Cozy, Relaxing Stinson Beach Getaway

Clean, cozy house with gorgeous natural light in the gated Seadrift community. Manmade lagoon for swimming and boating on one side, Bolinas estuary filled with ongoing parade of egrets, pelicans and herons on the other. Easy walk to the beach and tennis courts. A perfect area for kids to run, bike or skate freely.

Cable TV, ROKU, and a DVD player and, better yet, lots of books and games, a Bose CD player with iPod capability, an eclectic assortment of CDs, and many comfy chairs for reading and dozing. Electric keyboard for respectful use.

Sunny, warm deck with huge hot tub and view of Marin hills, well protected from wind and fog. Several canoes. SUPS and kayaks get you on the water. Wireless internet access for those who can't leave work behind. Bikes available for use, as well as sand toys and life preservers.

Two rooms with Queen beds and a newly renovated third room with full sized bed, tv and window seat, toilet and sink - a perfect place for some to hang out watching a movie or sports while others relax in the living room by the fire.

Spectacular hiking and bird-watching are nearby, and the gentle waves at north end of the beach offer one of the best beginning surfing spots in California.

Please try to limit yourself to two cars only. THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT PARKING across the street on the open space. It is monitored by the Marin County Open Space district and they frequently come at night and ticket people. Please limit your guests, have them carpool, or park outside the gate if there is no room in the driveway.

Zen on the Lagoon

Great space! The amazing views of the lagoon or estuary from front and back of home (including bedrooms). We wish we invited friends, house was huge. Everything for cooking was supplied in kitchen, washer and dryer, great seating on every deck level. We used the kayaks and paddleboards, canoes were also an option. I highly recommend this home for an amazing getaway. The Lagoon is so peaceful. You can hear the ocean and the walk is not far. Our hosts did a great job with the amount of space they have.

Perfect and peaceful

Property was perfect for our birthday celebration weekend. Peaceful (lagoon and beach), great layout (for a group and spaces/books for reading), awesome location (on the lagoon and walk to beach), fun (hot tub, canoe, paddle boards, fire pit). Great getaway!

Lagoon vacay

My daughter and her bff and I shared a magical few days on the lagoon here. Great surf spot accessed via private beach, incredible wildlife in Bolinas Bay, fun paddle boarding and kayaking. The fire pit was great for s'mores. Beds comfy.

A perfect getaway

Our group of friends was looking for a cozy weekend house to relax and found exactly what we needed with this lovely home. Sunny, open with a well appointed kitchen and deck, we cooked, enjoyed the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes on the lagoon as well as the hot tub and fire pit.

Wonderful family friendly beach house

The house had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was very well stocked, lots of puzzles and games for our one rainy day, and paddle boards, canoes and kayaks for the water. Communication with the owner was top notch. I have already recommended to house to family and friends - it’s a perfect location to explore the Bay Area while also enjoying the beauty of the beach.

Perfect location, fabulous house

The location of the house right on the lagoon alone would have made our stay great, but so many other things were perfect for us too: clear and fast owner communications, simple check-in and lock system, gorgeous water views out both sides of the house, a dock and boats, lovely furnishings and books, comfortable bedrooms, and a well-supplied kitchen. Being able to vacation with our dogs made it even more fun and memorable!

Best spot in Stinson!

This is the second time my family has stayed at this house in Sea Drift and it is the best! Megan is responsive and helpful and the house is cozy and comfortable. The views from both sides of the house are amazing. We love using the canoes the paddle the lagoon and explore. Can't wait for next year!

A great stay in the lagoon!

We loved this comfortable house on the lagoon with wonderful views in both directions. Even though it was rainy the first day we were able to enjoy the hot tub and a sunset canoe and paddle board when the sky cleared. The house is cozy and comfortable with a great open floor plan and a well-stocked kitchen. Exactly as described.

Birthday on the Lagoon

We had a beautiful birthday stay at your home. We canoed and kayaked on the lagoon. We also took a bike ride to the city of Stinson Beach and had a soft serve ice cream. The house is big enough to sleep 6 and is well equipped with everything. We would surely come back.

Excellent vacation home!

We absolutely loved our stay at Megan’s place! The home was clearly a family treasure. It was well represented in the pictures on the listing. The rooms were all well appointed and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. We used the hot tub multiple times a day. The kayaks and canoe were so special to float on the peaceful lagoon. Megan was responsive and helpful. We can’t wait to come again!

PERECT Vacation

The home was much larger than we expected and wow the place is gorgeous. Kitchen has everything anyone could ask for, the grill worked like a dream, beds were comfortable and the outside deck was perfect for our family. We didn’t want to leave. Home owner was excellent communicated and super nice too - always an added benefit . Highly recommend - just don’t try to book when we are because we want to go back again

Wonderful!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at this property. Waterfront with views of wetlands, birds, seals on the estuary side, and an amazing lagoon for canoeing, paddle boarding, and swimming on the other side. Private beach within walking distance. So peaceful. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make wonderful meals. So many seating areas for every time of day. Dog friendly! Comfortable beds! It was almost impossible to leave and we will be back many times in the future!

Relaxing Family Getaway

Megan's gem was amazing. We had such a good time. There is a TON of natural light and in such a cute area. We loved the views from both sides of the house. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor deck and lounging in the sun. One of our other favorite things was the proximity to a fairly private beach and the beautiful walk to it. Megan was super communicative and very sweet. We feel lucky to have stayed at such an awesome VRBO!

The marshmallows in the fun glass jar!

Loved the many cushioned outdoor seating areas, hot tub, outdoor gas firepit, indoor fireplace with tons of firewood, tons of beach towels, and especially the marshmallows in a fun glass jar to roast and make s-mores with! Our mini schnauzer might have slipped through the right outdoor gate that doesn't go to the ground, so we blocked it with wood planks. It was colder in the room with full bed, and we found a heater in the closet that helped. For those without pets, you may not want to brush off the dog hair from the chairs opposite the kitchen...we had dogs so didn't mind much. Wanted to stay longer to enjoy the game table and all the water toys!! Well-equipped kitchen was homey and user-friendly. Thanks Megan for a terrific time!

Stinson Beach Family getaway!

Amazing is the first word that comes to mind! Stinson Beach was an easy 2 hour drive from our home so less time actually traveling in the car and more time at this beautiful home creating memories. The home is on a beautiful lagoon and has canoes, kayaks and paddle boards for the renters to use and enjoy. The fire pit is perfect for after dinner s'mores and the hot tub is great for any time of day! Our adult son and his girlfriend and two pups joined us, and we all had plenty of space. You can hear the waves of the ocean when you are on the deck or in the master bedroom if the door is open. You can walk with your family and doggies to the actual beach just one street over and at the end of the complex. The beach there is basically private so there is not too many people and we had a blast watching our dogs playing in the waves. Megan was always quick to respond and very nice. Read your paperwork before you leave your house and it's easy to check in. Don't do what I did. In my busy daily life, I thought I could wing it and neglected to read the check in instructions, which caused a couple of snags that I take full responsibility for!! But Megan quickly responded and then everything was fine! The house is even more beautiful than the pictures. We hope to be back to Megan's place in the future.

Stinson family vacation

We had a lovely time, and would like to return. The house is situated in a perfect spot with views onto both lagoons. We’ve stayed at many houses in Stinson over the years, and this was one of the best, most comfortable of all.

Beautiful location- amazing kayaking and bird-watching

This house is beautiful inside and out- we stayed with another family and loved the living spaces, the decks with stunning views, and the privacy of the spaced-out bedrooms. The house sits on wide loop of lagoons ending in a beach. Our youngest learned to ride her bike on the long flat road, so we all rented beach cruisers to join her on rides back and forth to the beach, and out to observe harbor seals. We would definitely return to this beautiful location!

Perfect Seadrift Home

We've stayed at several properties in Seadrift and this one of our favorites. The location is terrific - we love the eastern side of the lagoon because you get the dramatic views of the Bolinas lagoon which is filled with birds. It's also very walkable to the beach and tennis courts. The house is well appointed including water toys, hot tub, etc. And the owner is always super responsive!

Great Stay at Stinson!

What a wonderful trip for our family! The house is located in a perfect spot in the Seadrift community - right between the manmade lagoon and the natural Bolinas lagoon and a short walk to the beach. The house is equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen for cooking meals, including a large gas grill. The house is stocked with linens, beach towels, and there was plenty of room for our family, friends, and our dogs. It was great having the canoe and kayak provided with the house, as well as the cruiser bikes for laps around the neighborhood. Thanks fo much for a great stay!

A breath of fresh air!!!

The house is open to the views in all directions, sun drenched, and well equipped! Our group loves the water and are foodies. The kitchen had everything we needed, even a waffle maker which we intended to bring and forgot! The front garden is lovely! Will hopefully return in the near future!!
