Tangled up in Blue is a recently built superior quality home nestled directly on Windward Beach, Treasure Cay, Bahamas. Here is the adventure you have been waiting for! Soak in the the pristine sands and crystal turquoise ocean! You will find our open floor plan spacious and comfortable for enjoying time with your family.

Our Villa is uniquely and comfortably furnished both indoors and out complete with excellent wifi. All linens, towels, and kitchen ware is provided (including a Keurig, Cuisinart coffee machine, and coffee bean grinder). It is air conditioned and also has ceiling fans in each bedroom.

The view is excellent from every room in the home including all four bedrooms. Each bedroom has in-suite private bath. The outer two bedrooms have private entrance from the deck area while the two inner bedrooms have private entrance from the common area.

A place to call home in the Bahamas!

“Tangled up in Blue” gave us a place to make wonderful memories during our stay in the Abacos. The well designed spaces provided all the comforts of home as we returned each day from our adventures on the sea!

Wonderful stay in Treasure Cay

We were two families staying together at Tangled Up in Blue. We really enjoyed the location with such a great little private beach and some fantastic sunrises. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Alisa and the house manager, Abby, were fantastic with quick responses to questions and such. Thank you for sharing such a great home with us in the friendly and beautiful community of Windward Beach and Treasure Cay.

Wonderful accommodations

Unfortunately we were not able to make the trip due to bad weather. However we have stayed at this house previously and wanted to share how amazing everything is about the property and the communications with the owner. We can’t wait to plan our next trip to Treasure Cay and stay at the “Live in Style by the Sea” house!

Yearly Vacation Spot

It's so good to see the house rebuilt. The new layout is very nice. The back deck is still the best spot to be. The views are as good as ever. We definitely missed Treasure Cay.

Tangled in Blue

A perfect vacation rental for 4 couples - each bedroom with ensuite bathrooms and separate air conditioning and a wonderful gathering spot for all in the kitchen and living room. We were delighted to walk directly onto the deck only to see our own beach with epic views.

Perfection

Beautiful house, best beach, everything you need. Easy and fast communication, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The island itself still shows the devastation from the 2019 hurricane, but is beautiful and lush with vegetation. Roadways aren’t the best, there are electricity blackouts 1-2 times/day but who cares when you’re laying on the beach or kayaking or watching the dolphins right out your back door!

Stunning beach home with amazing views!

We were so excited to come back and stay in this amazing property. They have everything you could need for your trip! The beds and linens are top notch, along with every detail and amenity in this home. The views at the home are simply stunning! The outer 2 bedrooms are not accessible from the common area, so just keep that in mind if travelling with younger kiddos!

Weekend Get-a-way

This place was absolutely amazing. Most of the time people will doctor pictures to make a place look better than it really is. I can honestly say photos don't do this place justice. Absolutely amazing!! Peaceful, quiet, clean, and just makes you feel like you're in another world. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Beautiful Home and magical sunrises!!

Alisa is absolutely wonderful. She responded quickly to questions, helped us find local treasures and connected us with fantastic things to do and see.Tangled Up in Blue is perfectly suited for families or friends...each have private quarters with lovely bathroom to escape when needed and shared living space and kitchen were huge to accommodate togetherness. We hope to return ASAP!

Fantastic views!

We have been traveling to Treasure Cay for 15yrs and this was by far one of the most amazing places we’ve stayed! The location right on the water with private beach was perfection!! The home is completely renovated and was perfect for our 4 couples - everyone had their own comfortable bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Home had everything we needed and close to grocery store and “Flo’s” for bkft & lunch. The owner Alisa & property Mgr Abby were very helpful and quick with communication on any questions we had. Highly recommend you enjoy a stay at Tangled Up in Blue!

Beautiful, Private, Quiet Home

We really enjoyed staying at "Tangled Up In Blue" for a girlfriend's 60th birthday week. The view is just gorgeous, the home is exactly as shown in the photos, and very well laid out, especially for groups. The homeowner was extremely helpful with suggestions and requests and was very communicative. I think she provided the best communication of any host we have rented from (and there have been many!). We would love to go back if we ever have the chance. I highly recommend "Tangled Up In Blue"!

Stunning beach house and views.

This home is gorgeous! The living space is beautifully furnished and well designed. The beach is steps away from the lovely deck. The online photos are nice but you can’t appreciate the beauty of this ocean front property until you see it in person. Alisa was extremely helpful and responded promptly to all our questions. We loved renting a boat and exploring some the other islands but the best days were spent simply relaxing on our own private beach all Tangled Up in Blue. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home and Spectacular Beach

This was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at in Treasure Cay. The home was spacious yet cozy. Before we arrived, I was a bit concerned about the beach since it was on Windward Beach (not the main Casuarina Beach) and thought it might be rocky, but boy, was I wrong! The beach was absolutely magnificent. There’s something really special about being to open the back door and take 10 steps to the sand. The sand was clean, soft, and absolutely gorgeous. What a special place! They even had fresh flowers on the dining room table and kitchen counter to greet us as we arrived. Looking forward to staying there again soon. Stunning villa, with the ocean as a back yard. One of the most incredible places I've ever stayed.

We stayed at Villa Sunrise Vista (My husband and two children and I) and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The interior is beautiful, well laid out, and furnished very well. Every room in the house has a stunning view of the ocean (which is quite literally just a few steps from the back deck), and each bedroom has it's own entrance to the deck area. Our kids loved being able to play in the sand while we sat on the deck or grilled out. The home and beach are very private (we only saw 2 people walk by during our entire stay) which we loved, but it's still very close to the grocery, marina, beach bar, etc. We can't wait to come back and are already trying to plan our next visit!

Bahamian paradise

From the moment we opened the door we could see the turquoise ocean from every window. This property is perfectly situated with a feeling of privacy right on the ocean! Having the 4 master bedrooms with ensuites w centered around a communal living area worked perfectly for our group of friends. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of extras like spices and condiments available and the beds super comfortable. Decor was funky and the entire home felt intimate and just right! One of the best parts was the incredible support from the owner. She provided a detailed list of people from drivers to a private chef, boat captains and more that helped us enjoy the most incredible experience Every recommendation was spot on and we had an amazing time. Walking the powdered beaches, enjoying the fresh catch and relaxing with our friends. I highly recommend this island and its friendly people and this property in particular. A slice of heaven for sure!!

Christmas stay in Treasure Cay

My family and I stayed here for a week over the Christmas holiday and had a wonderful time. We loved having the ocean and private beach steps from the back door. The house is stocked with everything you need, the beds/linens are comfortable, and location is perfect. I can’t say enough good things about the owner Alisa and property manager Abby! Alisa was always quick to respond to my many questions during the planning process and during our stay. She even accommodated my 12 year old son with an extra bed/room for our stay. There were a few hiccups during our stay (i.e., washer/dryer and oven went out). Abby picked up and returned our laundry any time we requested and Alisa arranged and paid for our party to have dinner at the Bahama Beach Club to compensate. We had a private chef come on our last night who was recommended by Alisa and she was excellent! If you ever stay in Treasure Cay I highly recommend using Saleah Bethel. We can’t wait to return to Treasure Cay and this property!

Beautiful Oasis. Total Paradise

We had an Awesome Family Vacation.. all kids grown and out of college. Loved the sunrises and sunsets . Beach playing, snorkeling and kayaking right off our living room. Layout is a little different, but it worked for us because we have 21-26 year olds that didn’t mind the exterior rooms. Just stunk when it was raining a few times. Kitchen is stocked for all cooking needs. Beds are a little hard for our preference but we are used to fluffier pillow tops. So we struggled with that a little bit. Great communication with owner. Always had a quick response.. no real issues. Small bit of a musty smell in the great room. Owner said she’d look into it. Things are building back up in Treasure Cay , but not a lot of options for food unless u boat out or go to Bahama beach club. Bring as much food as you can or get food delivered from several local “homes” still cooking post hurricane. All very pricy. As long as you budget for it it’s fine. The food we had delivered was all good . Convenience store is more expensive than in Marsh Harbour. Plan accordingly. Would def visit again ! Aussie neighbors are Fantastic and showed us where to snorkel .

Thank you for your stay in our home by the sea. I feel blessed to have experienced the raw beauty of such an untouched spot in this life and it is wonderful to have guest share their experience of the same. Upon receiving your communication concerning the odor in the great room I contacted the previous guest, my housekeeper, and my property manager to make sure it is taken care of. Hello, we are Brent Bigham and Alisa Bigham. Brent lives in the mountains of Georgia and Alisa lives in Chattanooga, Tn. We have three children. Emily, the oldest, lives with her husband, Dirk, & our grandchildren, Jane and Roland , in Chattanooga, TN. Our second child, Seth, and his wife, Katy live in Augusta while Katy is attending Dental School. Our youngest son, Sam attends UTC working on a communication degree. We bought our first Villa in 2000 because since our first visit in the early 80's, we had been dreaming about owning a place for our family to gather and make memories. We have been blessed to enjoy the Abacos with family and friends over the years.

Our first visit to Abaco was in 1985. We were introduced to Treasure Cay by friends and were mesmerized by the beauty. After our experience we visited other beaches but none were quite the same as Abaco. We found we had to return to Abaco again and again as no other beach would satisfy our longing for time spent by the sea as the sea of Abaco.

We became villa owners in 2000 in the Beach Villa community, and in 2017 we purchased another home in Treasure Cay. This home was purchased as a renovation project, was completed in late 2018. September 1, 2019 hurricane Dorian destroyed out home. We started rebuilding in September 2021, planning completion in May 2022.

These are the things we love about our island home and experience:

• The peace and stillness found in the slower paced life
• The rhythm of the sea
• Finding shells and sea glass
• Spotting dolphin, sea turtles, or rays
• Time spent reading by the sea
• Having the space and time to reconnect with family and friends
• Spending a day on a boat snorkeling, fishing, shelling, and visiting
neighboring islands
• Island food: Conch fritters, fresh fish cooked to perfection, conch
salad, lobster salad, and sweet bananas
• Pizza night
• Cinnamon rolls from Florence’s café
• So much of this island life stays the same through the years

Treasure Cay is the place to make memories and reconnect with each other.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love the community of Treasure Cay; it still carries the traits of another time and age. Close community, quiet beaches, and friendly folk fill the Islands. You can also live a world of adventure: scuba diving, boating, sailing, exploring. Our property is directly on the beach; thus, sometimes the most needed adventure is simply a good book on the deck. Raw living by the sea at it's finest.
