Private, heated Pool--just opened as of April 23rd 2025! Open until mid October- and year round hot tub, about a mile to downtown Saugatuck. Exciting changes coming in 2023: facelift to interior with new paint, carpeting, and sleeping accommodations for up to 10!

We have a relaxed Cancellation Policy to ease the mindset of booking. We have always had a high standard for cleaning and sanitation. We are following CDC guidelines to ensure guest safety.

It's not everyday you find a sanctuary with its own crest but when you do, it's a clear indication that everything about this contemporary lodge is meant to create a fun and relaxing environment. Lake Trail Lodge (LTL) is the ultimate summer getaway. The only thing missing is great memories waiting to be made.

Tucked in its own enclave of lofty greenery, the dark shake siding exterior is accented with bright coral shutters. Inside, the lodge theme takes off when you first note the vaulted living room and towering stone fireplace. Playful accents depicting homage to woodland creatures contribute to the theme of lightheartedness and welcome.

The kitchen is outfitted with lemon-yellow Viking appliances (and a retro Big Chill fridge), offering enough room for meal preparation, and pocket doors to close off the "mess hall". In the open dining room, the extra long table offers plenty of seating and views of the fire pit and pool, which "wets" the appetite-- not for food, but a dip!

Backyard Oasis

The professionally landscaped, arboretum-like setting will draw and keep you outdoors. Numerous places to lounge throughout the backyard make it easy to find a quiet spot by yourself or to gather with friends & family for bbq, games, and drinks. Enjoy a cool breeze on the screened-in porch, and find yourself around the fire pit in the evening. Be sure to experience the outdoor shower.. and did we mention the pool?!

You can walk down the path off the property to take you to Silver Lake for great views of the Kalamazoo river byways, and enjoy private beach access. Outdoor amenities include: a private basketball hoop with 3/4 court for games of HORSE or 3 on 3, bags game, and 4 adult bicycles for local exploring.

Sleeping

The main floor primary bedroom has a King bed and en-suite bathroom with stand in shower (on demand water heater affords everyone long showers). A Queen pullout Mitchell Gold sofa allows for 2 additional guests in the primary. The screened-in porch also is accessible from the master.
Another first floor bedroom features a number of sleeping options-- a queen bed, plus a Queen-over- Queen bunk bed.
The romantic second floor bedroom boasts a private deck with cafe seating for morning coffee and bird watching, plus an en-suite bathroom, and queen bed. Each bedroom has a flat screen smart TVs.
