The Crested Butte Love Shack - Experience a piece of Crested Butte, Colorado history by staying in an old miner's cabin, one of the original Crested Butte structures dating back to the mining era of the 1890's. The Cabin has been thoughtfully updated with the latest comforts and technology but still has all the charm and flavor of the old West. And the location absolutely can't be beat.

Just steps from historic Elk Avenue, the Cabin location is ideal. Shopping, dining, recreation trails, and the mountain (ski) shuttle bus are close by. The view of Mount Crested Butte from the Cabin is inspirational. Winter cross-county trails and summer wildflower hikes start a block from the front door.

This cozy, open-concept Cabin, filled with light and character, is the perfect getaway for a couple. It features a fully outfitted kitchen, one bathroom, and a comfy queen bed on the main level. The exterior has a fenced-in yard with seating areas (including a funky artistic bench made out of old skis), a propane grill and a locked shed to house any skis/bikes/gear you bring with you. There is also a convenient 2-car driveway to avoid the downtown parking permit/time limit hassles.

If you are looking for history mixed with the latest technology (including security enabled high-speed wireless internet, smartTV, Bluetooth speaker, and a high efficiency full-sized washer/dryer), you will find it here. This intimate, comfortable Cabin proves that great vacations and memories can come in small packages...

This non-traditional Cabin is perfect for the young-at-heart! It is located on First Street in Crested Butte, Colorado (just off of Elk Ave) - a fantastic location. Well behaved pets are very welcome.

Very pet and adult friendly accommodations. Though very centrally located, the house and surroundings were very quiet! We especially appreciated the generous parking spot adjacent to the house. Our only critique is the bathroom. The bathroom always remained a bit chillier than the rest of the house.

Perfect location

The Love Shack is at the perfect location to enjoy Crested Butte. At the end of Elk with all the restaurants, bars and shops laid out in front of you. The small fenced yard allowed us to let our dog out for a quick break if she wasn’t with us on the town. The Love Shack is small, but comfortable and the location just can’t be beat.

Outstanding Fall getaway at the Loveshack! This quaint cute cabin was perfect!

The property worked great for us. Hiking all day in the fall colors and returning to the Loveshack for a restful evening was the perfect balance. Great location for local evening walks around town and on the Woods Trail.

The cabin was just as described. It is conveniently located near downtown Crested Butte, clean, cozy, comfortable & well stocked. The owners were accommodating & very easy to communicate with, responding to questions right away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Love Shack!

Perfect location

Cabin was clean, well equipped and located right in town. Walk to restaurants & shops right out the door. The listing and pics are accurate. I really enjoyed the securely fenced yard for my pups. Definitely recommend!

Love Shack Stay in Crested Butte

My husband and I loved the LOVESHACK for our stay in CB. I grew up in CB and came back for a dear friend's 75th birthday party and for the 4th of July. The LOVESHACK was perfect for our needs and centrally located, which made getting to all the festivities and restaurants and the birthday party easy peasy. Thanks for the great hospitality!!!

Perfect location!

This darling cabin is perfect for two people who want to drop their gear and go. It was super clean with all you need supplied. The small private yard with patio table and grill was perfect for an evening dinner and place to unwind. The very best thing about this place is its location. It is literally about 20 steps from Elk Street, CB’s charming downtown. We will be back!

In-Town Gem

Fun Fun Fun. Perfect location to enjoy access to the town of Crested Butte. Great way to enjoy and get a feel for how CB rolls. Its small but has everything you need. The back deck is nice for a glass of wine or morning coffee. And getting in and out of town is easy and convient! Go explore and get your "Love Shack" on!!

Love Shack

Excellent location and cute inside. The bedding in the loft is not comfortable for adults. The owners are very gracious and are willing to move the futon mattress up to the loft if you so wish. We slept in the loft the first night, the following two days my hip bothered me. The remaining nights we slept downstairs on the futon which was much more comfortable. The location can't be beat.

Great little place in the heart of downtown CB

Clean, cozy house. My only suggestion would be to include a small standing fan in the loft during the summer months. Since there is no AC, it can take a long time before the upstairs cools down- can make getting to sleep difficult. Should be easily remedied with a small fan in the loft. Beautiful bathroom too!

So Cute and Close to Everything

This is such a cute and cozy little cabin/house. It was great for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. We absolutely loved the backyard, such a wonderful place to relax and let the dogs be free to rest or watch the people walking by. We chose to use the futon instead of the loft, which was perfect. We were not sure we would want to tackle the ladder in the middle of the night. There is a new grill in the backyard and the kitchen has everything you could need. Main Street (Elk St) is two steps away which has wonderful restaurants and shops. There are many hiking trails also just steps away from the cabin. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a relaxing, comfortable getaway. It is also a great location for pet owners.

Great Location

We loved staying at the Love Shack. It is very accessible to Elk Street which is a huge plus. We've stayed in several locations in town and this one is probably the best located for our interests which center around food, hiking and just milling around.

Welcome to the magical land that is Crested Butte. We're glad you found us. Both Sheryl and Trevor have a long history with this wonderful town...separately finding our way here sometime around 1993 from New Hampshire and Vermont, respectively. Although we were both ski/snowboard bums around the same time, we never met until we were both daily-grind career types in Boston 7 years later. We shared similar friends in Boston and, low and behold, after our first conversation, we found out we had a lot of the same Crested Butte friends as well. Synchronicity. If you believe in the concept, you'll find it runs heavy here. In 2002, Trevor and Sheryl moved back to Colorado, bought this little cabin and nicknamed it the Love Shack. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
