Real Escapes Properties is pleased to offer this two bedroom, two bathroom ocean front residence at Shipwatch on St. Simons Island. The sought-after Shipwatch Community is located on the stretch of beach between the historic Coast Guard Station and Massengale Park. With just 52 units in the complex, Shipwatch is a favorite destination for families, couples and snowbirds alike.

The master bedroom features a king bed and en-suite with a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a set of twin beds. The second bath is a full bathroom with tub/shower combination.

Amenities include secured gated entry, pool, covered parking, grass lawn, community grill and private boardwalk to the beach. Each condo has two bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, an open dining/ living room, kitchen and balcony. Unless specified, residences do not offer ocean views.

CHECK IN: 4:00 pm CHECK OUT: 10:00 am

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (6 persons).
• One Dog allowed with the addition of the $100 pet fee
• Parking is available for 2 vehicles.
•The beach is accessible via Shipwatch's private boardwalk. The Pier/Village area is 2 miles away

Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old - this applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 2 TVs located in this property.
• Linens (Bath towels and bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bag. Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.

Annual beach trip with grandkids

Like location, keurig was broken, repairs going on at condo building was noisy & wake us up early. Overall we’d stay again.

Great stay during a tropical storm

The condo was exactly as described. The property was clean and maintained well. Tropical Storm Debby passed through during our stay. Although we lost power for 2 hours, we felt safe and protected during the storm. We even had access to a car port so our car was safe too. have used a few more dish and bath towels, but that is easy to mitigate with the washer and dryer.

Great to Time!

The condo was great but a few things need to be addressed. The main toilet would stick and continue to run and there were no sheets for the sofa bed.

Family Beach Trip

Came to this property for our family beach trip before school starts. It was wonderful. The beach was a short walk away and there is a private wooden boardwalk that spans about halfway of the walk. The pool was a huge hit with our kids. The balcony was huge and like additional living space. We’d have our kids drip-dry and play games out there coming in from the beach/pool. Had one maintenance issue come up (a toilet was continuously running) but they came to fix it quickly. Overall, we had a great time and can’t wait to come back!

Needs some updating and freshening up

Carpet is stained, dishwasher is falling out when you open it. Updating and freshening would help. Otherwise it was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Master bedroom carpet needs cleaning. Overhead exhaust vents in both bathrooms do not work. Shower curtains have mildew. Dishwasher falls out when you place dishes in washer. A/c unit drops water on entrance floor when running. Sofa needs an overhaul.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we loved our stay. The unit was as described, very clean, and well maintained. 109 is on a second level but there is an elevator. The elevator is small and no air conditioning. It can be slow. 109 is close to the pool. The residents were nice and helpful.The kitchen is well stocked with basic cooking needs. The complex is well maintained and clean. The pool area was nice and the pool is salt. Access to the beach: the condo does have beach access but there is a walk to get to the beach. Make sure you remember where you come out on the beach or you will miss the path on your return. Parking: covered parking is very tight. If you are driving a midsize to large vehicle don’t try it. Park in the parking. There are 2 buildings with no unit signage. 109 is the right building (facing the buildings)The real estate agency handling this unit was awesome. Great communication. We received a call the day of arrival letting us know we could check-in early. Access to area attractions: short drive to lighthouse and village. St Simons is golf cart friendly.

Getting away for a few days!

TV in master never worked. Reported and after repeated calls told maintenance had been in condo and couldn't fix. They came in without letting us know, didn't fix and didn't communicate at all. Beach access was very deceiving. It was quicker to load up and go to public beach than to get to condo beach area. Had to walk through dunes, sea grass and standing water to get to ocean. The mosquitoes were so bad my husband and I both had over 30 bites on us. Really big mosquitoes! They can not control nature, but full disclosure in description would have been appropriate. We probably would still have rented, but would have been better prepared. My mom was with us and there is NO handicap beach access from condo. Location to public beach was good as long as you know what you are getting.

Cute beach condo close to everything !

Loved the condo! The only thing I would recommend is better pillows in the master bedroom and beach towels to use on the beach!

Nice getaway

We truly enjoyed our stay at Shipwatch 109. Everything was just as described. The place was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The beds slept well. The headboard on the king bed did squeak some, if that could be remedied. Washer and dryer worked well. We stayed mid September. It wasn’t crowded at all! Pool area was nice and we only saw a few people there during our stay. The walk to the beach was pretty long, but there was a very nice boardwalk, then a sandy path the rest of the way. The only drawback here for us was the lack of any beach or ocean views and distance to the beach. The listing clearly stated this though, so I was expecting it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
