Charming condominium in the midst of historic Lewes, Delaware converted from the original 1828 Bethel United Methodist Church. It is a spacious first floor unit with large rooms, high ceilings, and original heart pine floors, filled tastefully with vintage American furniture and accented with art collected both locally and abroad. The condominium is a short three block walk to downtown Lewes with its excellent restaurants and shops, and a 5-10 minute drive to the beaches of Delaware Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and Cape Henlopen State Park.

Second time staying here, Beautiful condo in a great location in historic Lewes. About a 2 block walk to restaurants and shops. The condo is lovely. Bright, clean, and spacious. Jeff is a wonderful host. He is very considerate and thoughtful towards his guests.

Not our first stay, won't be our last!

This is a beautifully decorated property on a quiet street in the historic district of Lewes. It is so convenient to downtown shopping, restaurants, and exploring adjacent neighborhoods via the walking paths. Our host was attentive and the property is well appointed. This was a repeat stay for us and we will come back again. Yeah, it's that good!

Jeff left some treats in the fridge- nice touch. Apartment is well cared for and very close to the Second Street where all of the restaurants are.

Much larger than photos. ALL the rooms are very roomy with exceptionally high ceilings; so comfortable! In the best location in historic Lewes. Can't recommend enough.

Great vacay spot

Wonderful home in a perfect location. Walkable to restaurants, quick drive to the brach. The house is equipped and stocked with everything you need. There was a fresh loaf of bread from local bakery, bowl with fresh fruit, fresh orange juice in the fridge: very thoughtful of the owner and very appreciated. The owner is quick to respond with any questions. We cannot wait to return! One of the best vacations.

Perfect place in Lewes DR

This was the most thoughtful place I have ever stayed! The hosts have thought of everything, from coffee, milk, OJ and pastries to greet you to every item you could imagine in the house. Great location a few blocks from downtown Lewes with great shops and restaurants. We were just two people, but I could see this working for a family reunion as well. A very classy place!! Thank you Jeff!

First time staying here. It is the best property we have rented in Lewes! Spacious, bright, and clean. In a lovely neighborhood and so close to Second Street. Our host was traveling and made arrangements for someone else to great us which worked out great. First time we have been welcomed in a rental with a bowl of fresh fruit and some surprises in the refrigerator. The kitchen has everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay.

End of June Stay

The condo is very spacious, clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The bedrooms are large, and the beds are very comfortable.The location is right around the corner from the shops and restaurants on 2nd street and is located in a neighborhood of very old houses that have been maintained with a lot of love.Jeffrey is a thoughtful host. He leaves coffee, milk, OJ, yogurt and fresh baked bread as well as multiple pitchers of filtered water.The linens are top quality and plenty - including beach towels. A note about the beach chairs - they are the old style that are very low to the ground with a straight back, so bring your own or rent one if your knees are not young anymore.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Jeffrey is an amazing host, providing all the little things that make a place feel like home. Everything from the freshly baked bread and yogurt to the comfy beds and high quality linens, to the way the condo is decorated, gives the guest the feeling of being at home. All your needs have been anticipated and provided for. The location is on one of the most charming streets in town and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We cannot wait to return and we echo the comments of every other 5 star review.

What a Gem!

This property is amazing! It is very convenient; a short walk to restaurants, shops, etc. The neighborhood is positively charming with all the historic homes. The property itself is beautifully maintained: incredibly clean with stunning decor. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare dishes and they were sweet enough to leave us bagels with cream cheese and butter, orange juice and milk, and a bowl of fruit. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of bath, bed, and beach linens, and several beach chairs to use. The house is gorgeous, but also comfortable and we truly enjoyed our time here.

Perfect location in a historic neighborhood; short walk to restaurants and shops and one mile from the beach. This first floor condo has spacious rooms and can easily accommodate a family of 5. Bathrooms have been updated, queen size beds are comfortable, kitchen is adequate but not equipped for full meal prep. Parking for two cars is shared driveway with other tenants. Jeff met us at the property to let us in and walked us through the condo. He also stocked the kitchen with juice, yogurt, milk, fresh fruit and coffee.

We were delighted to book our second stay with Jeff for a mother-daughter weekend. He is a gracious host and very responsive. His home is spacious, beautiful and immaculately clean. There is plenty of room to spread out in the large living room, formal dining room, and eat in kitchen. If you have to work, there is also a writing desk. Jeff's place also has a large tree-covered deck where we relaxed with a drink after an arduous beach day. The kitchen was stocked with oils, spices, butter, yogurt, coffees, milk and bread, so we did not have to rush out that first morning to shop, and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. The bathrooms have full size shampoos, conditioners, soaps and hand cream. Fluffy towels abound. The beds are both supportive and soft - super comfortable. Jeff also has beach chairs and towels so you don't have to bring your own. Walk right out the door to the shops in Lewes, restaurants, and the water front pathway. Great location in the historic district.

Historic Heart of Lewes, DE

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful property in Lewes, DE. The location -- a four-minute walk from downtown -- can't be beat, and is on a very quiet residential street. The "condo," which is very large and airy, is on the first floor of a historic church. Two other condos are on the second and third floors of the building, and are completely separate. This unit has been beautifully restored, including original wood floors, comfortable furniture, a well-stocked kitchen and a nice deck to relax on outside when the weather is warmer. Communication with the owner was flawless, and everything else about the property was exactly as advertised. We will certainly stay at this property again if it's available in the future!

Lovely Space in the heart of historic Lewes

We found Jeff's place to be spacious with a well stocked kitchen. Jeff stocked the kitchen with milk, yogurt, fresh bread, and fruit. The decor is lovely and the location is quiet despite being only a few blocks from downtown.

Beautiful, comfortable home, ideal location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, and the owner stocked the kitchen with a surprisingly generous supply of staples. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location in the heart of the charming, historic district of Lewes was ideal for visiting the shops and restaurants as well as close to Lewes Beach and Henlopen State Park. In town Quiet Hideaway

EVERYTHING we needed, excellent kitchen, lots of space, well maintained. Place to park our bicycles outside. Nice linens, and total relaxation. Superb host, extra touches to make your stay that much better!

Bigger and better than listed

This property was gorgeous, and much more spacious than the listing makes it seem. Right in town and walkable to all the restaurants within a couple short blocks. The shower was super luxe, and everything was comfortable and well-considered. Little extras like welcome bagels and milk for our kids were really appreciated. The host's communication was really kind when one of our children unexpectedly became ill. We hope we can stay here again and would absolutely recommend it.

Their family consists of a Golden Retriever and a young adult daughter, and hobbies include sailing on the Delaware Bay, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
