If you are planning a family reunion with up to 18 people, Las Palapas is a dream come true! Just completed in 2007, this home is located on a one acre parcel with 200 feet of spectacular ocean frontage in one of the most beautiful coves in Mexico. All 7 bedrooms have baths and tremendous ocean and beach views. Impeccably decorated and comfortably furnished in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Maximum occupancy for meals and entertaining is 20.

There are tons of activities and our staff of four will make sure you have an incredible and memorable time. They will cook 3 meals a day and provide tasty appetizers and drinks. Labor included. Budget $35 per person per day extra for food, beverages, and alcohol. You won't have to lift a finger! The owners rent this home only 10 weeks per year. Please tip $100 USD per night including Sundays, or $700 per week.

Located in Marina Chacala, the cove is very calm for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and boating. You can easily rent a panga (30 foot fiberglass fishing boat with twin outboards ) for half day fishing, whale watching or surfing trips. They can pick you up just down the beach from the house. We now include a candlelit beach dinner once per week for up to 20 people. Please vist LasPalapas dot tv

Perfect vacation

This is our third trip to Las Palapas. Our whole family, kids and grandkids plus friends enjoyed a week of paradise. The kids would be in the pool or swimming in the waves at the beach. We had delicious meals and relaxing sunset cocktails. The staff are the best! Thank you again for a very memorable lovely family vacation!

We could not have asked for anything better!

Wow, what a week! The physical space was perfect for our family of 17 with bedrooms and bathrooms for each group, kitchen facilities and lounging areas galore. The pool is warm, the hot tub is perfect for the kids, their ocean is inviting and serene. But the people...we chose the full service option and were overwhelmed with kindness, caring and service. The food was amazing and endless. This is certainly a listing and location where you can trust that the real product is even better than as advertised! We look forward to when we can return!

Las Palapas

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. The beautiful setting and wonderful amenities made it perfect for our multigenerational family gathering. The shady palapa, the extensive yard, sandy volleyball court, pool, access to beach and ocean toys provided venues/activities everyone in the family. The food and accommodations were also first rate. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful Experience

We were there with family including children. Beautiful property with so much to do including just hanging out by the pool. The food and staff were wonderful! Juan guided several fishing trips and we had great success! Highly recommend it for family or friend gatherings.

The property was great. Access to the ocean was as advertised. The AC could use some upgrades in the Master Bedroom. Otherwise it’s a great venue.

Awesome extended family vacation

The pictures due not due it justice, it’s way nicer!! The staff was absolutely wonderful, and catered to all of our needs and then some. We had one child that is allergic to a lot of foods, and they prepared a special meal for him every time and we never had an issue; which is rare! We will definitely be back!

Underrated

Fantastic experience! Wonderful food, ideal location. Pool, hot tub steps from the rooms. Dine in the house or outside. Pickleball courts a short walk away. Small town just a few minutes walk, but you have all you need on the property. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Beautiful for family gathering

We spent an amazing week celebrating my mom’s 85th birthday. 17 people in our group from age 1 to age 85. This is a beautiful, private location in a gated community. The ocean access allows for exploring tide pools, boogie boards, stand up boards, swimming and kayaking. The pool and hot tub were great, too. Staff was very attentive, friendly and made delicious meals. Our group had a wide variety of food requests and they worked with us through all the allergies and preferences. The house was clean and provided us everything we needed. We would love to come back in the years to come.

Great family trip

Las Palapas was a great time. Would return again.Pros:Beautiful place.Staff were helpful and attentive. Things were cleaned every day and there was a cooler that was always stocked. The pantry and house setup were great- you have 99% of what you need.Pool, beach, volleyball were great, access to equipment was really nice. Cons:Very hot in July (can't fault the place, more of a location note), had some issues with our AC unit for the first few nights.Transportation to/from PV is a bit of a painLogistics of getting payments figured out was a layer of stress. Would be nice to have more explicit instructions/information about how/when you will pay which payments and about the friction involved in getting pesos.Our group got struck with a solid--or not so solid--case traveler's diarrhea after a few days :/Chacala was a neat little town that felt off the beaten path. The place is your oyster and the people were eager to help you realize any adventures. Once our party forgets about the bodily discomforts experienced, I imagine we'll keep this option in mind for future vacations.

Family Dream Trip

Las Palapas exceeded our expectations! As a family of 22 (and 12 were children) there was plenty to do and room for all! The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Meals and appetizers were awesome. They even made sushi with the fish the boys caught that day! The home was clean. The pool is wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the beach even finding some hermit crabs. Overall it was a dream come true vacation! Thank you to all that made our stay full of lasting memories!

Beautiful place to stay, great and private property and amenities. Reliable service. Good was amazing, receptive to discussion. Just make sure to figure out exact check in - no way to leave bags at property early and there is a 1h time difference between airport and location, so when I organized to come a bit earlier (which they were flexible with!) I was an hour early on my estimate. Drivers were nice enough to stick around with out bags

Paradise!

We had a marvelous stay at Las Palapas. It is a beautiful property in a spectacular location. There is a small, private beach right next to the property and a safe area for snorkeling right in front of the house. We were there for our 50th wedding anniversary with our whole family of 13, including 5 children. This fabulous place was perfect for all ages. The kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment were fabulous to have and so easy to use. There are tennis courts and a pickle ball court nearby. Walking from the house in the Chacala Marina area is beautiful. The staff was exceptional -- lovely people and superb cooks. It was the most relaxing vacation we've ever had and we are so grateful to Bert for having created this marvelous place.

Magical

We had dreamed about taking our family (Children, Grandchildren and great grandma - 4 generations) on a vacation for many years, but it always seemed out of reach and the logistics of how and where seemed a bit daunting.Then we found Las Palapas. I had high expectations going there, but had no idea that it would be so magical.The team that looked after us was amazing. Every detail was attended to, and they were so very kind and thoughtful. Meals were spectacular and beautifully served. Dietary restrictions (severe nut allergy) was professionally managed and never even a slight concern. The food was 5 star and some of the best meals I have had while traveling in Mexico. The beach was so fun for the young families to explore and the pool was warm and comfortable, even for the baby. The accommodations are well thought out and there is space for everyone to be together when you want to, or quiet time when you just want to rest.We can't wait to go back in the future!Thanks again, Las Palapas team. You really are what makes the whole adventure unforgettable.

The Most Relaxing Vacation ... Ever

Las Palapas is an oasis and perfect setting for a relaxing vacation with family and dear friends. We were 11 in total, including a 2-year-old. Adult ages ranged from 35 to 73. Having the main house and 2 casitas, each with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, gave us the space to spread out if we needed private time, and community spaces to relax and party. The food was exceptional, and included breakfast, lunch, happy hour with drinks and appetizers, and dinner. Having the cleaning services every day, also made it more like a spa. Juan was available the entire time to drive us around, including to Sayulita and the airport, as well as taking us on his boat for snorkeling. All agreed that Las Palapas will be our go-to place in Mexico!

Beautiful beachfront vacation

Las Palapas was an amazing home with helpful kind staff. Photos of the property looked great, but it is even better in person. Wonderful private spaces for sleeping and great large places to gather and to eat together. We had dinner in town one evening, but all other meals were prepared by Sandra and the rest of the staff--food was always delicious--better than eating out. The staff kept the house spotless. Nidia, the house manager was always ready to help and answer any questions. We did two boat trips with Juan, seeing humpback whales one day (amazing!!) and snorkeling another day which was also great. Transportation to/from the airport, arranged through Juan was easy. Chacala is at least 1 1/2 hours from Puerto Vallarta airport. It is a tiny town, so no night life or shopping--however, Las Palapas has all you need. The food, house and property, beach, swimming pool and hot tub were all great. Everyone in our group had wonderful time. Amazing indoor/outdoor living. As long as you don't need the hustle and bustle of town, you will love this place!

This is a shot of my favorite thing to do ! Surf ! Linda and I love Las Palapas! It is such a gorgeous cove. When not there we live in Northern California between San Francisco and San Jose in a small town called Ladera which is right next to Stanford University. Linda spends a lot of time raising money for the local high school and tutoring English. I spend my time investing and surfing. PS this surf shot is not Mexico, but certainly could be.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Chacala is a really special spot. The cove of Chacalilla is so beautiful. There is fantastic surfing near by. I kept passing it by boat and thought if I owned a home here I would be home already ! I also really wanted to build a home with lots of palapa roofs. Our brother in law did a fantastic job with the architecture and the home is really livable. We designed it with family reunions in mind.
