Real Escapes Properties is pleased to offer this two bedroom, two bathroom ocean front residence at Shipwatch on St. Simons Island. The sought-after Shipwatch Community is located on the stretch of beach between the historic Coast Guard Station and Massengale Park. With just 52 units in the complex, Shipwatch is a favorite destination for families, couples and snowbirds alike.

Amenities include secured gated entry, pool, covered parking, grass lawn, community grill and private boardwalk to the beach. Each condo has two bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, an open dining/ living room, kitchen and balcony.

Unless specified, residences do not offer ocean views.

CHECK IN: 4:00 pm CHECK OUT: 10:00 am

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (4 persons).
• Pets are not allowed in this unit
• Parking is available for 2 vehicles.
•The beach is a short walk away with Shipwatch's private boardwalk. The Pier/Village area is 2 miles away

Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old - this applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 2 TVs located in this property.
• Linens (Bath towels and bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bag. Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.

Road trip visit

Unit was a bit dated, but was perfect for us. It was clean and convenient to everything we wanted to do. St.Simon Island is a really cool beach town, if you are familiar with small beach towns. Would definitely recommend this unit. Property managers were very nice and helpful with recommendations. Great visit.

Very nice condo

Our family found the condo to be in good condition, and we had everything we needed for our beach vacation. We were particularly pleased with how well the air conditioner ran; even with the heat index over 100, the condo was comfortable. The covered parking was nice to keep our vehicle cool. The beach was beautiful, the pool was nice, and restaurants and shopping were just a short drive away. We would stay here again.

Ok for a short stay

The apt. was much smaller than expected from pictures. It was comfortable for 2 people but for more than two it might be cramped. It is need of some upgrading, cabinets, furniture (we are not big people and sofa sinks), lighting (lots of switches that go to nothing) and bed linens (not new or crisp). New flooring was good. Location on the beach was great. Pool was good. Directions from rental office were spot on. Overall a good stay. Cabinets should be cleaned out, wiped out and be sure tea pitcher and serving items are not in area where trash is kept. Appliances could use updating. But we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet location

This property is a condo unit, with rental properties on all sides. The area is more crowded than it appears on the listing, but the population seems to be more low key, families having a good time, not a late night party scene. The unit is beautiful, tastefully decorated, updated furnishings and flooring, although one can observe that it is an older unit. The layout is great! This unit does not overlook the ocean, but if you look closely you can see the ocean from the balcony. The balcony view is gorgeous southern foliage, not another building. The walk to the beach is a private walkway, but it is longer than it appears in the listing. Our next stay, we will choose a unit number ending in 00 or 02 for the best ocean views.

Great affordable condo

Our condo unit was clean, neat, and well-equipped with towels, silverware, plates, and coffeemaker. Our unit was on the third floor and there is a good elevator, plus luggage carts to help with loading and unloading the car. We had no trouble with any appliances, and the unit does include a small washer and dryer which was great. The internet, TV, and cable all worked smoothly and according to the provided passwords and instructions. We came down after work so had to do after-hours check-in, which could not have been easier. The Real Escapes property office was timely and clear with their emails and also left me a voicemail, and everything worked just the way they said. The pool was nice and the boardwalk to the beach was well-maintained. You WILL want to bring bug spray for the walk to the beach. It is a fairly long walk through the dunes, and there is lots of greenery that is home to lots of bugs. It would probably be easiest to have a beach wagon if you have kids and/or stuff to bring out to the beach.

Relaxing with beautiful view

We really enjoyed this property. Beautiful view of the beach. Easy to find and access. Condo was clean and property manager let us know the day before that the unit was clean and ready for our arrival and we could check in before the 4pm check in time. The path to the beach was grown up a little but nothing major to stop us from staying again.

Disappointed with this Unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation rental needs new furniture in the living area. The sofa & chair are both dirty & have sagging cushions. The rug is Aldo dirty & starting to fall apart. All the chairs at the dining table had stains.The main bedroom has very poor lighting. We had to use our phone flashlights to see in the dresser draws.I reported to the realtor that the deck table was not cleaned & had sand all over it & a clothing sticker stuck on it.We are staying in a different unit on our next stay that we stayed in previously that wasn’t available for our August visit.

That made things a lot easier for us to bring up!We could see the ocean from our balcony. It is a nice place to stay at St. Simons, Island. We loved the pool! The property was well kept. I do have a bit of a complaint about parking. We were issued parking passes for two cars, but more than once we had no parking there! We had to go around and around and double park to find a place for our vehicle. That is something I think needs to be looked at from the management of Shipwatch. Had a good stay here!

Fun in the sun

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Renting from the agency was very easy. Brooke was delightful to work with. She answered questions promptly and when the condo unit’s dishwasher didn’t work she had a repairman there promptly. This particular unit is very tired and worn and can really use some TLC. However, for a week’s stay we were comfortable, it was satisfactorily clean and it did not inhibit our stay. The trek to the beach was easy. The pool area was very well maintained. I would recommend this rental agency. I would recommend this unit with reservation as it is so worn.
