Manor house of the 18th century located at the edge of the sea. Maintains the balance between tradition and comfort.

It is located in Las Aguas, municipality of San Juan de la Rambla.
The rehabilitation was carried out in 2010 respecting the original configuration of the property that is subject to the rules of protection of the Historical Heritage for its characteristics and for being located on the Camino Real that bordered the sea to Garachico.
The building has about 160 M2 distributed over two floors: a large dining room with Mudejar roof, two double and two single bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, preserving all the traditional techniques and original building materials: tea, stone of stonework, adobe and roofs with four waters.
Stunning views over the sea from a garden terrace and two terraces overlooking the field planted with tropical fruits: bananas, orange, avocado, mango, peaches, papaya, coffee, cocoa, etc.

Beautiful old house by the sea

Really enjoyed staying at the house. The views and the constant sound of the sea make it a special place to be. There are lots of places to sit and relax, both inside and outside and the pool is private and very well maintained.

Stunning views from a peaceful location

A splendid location listening to the crashing surf below whilst enjoying a large, comfortable and historic house with all the modern conveniences and stunning views out to sea. The 200 yards walk from the parking space up the cliff path only adds to the charm and relaxation the property offers. The path continues on to be a beautiful walk to the top of the cliff offering amazing views. The host couldn’t be more helpful.

Sensational ocean view

We stayed for one week with four persons in this lovely property. It is very special and unique. Perfect size and enough space to relax for four. Amazing is the view from the various roof terraces. We loved it! Important to note - the access to the property of about 200 m is the start of a little hiking trail with some steep parts and challenge if you cant carry your luggage. The trail is not lit at all in darkness so bring your mobile or a torch. But definitely worth it! Nice restaurants close by and ideal location in the north to explore the island. The agency was great, excellent communication checking in for our well-being daily. Thank you for such a memorable stay! waccess to the property

Simply Wonderful!!!!

We had a wonderful holiday at this glorious house with its spectacular clifftop location. The house is very old but tastefully restored to include many original features and so provides a combination of modern, comfortable facilities whilst retaining delightful character. It’s perched (very safely) on a cliff directly overlooking the sea and we spent many happy hours in the window seats, on loungers near the pool or in secluded corners of the garden reading and relaxing, enjoying magnificent views. San Juan de la Rambla, two minutes walk, is small and quiet but has a reputation for good seafood, so has four restaurants and there are more, plus banks and a small supermarket, about half a mile away. The owners were friendly and helpful, the island is a treasure, especially here in the lush north, and there were more things to do than we could fit in two weeks (so we will be back, and we’ll stay at this house). If you want a relaxing holiday in a wonderful location, with the option of easily dipping into and out of the many places of interest on the island, I would recommend this house to anybody – and do try the local wine!

Lovely house, fantastic location, great host in Carlos.

We loved the house & the location, very lucky with the hot weather so the pool was a welcome distraction. Only downside was to be told on our tour of the property that the house next door was having building work done, so sunbathing to the sound of a circular saw wasn't ideal. Plus the house on the other side decided to have roofing work done on the Friday from 8 am, so sunbathing went out of the window as there were two men on the roof looking at us. None of this was the owners fault but it put a bit of a dampenener on what would've been a wonderful experience. But anyway, that the only reason our holiday didn't get 5 stars, as the house, location, Carlos who was extremely helpful & the weather were all worth 5 stars.

We are very happy to hear that you and your wife loved the house, we did our best to restore ti respecting the original features of the bulding of the XVIII century. Unfortunatly you had very bad luck with the work that the neighbours did in their rooftop, we completely understand the inconvenience and we did try to speak with them to, at least, do they best to dont disturb. Now the work have been dont so we really hope that the next time nothing can disturb you and you can enjoy your sunbath and the views to the max. Stunning Views

The pictures do not do the views any justice as this place is just stunning. We sat on the pool deck for hours every day and did not get sick and tired of the views. As per previous reviews we expected the 200 metre trek from the car park to the house but it was steeper than we expected and it is just a cobbled/gravelled path. A lot of people may struggle with the access. Once there it is so worth it. The old house was just so cute and the kitchen was well equipped. Please note there is no aircon but keep the living room windows wide open (making sure the net curtains stop any flies flooding in) and the sea breeze is lovely. Now you are up in the hills and the gardens are stunning with beautiful heather and wild flowers BUT there are mice in the house, traps are out and we did see them running around at night. The scratting nose in the actual bedroom kept us awake at night AND this is the only thing that let the whole place down. I suppose where it’s located it cannot be helped. But once again the views would make us return. The location on this side of the island means it’s hot but cloudy every day so be prepared and still use sunscreen as you don’t realise how strong the sun behind the clouds still is. You do need a car as nothing really in San Juan La Rambla and best (very cheap) supermarket about 15 mins drive away. I would recommend this place as a get away from the world holiday. The communication with the owner was excellent.

Ausgezeichnete Aussicht auf den Atlantik

Sauberes und grosszügiges Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern, 2 Duschbädern und gemütlicher Sitzecke sowie Garten- und Poolanlage in 3 Ebenen. Ja, der Weg zum Haus mit Gepäck oder Einkäufen ist etwas beschwerlich, aber im Haus angekommen schnell vergessen, weil die Lage des Hauses einfach spektakulär ist. Das Haus aus dem 17. Jahrhundert ist mit Respekt renoviert worden und bietet gemütlichen Komfort. Wünschenswert zur perfekten Ausstattung wäre ein Geschirrspüler. Wir haben 12 wundervolle Tage im Haus verbracht und werden wieder kommen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war schnell, freundlich und problemlos.

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt

Wir waren 12 Tage in dem Appartement. Als wir angekommen sind wartete der Vermieter schon auf uns und zeigte uns den Parkplatz und das Haus. Das Haus ist groß und sehr schön. Die Küche war auch mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Vom Vermieter haben wir außerdem eine Flasche Wein und frisches Obst bekommen. Das Highlight war aber der Garten mit dem Pool und der tollen Aussicht zum Meer. Die Ruhe war ein Traum und man konnte mal richtig entspannen. Als es eine kleine Panne im Bad gab war der Vermieter sofort zur Stelle und das Problem wurde gelöst. Obwohl es schon sehr spät war. Der Ort ist bisschen außerhalb aber mit dem Auto alles kein Problem. Resteraunts gibt es in der Nähe sehr viele. Und sind sehr empfehlenswert wenn man die richtige Kanarische Küche kennenlernen will. Für alle die Ruhe suchen und dem Meeresrauschen lauschen wollen ist dieses Fleckchen genau richtig. Gracias ! :)

points positifs : Bon accueil , nos valises ont été prises en charges pour arriver à la maison par un chemin un peu délicat Excellent emplacement, jolie vue sur la mer très proche et le village situé a courte distance de même que les restaurants, le calme (à part le marteau piqueur du chantier d’a côté mais ça c’est la faute à pas de chance) le bruit des vagues. Maison typique . Points négatifs. Nous ne comprenons absolument pas les notes dithyrambiques allouées à cette location. En effet : Tout d’abord quelques approximations dans le descriptif : la terrasse située en surplomb de la falaise n’est pas accessible contrairement à ce que laissent penser les photos avec transat. La maison n’est pas pour 6 mais 5 en effet la « chambre » est une zone de passage vers la terrasse dénuée de rangement et sert de remise ( parasols, set pour les transats..). La chambre 3 en haut est très petite et surtout très chaude , étouffante. La chambre principale n’a pas d’ouverture directe sur l’extérieur et ne dispose que de très peu de rangement notamment minuscule placard. Quand à la literie elle est de qualité très moyenne, vous y transpirez très vite ( nous sommes des personnes de petits gabarits..) et elle était fortement souillée dans la chambre principale faute d’une protection de matelas efficace. Mon épouse a été écœuré… Le WIFI n’est présent que dans le salon et les 2 chambres du bas , rien

Buenas tardes. Lamentamos leer su opinión y su puntuación sobre la casa y no haber estado a la altura de sus expectativas. Ponemos en su conocimiento que se trata de una casa del Siglo XVIII restaurada confome las exigencias de la normativa y sin poder cambiar su estructura, respetando los valores tradicionales de la construcción. Entendemos que quizás este tipo de alojamiento no es de su agrado o no se adapta a sus exigencias, y lamentamos que así haya ocurrido. Cualquier otro elemento que no fuera de su agrado y que pudimos solucionar, fue solucionado sobre la marcha. Valoramos su comentario, pero no creemos que sea justa su puntuación. En cualquier caso, lamentamos que no haya sido de su agrado y esperamos que la próxima vez encuentre algo que le satisfaga. Gracias por visitarnos y nuestros mejores deseos para el futuro.

Tolle Ferienwohnung

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche in dem Haus. Ein grandioser Blick aus dem Wohnzimmer oder aus dem Pool auf das Meer. Das Haus ist urig und man muss ein wenig vom Parkplatz laufen, es ist aber ein schöner Weg. Es hört sich aufgrund der Steilküste immer so an, als würde ein kräftiger Sturm wehen. Herrlich. 🙂

Zwei traumhaft schöne Wochen

Zwei Wochen durften wir in diesem Paradies verbringen! Das Haus atmet Geschichte und doch ist es ausgestattet mit allen modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Gute sanitäre Anlagen und moderne Geräte. Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich schön. Direkt am Meer, umgeben von grünen Gärten. Ein atemberaubender Ausblick auf Meer und Berge, ein privater Pool und absolute Ruhe. Der kleine Ort San Juan de la Rambla mit Restaurants und kleinem Supermarkt ist durch einen kurzen Fußmarsch gut erreichbar. Wir wurden von unserem sehr netten Gastgeber mit Obst aus den eigenen Gärten und Wein empfangen und konnten uns jeder Zeit mit Fragen oder Problemen an ihn wenden! Es waren zwei unvergesslich schöne Wochen! Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen!

Wir waren zwei Wochen in dem Haus und sehr zufrieden. Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen. Es ist ruhig dort, der Garten ist herrlich und der Pool wunderbar zum Abkühlen mit einer fantastischen Aussicht auf das Meer 😍 Abends kann der Sonnenuntergang genossen werden und den Fledermäusen beim Rumfliegen zu geschaut werden. Wir haben fast immer im Haus gefrühstückt und zu abend gegessen weil es einfach schön war auf der Terasse zu sitzen. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden (bis auf einen Backoffen). Das Haus ist in der Nähe von mehreren Reataurants (schnell erreichbar, aber ohne das man den Lärm davon hört). Esgibt einen kleinen Supermarkt (ca. 10-15 Minuten zu Fuss), der fast alles hat. Mit dem Mietauto ist man innerhalb von 20 Minuten an den schönsten Sandstränden, in 15 Minuten in Puerto Cruz und so ziemlich alle anderen schönen Sehenswürdigkeiten aind innerhalb 1 Stunde gut zu erreichen.

Großzügiges Objekt in interessanter Lage

Gute Lage, prima Ausstattung und alles sehr gepflegt. Im Februar gab es kalte Nächte, da hat die transportable Heizung sehr geholfen.

Toller Aufenthalt

Die Lage und die Ausstattung waren top. Das Objekt ist viel größer als es auf den Fotos den Anschein hat, insbesondere der terrassierte Außenbereich.

Traumhaft

Wir hatten ein sehr ruhigen Urlaub in einer idyllischen Umgebung. In der Unterkunft gab es alles was man braucht für den Urlaub. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist zwar beschwerlich aber es lohnt sich. Eine perfekte Aussicht übers Meer von jeder Terrasse,Poll und aus fast allen Räumen. Die Unterkunft ist gut aufgeteilt wir hatten mit 3 Herren keinerlei Problem. Wir bedanken uns für die schöne Zeit (wie immer zu kurz) ... Und kommen gerne nochmals.
