Families and groups of up to eight guests will love the options afforded by this home's unbeatable location. You'll be just two miles from Shaver Lake Village for eclectic dining and shopping, four miles from the Shaver Lake Marina for boat rentals and daily lake tours, and 21 miles from China Peak Mountain Resort for snow sports and summer trails.

Nestled in Ockenden Ranch, an exclusive subdivision on the south side of Shaver Lake, this three-bedroom cottage features all the modern essentials to keep everyone in your group comfortable. Enjoy three DVD-equipped flatscreen TVs, a charcoal grill for summertime barbecues, a rock fireplace for warmth on cold days, a pool table for group tournaments, and a well-equipped kitchen with updated appliances to make home cooking a breeze.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the New England cottage / cabin @ Shaver Lake. The home was clean & spacious & very comfortable! We really loved the big picture windows in the main living area, as well as the pool table upstairs & the wonderful rock fireplace! It was a quiet & peaceful & restful getaway, exactly what we needed! Thank you!!

This home had three full bathrooms providing plenty of space and comfort. The kids enjoyed the loft and pool table. The family room has large windows to enjoy the beautiful trees surrounding the property.

Our stay at the New England Cottage

Everything was more then we expected. It's was our first cabin rental and it was a great experience. Every room was very clean upon our arrival. We would definitely stay again. Thank you to the owner for an experience we'll remember forever!

Shaver cabin

Loved the cabin it was in a perfect location just 5 mins from the town. The cabin is huge with a bathroom in every bedroom which is very nice. The dryer does not work and the propane was out but they did bring us some propane right away but it will be perfect if the dryer worked. It also needs a can opener I didnā€™t bring one thinking it would have all of that but over all loved the place. Also the fireplace was nice and the views were amazing I will definitely be back.

Peaceful Forest View

The home was wonderful, comfortable and spacious. Each of the 3 bedrooms has it's own en-suite bathroom. We enjoyed the view looking into the forest and watching the stars at night on the deck. We walked Quail Ridge Trail nearby and took our Subaru up to Dinkey Lakes Trailhead and walked up to Mystery Lake. Beautiful!

Close to town and the lake, beds were all hard which was hard to get comfortable at night. Does not have AC causing the windows to sweat and making the house very warm. Other than that great trip and memories.

Great Home - Majestic Views - Been Here Before and will Be Back Again

The giant windows in the living room are dramatic and luxurious. Beds were comfortable. Carpets and living room furniture are starting to show their age but not bad. Kitchen is adequate but some of the pots and pans are also well used. Shower drains were just a little slow in two of the three. Overall a fantastic place.

Enjoyed

We have been going to Shaver Lake for the past 10yrs. we have yet to stay in the same cabin twice. When we left, we all agreed this will be the first cabin that we will be back to. Even though the kitchen floor was dirty, it can be over seen. the beautiful big windows and the fresh outdoor deck, playing pool in the evenings, relaxing, enjoyable and fun. We will be back to this one.

Absolutely Perfect Getaway ā€“ Canā€™t Wait to Return!

We recently stayed 6 nights and 7 days at the Cozy Mountain Home in Shaver and truly didnā€™t want to leave. This home was absolutely beautifulā€”spotless, spacious, and full of charm. The stunning mountain views alone are worth the trip!The layout was perfect for our family, with every bedroom having its own private bathroomā€”a huge plus! The kitchen was a great size for cooking and gathering, and the propane BBQ made for fun outdoor meals. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, allowing us to fully relax and recharge. We also loved that the garage was available to us; it was perfect for storing our bikes safely.We spent our days playing games, exploring, relaxing, and most importantlyā€”bonding as a family. It was a much-needed escape, and we made memories weā€™ll never forget. Being just minutes from the lake was the cherry on top.One small tip: if you're staying more than a couple of days, itā€™s helpful to bring a few extra kitchen trash bags and dishwashing soap, as only a couple of each were provided. Not a big deal at all, just good to know in advance.Overall, we cannot say enough good things about this rental. It felt like home the moment we walked in, and no one wanted to leave. We will definitely be back!

Nice, comfortable place

Great place for families or groups of friends. Pros: * The three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms * Big kitchen table * Nice layout where everyone can be together downstairs or go upstairs for some separation. Cons: * Couch was a bit old and not super comfortable, but not bad overall. * Internet was kind of slow and sometimes seemed stop altogether. Was a little bit of an issue when trying to do some video calls.

Perfect Mountain Getaway That Brought Us Together

We had an incredible stay at this cozy mountain home just minutes from Shaver Lake Village. Every bedroom had its own private bathroom, plus an extra one downstairs ā€” which made things so convenient for our group. The large dining table was a highlight: perfect for shared meals, card games, and late-night conversations. It brought us together in a way that made this trip truly special, and we created some of the most amazing family memories here. The home was clean, inviting, and well-stocked for a comfortable stay. The game room was a hit, offering plenty of entertainment for both kids and adults. The spacious deck was ideal for relaxing in the fresh mountain air, enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or stargazing at night. The location couldnā€™t have been better ā€” tucked away in a quiet wooded area but still just a short drive to town and Shaver Lake. Itā€™s a perfect base for hiking, boating, or simply unwinding in nature. While the washer and dryer werenā€™t available for use (which we knew beforehand), it wasnā€™t an issue for our short stay. If you're staying longer than two nights, just plan ahead and bring a few extras like dishwashing pods, soap, and trash bags. We made a quick store run for a couple of items, but honestly, it didnā€™t take away from the experience at all. This home exceeded our expectations, and weā€™ve already decided it will be our go-to rental for future visits. We absolutely loved our time here and canā€™t wait to come back!

Beautiful house in the woods

We had a fabulous time in Shaver Lake. The marina is minutes away and the house has large rooms with a bonus room for the kids upstairs. My young adult kids really enjoyed the pool table. The 3 master suites were perfect! The kitchen was well stocked and everything was meticulously maintained and decorated to create a warm welcoming feeling. We were excited to see the spa- but unfortunately, were told it wasn't included- would have been awesome to be able to soak this bod after a long day of water skiing! LOL Overall, just a lovely welcoming home.

Excessive Deferred Maintenance Needed

Hoping future guests will not experience all the issues with this property that we had. The list is too long to post here. The property was great for our group and the location is excellent. We have been coming to Shaver lake since the late 70s. The Vacasa staff only addressed one of the many many issues during our six days. I believe I had to call them at least six times. They stated they are just gearing up for the season and are hiring. Hoping any future guest will have better luck.

Beautiful great location

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and a great location. Unfortunately, we booked two nights and only stayed for one because of the beds and sleeping areas. The three full size beds are so uncomfortable we could not sleep. You can feel the springs in the beds. Please add mattress pads on top! The upstairs game room was fun until it was time to sleep there. No curtains and very bright from neighbors lights and moon shining in large windows. Please add window covers! The rest of the house was very nice, but sleeping wasn't good.

Quiet, great nature views, plenty of space

We stayed here for Thanksgiving. What a perfect place for a family getaway. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our party. Loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The windows in the living room let in lots of light and truly make it feel like youā€™re away from it all. Even though itā€™s in a neighborhood. you canā€™t see any houses. Kitchen had everything we needed. Laundry room was a bonus, especially with kids. We sipped on late night whiskey on the deck and watched the stars above the silhouette of the tall pines. Magical. I saw some people posting about the carpet in the dining room that they kept tripping on and didnā€™t think anything of it until it kept happening to us. They really need to take the time to replace that rug. My elderly parents were with us and I kept worrying theyā€™d fall. Itā€™s a major tripping hazard in a high traffic area. Even if not elderly, we kept tripping from kitchen to table with food. Not great when carrying hot dishes. Would have been a 5 star otherwise.

Unkept property

Couldnā€™t check in at 4. Next day had tree trimmers, people on the roof, guys yelling, weed wackers, and leaf blowers for 1 1/2-2 hours, and my husband wasnā€™t feeling well. Third day the owners showed up and said they didnā€™t know we were here. They did their ā€œmonthly reviewā€ of their home, checked filters, etc and left after an hour. The home is very musty with old smelling due to old furniture and unclean carpet, jelly and syrup on the front of the kitchen counter fronts, microwave has food stuck on the glass wheel inside, where my paper towel stuck, there is a huge spider and web in the kitchen window corner where it would open the bottom pane. The house was NOT ready for visitors after the winter. Garage had leaves and debris inside, no furniture on the deck, however the owners took care of that one two items. The reviews and listing mentioned no air conditioning, so we brought our fan. The fans at the house have dust caked on, so you would get a dose of allergy dust if turned on. The home could be very nice, just no upkeep by the housekeeping or the owners. We will not rent again.
