Enjoy a well-deserved break by the seaside in the North Yorkshire town of Whitby with your partner or small family. Unwind in this charming fisherman’s cottage from the mid-18th century with original features such as wooden beamed ceilings and handmade wooden doors. Discover the abundance of attractions, spend some time on the beach and dine out at the local seafood restaurants.

Step through the small porch to reach the neutral-toned open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is cosy and comfortable with a quirky sofa and two armchairs where you can relax in front of the feature range and a TV. Behind this is a wooden dining table with seating for four and an ‘L’-shaped kitchen with colourful tiles. The first floor contains a double bedroom and a single bedroom. Climb the cottage-style stairs to reach the second floor which has a bathroom and a twin room.

During your stay in the heart of Whitby, you’ll have an array of cafes, restaurants and bars on your doorstep (within 500 metres). Start your day with a stroll along the River Esk and relax on Whitby Beach (0.5 miles). Take a picnic to Pannett Park (less than 0.5 miles) and explore the local historical landmarks – such as the 199 Steps, the Whalebone Arch and Whitby Abbey (all within 0.5 miles). Kids will love the Dracula Experience (0.5 miles) and Whitby Pavilion (0.5 miles). Delve into the history of the area at Whitby Museum or the Captain Cook Memorial Museum (both within 0.5 miles).
