The Hollies | Winterton Cottages

The Hollies has the same owner as Tremeer, and has been recently renovated to the same high standard. Situated in a quiet residential area, The Hollies offers comfortable accommodation for two couples or a family all year round.

You enter the property via a side door, with a small entrance hall which has a shower room leading off it. The large open plan living area has a corner sofa, TV, kitchen area and sunny dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with an island and four bar stools, an electric hob and oven, 3/4 size dishwasher, washing machine and an under counter fridge with an ice compartment.

At the rear of the property are two good size bedrooms, each with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. There are patio doors leading from both of the bedrooms out to the back garden which is paved and fully enclosed.

At the front there is a lovely enclosed decking area, and ample parking for two cars on the drive.

The Hollies welcomes up to four dogs free of charge. Dogs are welcome throughout the property and allowed on furniture when throws are used.

Excellent stay at The Hollies

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hollies. As two mature friends to have both bedrooms with en-suites is perfect. All on one level another bonus and the different outdoors space added to our holiday. Great location as quiet but easy access to walks.

Perfect stay.

We had a lovely stay at The Hollies. It was perfect for a dog friendly location and we adored all the dog friendly touches in the house. The house itseld is beautiful and the village has everything you need. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and welcomed after a long drive! We are already hoping to come back again next year!

Happy Hollies

We had a wonderful stay at the Hollies well equipped and very comfortable. Lots of space for the dogs too. The location was great for the beach and all the surrounding areas. A mirror over the chest of drawers so you dry your hair would be very helpful and a tea pot that doesnā€™t drip tea all over the worktops. Please donā€™t take these as criticisms just we hope helpful suggestions.

Lovely property in a great location

Lovely bungalow - clean, spacious and light inside due to the large windows. Comfy beds and a nice welcome basket. Great outside seating options for warmer weather and the automatic outside lighting is a nice touch as the nights draw in. Walking distance to the centre of Winterton and the beach. Speedy response from the owners when I text to let them know we had arrived. I will definitely book The Hollies again

Repeat visit to the Hollies - and it was just as good!!!

As dog owners we were more than happy to return to the Hollies and Winterton with our friends. The welcome pack was much appreciated by humans and canines alike. We find the bungalow very comfortable and there is little to add to Steveā€™s review from last year except to say I am sure we will all try and come again next year if circumstances permit! Thank you!

Another brilliant stay at The Hollies...!!

We love Winterton and have visited 3 times this year so far. We stayed at The Hollies in May and loved it so much we booked to stay again in July! The property is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The welcome pack is lovely - even treats for our spaniel Dave. Great to have two dog secure gardens and parking. So easy to get to the pub, tea rooms, beach etc so we park up and do not use the car for the whole time we are there. Beds are comfy, 3 bathrooms, 3 TV's, kitchen has everything you need - why stay anywhere else??

Great place

What a fantastic find The Hollies was! We've visited Winterton countless times, but this was our first stay here, and hopefully won't be our last. The bungalow was immaculate, comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need. Its single-level layout, spacious rooms, and three bathrooms (two of them en-suite) were absolutely perfect for my senior parents. We loved the back garden ā€“ it was a perfect sun trap for enjoying an afternoon or evening drink. The location was also ideal, with the shop, pub, and fish and chip shop all within easy walking distance. We'd love to return!

The Hollies is terrifically located in a quiet turning within 5 minute walk of a long stretch of sandy, dog friendly beach and village amenities. Local cafe and pub both wonderful, laid back, friendly, also pets welcome and great food. Accommodation, we loved it, modern, well appointed, spotlessly clean. The kitchen really had everything we needed to make full meals and to keep our dogs comfortable. Lovely welcome basket on arrival, comfortable beds and 3 bathrooms for use which was really practical

Sun, sea and a chilled out break

We had a great few days, just what we needed. A fantastic property, modern, clean and everything both the dogs and we needed. Great idea having an ensuite in each room and a TV. Everyone we met in the village were so friendly, recommend Poppy's for lunch and cakes. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture, we arrived early and were grateful to get a message saying we could gwt in. A five star experience and will definitely go again.

The Hollies - Fabulous

We had a great holiday, the property was spotless and very comfortable, and nice to have a welcome pack with treats for the dogs as well. It was more spacious than it looked in the photos. We loved having 2 en-suites as we are single friends and like our own space indoors. it felt like a home not a holiday let.. good position close to the beach and eating places, would love to come back next year

Lovely bungalow

Lovely bungalow with very comfortable beds. Clean apart from cobwebs and spider on one of the en-suite bathroom windows. The directions given to the beach in the welcome book is not the shortest route, which we found out by a local a much quicker way which was better for our senior dogs. A higher fence at the back would have been better as we couldnā€™t sit in the back garden much due to people and vehicles at the back. We did enjoy our stay and really appreciated the welcome pack.

A great dog friendly and secure property

We had a great time at The Hollies - the weather was perfect , which certainly helps! We were spoilt with 3 TV's and 3 bathrooms, and two totally dog secure gardens! Much bigger property than we expected and great to have a dishwasher, washing machine and dog wash!! Very comfortable, clean property, comfy beds and lovely and quiet. Centrally located with lovely walks, tea room, pub and beach cafe just a short walk away. We walked along the beach to Hemsby - great walk, but Hemsby not so great ....... best to stay in Winterton. We visited Poppylands tea room - also another great find. This is our second visit to Winterton in 6 weeks and we will certainly be back again soon.

Gorgeous bungalow in beautiful location

Iā€™ve stayed at The Hiolllies before and come to the beautiful village several times a year. But yet I still walked in and got the wow factor, the open plan is lovely, the decor is modern and classy. We had the most wonderful welcome pack too. We had the choice of sitting out the front or the back garden in the sun, mainly opting for the front as itā€™s a little sun trap. Beds were very comfortable , we slept like logs, and we felt super spoilt have 3 tvs, and 3 bathrooms! The only minor pain point was sitting to watch a film in the evening, with 4 fully grown adults , the sofa was quite cosy. But overall absolutely wonderful cottage, and we all agreed we will definitely be back!

Perfect coastal break.

Fantastic house in a quiet location - but walkable to beach and pub. The house itself was spotless and ideally suited to 2 friends - with room for us to have our own space when needed. Enclosed terrace at the back - bedrooms open directly onto this - great for the dog - also had a hose connected for washing him down after walk. I would say from the dog's perspective this was the only negative! Great support from the office when we contacted them. Not related to the property but EV charging was slightly tricky. Not a bit deal at all, but ability to connect car at the property would be a great addition The dog friendly beach is beautiful and just a 10 min walk away. I'd absolutely return here - perfect for what we needed.
