Our tropical vibe beach-style cottage is located in the quiet Shady Banks neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale located 5 minutes from downtown and only 4.5 miles from the beach. Enjoy your own tropical garden. The cottage is located in our backyard and completely independent of the main house. Parking, Full kitchen. Full size Murphy bed with memory foam mattress in living room, Smart TV's in living room and bedroom. Cable-TV, Wi-Fi, HBO, Netflix, etc. USB chargers in receptacle bedside in bedroom, 10 minutes from Port Everglades, a cruise ship destination. Enjoy barbecuing in your own private courtyard with covered awning and outside table and chairs for a relaxing morning coffee or dining al fresco. Cozy Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo Cottage. The owners are on property and very friendly and helpful, the neighborhood is quiet and perfect for walking the dog and the cottage is cozy and equipped with everything we needed to feel like we were in a home away from home. We especially enjoyed the private patio out back with a grill.

Wonderful Visit

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo Cottage in Shady Banks! The cottage was very comfortable, nicely furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a home away from home (including private back patio with a grill where we loved to sit outside to eat dinner). The owners are very helpful and welcoming, and the neighborhood is perfect for long walks with the dog.

Everything we needed in a neat little cottage. We stayed for 2 weeks while waiting to move into our new home and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

The Hosts thought of everything!

We were here for 5 nights over the Christmas holiday with our 2 dogs. It was decorated for Christmas. The property is well represented on the HomeAway site. The cottage was clean. It was extremely well stocked with kitchen and bath items. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom had a sliding door to separate it from the main living area. Everything is new and the appliances are high end. Even the outdoor gas grill was new. Speaking of outdoor, the small courtyard in the back out the bedroom french doors was great for our 2 dogs to get some fresh air but we did have to supervise them while they were out to make sure they didn't escape via the temporary side fence. We used some of the fresh herbs growing outside in our meals we prepared. I liked that there were 2 televisions - husband got to watch his football and I got to watch my movies and Netflix. The hosts were extremely attentive and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and knew where everything was and how to use it. Their back door was only steps away from the Bamboo Cottages front door. They have beach towels, chairs, umbrella, etc. available for you to take to the beach which is nice. The location is convenient and in a 1950's neighborhood of similar, mostly well kept homes. There is a public park about a block away that was a nice walk with the dogs. Thank you for being wonderful hosts, Rosemarie and Rob.

Quiet Cottage

it's a drive to the beach but in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. for us, the bed was toooo soft, but I understand some people prefect that. the cottage is small so actually fitting four people comfortably would be a challenge. Great hosts, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful!

Rosemarie has thought of everything. We really loved staying in her clean and very organized cottage. The neighborhood was very peaceful -- just how we like it. Rosemarie was available whenever we needed her. You can't go wrong staying in her cottage. We hope to return soon!

Great Little Cottage

This cottage was perfect. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with a park and nature preserve within walking distance. The cottage itself was immaculate with updated amenities. The bed was comfortable and we slept well starting the first night, always a plus! The hosts thought of everything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Rosemarie and Rob, for a wonderful stay.

Five star stay

The property is just as it appears in the pictures, clean comfortable with new appliances and everything you need for your stay. Thank you Rose Marie and Rob our experience was everything we had hoped for. Rob and Rosemarie were attentive but not intrusive. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, set back from the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale. You will need a car, And parking is Convenient. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!

The Big Little Cottage

Recently spent a week at this property without any disappointments. The utilization of 432sq feet was remarkable, the space had a good "flow" to it, everything was as seen online, perhaps even better. Cottage immaculately clean along with quality comfort of the bed, linens & towels. Hosts Rosemary & Ron are total delights and extremely responsive to any inquiries that may have arisen. Neighborhood is very close to I-95, however no noise can be heard and the entire neighborhood is very quiet & has a safe feeling to it day or night as I walked my dog. I absolutely would stay here again!!

What an Amazing Stay at the Bamboo Cottage

This was our first time using VRBO/HomeAway and what a great experience it was. We were late in our planning of a winter getaway but were fortunate enough to come across the Bamboo Cottage and even more fortunate that there was availability for our dates. We arrived on December 30th and were greeted by our hosts, Rob and Rosemarie. They provided us with a full tour of the property and it's many amenities. Everything we would ever need during our duration was made available to us from a fully equipped kitchen to beach chairs. The cottage was super clean and tastefully decorated with ample space for our luggage and our many purchases. The back courtyard with BBQ was a great space for our morning coffee and outdoor dining experiences. The property is centrally located with easy access to airport, shopping, beach, nightlife, restaurants, etc. and is located in a quiet, friendly and safe community. Access to laundry facilities was a plus. Rob and Rosemarie were very respectful of our space but were available for any of our needs and questions. It was a pleasure interacting and getting to know both of them and we hope to see them again in the future.

We had a wonderful week in a great cottage. It was actually as seen, very comfortable, very well stocked including coffee. The owners were very friendly and a great couple. They went out of their way to make sure everything was good.
