Better than expected! The stairs are no joke, but people have been climbing them long before us. It’s part of the ancient charm.

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much, despite the hike up the stairs (it was good training for the Duomo climb!) It was very spacious - we are a family of 5, our daughter (21) had her own small room and our two boys (15 and 18) were fine sharing the 3rd bedroom. 2 bathrooms was very handy, the kitchen was great, and the living room was large and comfortable. And the AC was strong! A very welcome feature.The location was also excellent, 10 minute walk to the Duomo, and plenty of places to eat and drink and explore right nearby. And, amazingly, right across the street from a bus stop (the #23) that goes right to the tram (T2) that goes right to the airport. Took us about 40min and cost 1.50 each.We definitely recommend staying here!

Absolutely PERFECT location in the heart of Florence! Central to everything and the entire city is walkable. The hosts were very attentive and available to any questions or needs we had. The unit itself is cozy, clean and perfect for family and friends of any age. Be prepared to walk! The unit is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator so the flights of stairs are daunting at first but you get used to it, especially with the amount of walking you will do in this beautiful city! Highly recommended!!

We stayed from April 5 to April 9 and found what appeared to be bed bugs in one of the bedrooms after the first night, which we reported to the host. We were informed they needed time to inspect and confirm the issue, and confirmation was not provided until the late afternoon on Apr7. With tours already booked outside of Florence on April 6 and 7, leaving before 8am and returning after 9pm, it was impossible to relocate, and realistically we couldn’t move until the morning of the 8th. Initially, we were offered a refund for the unused nights if we left, which would only now cover the final night while still requiring us to find a new place last minute and risk bringing bed bugs with us. We were then offered 20% back for the impacted days, followed by a revised offer of 30% for the entire stay. Based on this, we decided to remain for the final night. After we completed our stay, we were then told that 30% would only apply to 3 nights.Overall, the situation significantly impacted our trip. My teens ended up sleeping on the sofa despite having paid for proper beds, we all dealt with emotional stress and anxiety about bites and spent time and money running clothes thru the dryer to minimize carrying bed bugs to the next location. Shifting compensation offers by the host made it difficult to feel that the situation was handled in good faith. Additionally, an exterminator was sent to the property on our last night without prior communication, while we were still staying there.

Thank you for your review! We would like to clarify that we were informed about the suspected issue on your very first night, and we went to check the apartment the following morning immediately. Once the issue was verified, we promptly offered you a full refund for the unused nights, so you could relocate to another accommodation without further inconvenience. At that point, the decision to remain in the apartment was made by you. Following this choice, we revised our compensation offer accordingly, as it was no longer a case of cancellation but of continued stay in the property. We are very sorry for the impact this situation had on your trip, but we acted as quickly as possible once informed and provided an immediate solution option.

The property was beautiful however the A/C didn’t work in bedroom 2 and had poor communications with the concierge Also mold was prevalent in the main bathroom Overall enjoyed our stay
