However, it was not clean at all. The amount of money we pay for a cleaning fee was NOT put to good use for this rental.

Lake Michigan family vacation

This is a beautiful home that has been well maintained. Excellent location to Lake Michigan! Beds were very comfortable, great showers, well stocked kitchen. Overall an amazing place for a family reunion. Highly recommend.

Family Yearly Get-together

The property was beautiful and we all very comfortably fit in! the accessibility to the beach was amazing and the amenities were superb. We all enjoyed the pool. I'm looking forward to a future stay!

The house was great just wished if instead of a queen bed there was a king bed would prefer not having bunkbeds as we are older and really can’t sleep on the top bunk house very clean great location hope to come back next year

This home easily accommodated all of our needs. We cooked nearly all of our meals at home. Close to the beach, pool and coffee shop. This is our 2nd year at this community and hopefully will book this property again next year.

One tiny little annoyance were the uninvited guests (ants) that kept showing up in the kitchen no matter how carefully we cleaned and kept food put away.

Our weather did not cooperate most of our stay but that didn't stop us from having an amazing time. The proximity to the beach could not have been better, especially with 7 little kids. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. We hope to come back in the future and would 100% rent Sons of Beaches again.

You Make it TOO Easy

The accommodations have sometimes been flawed via our selection of rentals, but the staff and surrounding environment always made up for it. Our annual Cousin Camp experience could not have a better environment. We will continue our annual trek to this great family oriented resort as long as possible. Great place, great people and a wonderful place to build memories.

Family Vaca 2023

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time! This was a great location for our family of 13 to stay from ages 3yrs to 80 yrs. It was directly across from the entrance to the beach which made it so nice for all ages. We had enough space that everyone was comfortable and could have time together or time to themselves if desired. The front porch was one of our favorite spots to sit and drink our morning coffee. The kitchen/dining areas were a great space for all of us to eat together and the island was perfect for laying out the meals. The amenities of the resort were fantastic and very well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and courteous at every interaction. We had a few concerns that we shared with property management: the cleanliness when we arrived, broken towel racks, batteries needing replaced in smoke alarms and alarm system, and all the beds were very uncomfortable and felt like boards. They responded quickly with updating all alarms, apologized for the cleanliness and offered to send someone right away. The towel racks no one came to fix but we made due and we had no expectations of replacing mattresses that was more for awareness to hopefully help the next guests be more comfortable. We would 100% stay here again without a doubt!

Location: You can't beat the location - the house was equal distance from the lake and the community pool/amenities area. The Beachwalk community this sits in, is amazing. It has such a little quaint beach town feel. The neighborhood was quiet and respectfful.Space: So much space between the bedrooms and communal areas in the house and on the porches and outdoor deck. The kitchen is huge and great for our party to gather around mealtime and feed our 6 kids under 5! Cleanliness: This could have used some improvement. There was 1/2" of dust caked on all the ceiling fan blades so when you turned it on, the dust balls just rained down on you all night and several of us has stuffed noses, likely from the amount of dust. The carpet is also pretty gross and should either be professionally cleaned at some point or replaced. Amenties: The Beachwalk community was a nice addition for our famillies and kids. We really only used the pool and the private beach area on Lake Kai. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and sitting in the pool, you'd occassionally get a whiff of the nasty sewage smell but it was fine for our group of little kids who love being the water. It did get pretty crowded on the holiday weekend so I'd advise going early if you have a big group. Supplies: We had to request paper towels, a dish sponge and hand towels as there were none in the kitchen. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking supplies but should probably be organized and cleaned out.

Pics showed a door off patio- that was to the locked garage. Entrance was around house back. Mom and 3 small children had long way to their quarters, with more stairs.
