We had a great experience at KipDee cottage! The house has everything you need, including a full kitchen and a ping pong table.We brought a group of 6 adults and had enough room for everyone. You can definitely fit more people in the house, but it might be tough to gather around a table all together. There are lots of seating and lounging options all around the house for group of 2-4.We would definitely stay again! Thanks for a great experience.

Charming house, good for kids

Beautiful, charming property. It was very clean. We loved the front porch. It's about a mile from downtown Sister Bay. We did not realize how far the garage loft was from the rest of the house when we booked, which was awkward for bathroom/shower use. I recommend this property for a single family due to the garage situation and size of tables for dining together. Grill is a blackstone if you are planning a cookout.

5 night Family Getaway

This place was perfect for our group of 7! 2 adults and kids ranging from 15-20. The loft above the garage was perfect for all of the kids to stay. Both the house and the loft were clean, fully stocked and decorated so cute! We used the bikes, kayaks and firepit that were provided. Thereā€™s a lovely lookout point and ice cream shop just steps from the house and downtown Sister Bay is just a few minute drive. We loved just about everything from our stay and will likely be booking here again!

Absolutely perfect!

We love this place! Stayed for a long weekend with our two children (10 & 12), brother and sister-in law. This cottage has everything you need to make you feel like home. You can tell the owners are quite proud and take great care of this property. Bedroom are cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The location is perfect! The Fall colors this time of year were amazing! We enjoyed shopping the towns, bowling at Sister Bay Bowl, exceptional meals at Welckerā€™s Lounge in Fish Creek, Boathouse on the Bay in Sister Bay, Wilsonā€™s in Ephraim and of course Al Johnsonā€™s. Itā€™s a short drive to the Washington Island Ferry and we highly recommend renting a UTV to tour the Island. We are very grateful for the time well spent in Door County and canā€™t wait to return.

Beautiful property

We had a mostly adult holiday but invited daughter w kids to spend one night in loft. It worked out perfectly. We had a great time sightseeing and hanging out at the house. We used the fire pit, ping pong table and bikes.

Our New Home Away From Home!!!

Murphyā€™s KipDee home and gardens were delightful and welcoming. We found it to be very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds in the house are very comfortable. We didnā€™t use the clever bunkhouse annex. We enjoyed reading about the earlier owners. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed! We hope to return !

Great spot for a family vacation. The loft above the garage is great if extra room is needed. We enjoyed being close to Door County Ice Cream Factory and were able to take advantage of the shuttle from the ice cream shop to downtown Sister Bay.

Sister Bay Summer 2024

Very nice, older home. Plenty big for 5 person family. Kids loved the loft above the garage. Parents loved the 4 season back porch. Ice cream shop 100 yards away. Easy access to town. Beautiful yard and lots of sitting/gathering areas. 2 showers and a large kitchen for a home of its age. Ping Pong and games in lower level of finished garage. Really couldn't ask for much more.

A place for memories!

We stayed here for a second time. It is a very pleasant home-away-from home place to stay. We were able to enjoy many activities in Door County, including ice cream, the beach and Wild Tomato pizza in Sister Bay.

Great Girls Weekend Retreat

Great spot for us to celebrate turning 50! Comfortable and well equipped house. Gracious and informative hosts. Door County was just beginning its summer season, but there was plenty to do and see. I hope we get the chance to visit again and we will definitely seek to stay at KipDee Cottage.

Fantastic house and location!

This is such a charming, cozy cottage. We were very pleased with all of the amenities, charm, and location. It was lovely to see the photos on the wall and read stories about the former owners. Can't wait to try this home again in the summer. Location was perfect and really gave you the Door County vibe. Don't forget to check out the holiday store across the street!

Quiet birthday weekend

Celebrated a quiet birthday weekend with the family. Great location, close to everything we wanted to do in the area. Owner was responsive with information in advance and for any questions. Would stay again and look forward to making a family tradition with such great memories!

Great for families!

Lovely home very close to downtown sister bay. We had a lot of young children with us and it was a perfect spot for them. They especially loved playing in the loft and in the beautiful yard.

Charming Door County Cottage

This was an adorable cottage in Sister Bay. The location was great, and it easily slept our group of 7 people. It was nice having the loft space- our kids really enjoyed it. It did get pretty warm in the bedrooms in the main house, even with the doors open and hallway AC unit running. The kitchen had plenty of dishes to use, but no dishwasher, so be prepared to hand wash everything. Overall, we had a lovely stay and recommend this cottage.

July stay at Kipdee

We live around the corner and needed more space for our extended family. The KipDee was perfect! Beautiful yard and adorable, clean cottage and sleeping loft above the garage! Our family said the beds were the most comfortable they have ever slept on! Jon was awesome to work with and we highly recommend!

Amazing stay!

This is a beautiful property with an amazing location in Sister Bay. 3 minute drive to the downtown area. We loved the decor, sitting on the porch and in the sunroom with morning coffee, and getting ice cream down the street. The owners were very easy to communicate with and the check in process was very easy. I would definitely stay here again.

Fall vacation

Location in Sister Bay was nice. We had an overall good experience with the exception of the mattresses. Could be a personal preference on my part, but the master bed was topped with a foam cushion which was uncomfortable.. would also add a dishwasher...having to wash dishes by hand is not ideal..

Weekend Getaway

Hosts were very communicative, property was just outside of town in a quiet area which made for relaxing evenings, cottage was clean, well furnished and very detailed in decor. Everything you would ever need is accessible at the house. Check-in and out process was also extremely easy. Would absolutely recommend if youā€™re in the area.
