Family time near the beach

Well equipped cottage with plenty of space for all the family and two dogs. Lovely walks along the dunes and further inland. The children loved the swimming especially when the seals popped up to join them. Our second visit to Sunny View as it gave us everything we needed for the family.

Wonderful stay

We are regular visitors to Winterton-on-Sea and we like to try different properties to stay in while we are there. Sunny view had everything that you would ever need for a enjoyable and comfortable stay. From an amazing hamper to comfortable beds and amazing location we could not fault it. If you want the place to stay then this is it. Cannot highly recommend this property enough.

Lovely cottage

We had a lovely holiday here property was ideal for us 3 adults & 3 dogs. The garden was great fully enclosed with lots of seating. Parking a bit tight for a large car but can park outside on the road. Weather was excellent and we visited many places all very dog friendly. Quite a walk to Winterton beach now since the storm. Would definitely recommend Sunny View.

Great central location in this charming village.

Great property in a great location in the village. Everything you needed in the property. Very spacious and great layout. Central heating although took a while to heat up but once warm very cosy!

Cottage review

Second visit to this gorgeous cottage, beautiful location so near to the beach. Cottage ticks all the boxes for a restful stay , especially as we were celebrating a special birthday. We are regular visitors to Winterton and will definitely stay here again Thank you for the lovely welcome hamper too

Fantastic Holiday

The bungalow was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed. Spoke to the owner about pegs and they were delivered in an hour. Super friendly. Location was great for the beach and the local pub was great and beautiful food.

Late Holiday

Excellent bungalow everything you needed for a relaxing week. Ideally situated for exploring Norfolk. Village is lovely, people are friendly especially Poppy's the little restaurant great food and very welcoming. Would certainly recommend this bungalow couldn't fault it and the lovely Hamper which was left for us was the icing on the cake..Thank you so much

Really nice cottage and location.

Great property, one of those you feel is bigger and better than the pictures suggest for a change, which was nice. The house has everything you could need for a family holiday and we had a great welcome pack! The location is amazing too, a good pub, shop, beach and tearoom within a couple of minutes walk! We know the general area well and were worried about the proximity of places like Hemsby and Yarmouth but Winterton is like a sleepy little village in comparison. Absolutely perfect for 3 adults and 3 kids for a chilled beach holiday.

7 minute walk to a sandy beach

The property was clean and ready when we arrived. The kitchen had a good stock of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and there were loads of books, DVDs, games in case they were needed. The beds were comfortable, and there was a spacious lounge. A rotary clothes line in the garden enabled beachwear to be dried, ready for the next day. Ample parking for one car, and we parked the second car across the side gates, off the main road and not causing an obstruction. The village is quiet with the store post office and chippy all a 5 minute walk away. The beach is about a 7 minute walk, or 3 minute drive to a car park where it costs (currently) £8 to park all day. The beach is mainly sandy and didn’t get crowded even when hot and sunny at the start of August. There are sand dunes to explore and we frequently saw seals swimming just off shore. A special mention to the Greyhound Inn at Hickling, but recommend booking a table in advance. We’ve already booked for next year!

Sunny View- It certainly was

We had an amazing week at Sunny View, helped by the wall to wall sunshine. The bungalow is in an amazing location close to everything Winterton has to offer. So the inside - really comfortable, everything you need for a week away and very nicely furnished and decorated. Outside- wow what a garden completely secure wrap around garden, our dogs loved it , both sun and shade to suit everyone, only thing missing for us was a parasol around the table area, that would have been handy in the very hot weather we experienced. Would highly recommend and we would love to come back.

Another nice stay

Our second stay in Sunny View this year. It is a lovely property and this time we made use of the garden. The provision of an umbrella would be nice as the table and chairs are on full sun most of the day. We had an issue on arrival with the key safe being jammed. I rang the landline and only got the usual recorded response to leave a message. We had Rachel's mobile number from a previous stay and had to use that instead. Fortunately despite being on holiday Rachel sorted the issue immediately. I do think there should be an emergency contact number available at least on change over days as had we not had Rachel's own number I'm not sure our message would have been picked up on the landline ansaphone before we'd had to make the 3 hour journey home.

Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay at Sunny View again. I'm pleased we were able to assist within minutes of arrival with opening the keysafe. I just wanted to also reassure you that Rachel's (the owner) mobile number is included with all guest arrival details, and that our landline does alert us every time a message is left.
