew and scissors and there wasnt much room to store our food and it was generally grubby. Whilst on a lovely estate most of it wasnt accessible which was a shame. I think the photographer of the cottage has been very creative, its not somewhere we will be returning to. On a final note the lady (Louise?) who maintains the grounds and properties was friendly and knowlegeable about the area.

Magical setting but needs some love

Garden great and a truly private setting but not secure for dogs. The cottage does need some investment and a welcome pack would have been nice. The dresser was full of broken games, dead batteries and mixed up jigsaws. Feels like an old family private cottage rather than a holiday business which I don't mind but it's just a but tired.

Lovely isolated cottage for the quiet life.

The location of this cottage is superb. Very little traffic, to the farm along the track, so almost silent. The cottage is big enough for 4 dogs, with spacious bedrooms, comfortable lounge diner and an amazing garden with different areas. Lots of flowers, trees and apples, but, oddly not many birds. Although, we did hear owls every evening. Not much information about the local area, dog walks, beaches, etc but with the Internet we were able to do our own research. Not much information about recycling, rubbish disposal, walking to the lake, etc, either, but the owner, Jonathan, was very helpful when we met him. The cottage could do with a deep clean and a little maintenance, but this didn't detract from our relaxation or comfort. Probably the second best cottage we have stayed in and we would definitely go back.

Unpleasant

Our stay at this cottage was extremely disappointing due to the unacceptable level of cleanliness. The most alarming issue was the presence of cobwebs—everywhere. In the corners of the ceiling, behind furniture, even hanging from the lights. It felt like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks, if not longer. I would not recommend this cottage to anyone until they seriously address their cleaning standards. To make matters worse, the water heater wasn’t working properly. I had to deal with inconsistent hot water during my stay, which was incredibly frustrating, especially after long days out.we were offered a refund of £100 which was the only positive thing.
