This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is the perfect retreat for your Oregon coast getaway! Located in one of the best neighborhoods in Yachats, Oregon, the Big Wave Lodge offers you spectacular views of the waves breaking onto the tidepools right out your windows! From whales, sea lions and sea birds to fishing vessels and storm watching, the action is sure to please year round. A short walk down one of the most scenic streets on the central coast will lead you to a set of steps to the sand in Yachats Bay. At high tide, you will walk right past a blow hole and the bay will be filled with water and sea life. At low tide, the bay turns into a wonderful cove-like sandy beach. You are also walking distance to the town of Yachats where you will find fabulous dining, fresh seafood, and wonderful shops to explore.

The grand family room has a 75" flat screen TV and a large, inviting sofa. Grab a book or a pair of binoculars and claim your spot in front of the sunny picture windows! The custom kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need during your visit. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms and a shared full bath. There are another 2 bedrooms upstairs which share a spectacular custom bath-suite. There is a deep, freestanding bathtub with ocean views, double sinks and a most spectacular shower with double shower heads and incredible mosaic tile artwork. You will feel like you stepped in to the most luxurious European spa!

Just a short drive south you will find Cape Perpetua Scenic Area for hiking, whale watching, and the highest viewpoint accessible by car on the Oregon Coast, Heceta Head Lighthouse, and many beach turnouts to be able to explore the coastline.

Vehicles: Licensed for 4 (Strictly enforced- No street parking allowed)
Winter: 2 night minimum Standard & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum.

Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.

This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. Our stay was amazing! The beds in every room were the most comfortable I've ever had. The house was clean and equipped with basics. We would have liked there to be outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy the ocean sounds. Outside of some minor issues with one of the windows not shutting properly and the upstairs shower leaking onto the floor if you use both shower heads, we could not have chosen a better home and location. We appreciate you greatly and would recommend this home to anyone.

This was an amazing location in yachats! We loved hearing the ocean waves at night and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views!The house is also very open with great amount of windows for natural light.

When we arrived, we checked out the house. The kitchen had enough dishes etc. but no standard cooking supplies such as cooking oil, etc. Only salt and pepper. Several windows were broken (hinges locks) and most of the screens were missing. Because of that, we had a bat enter the house and we had to use the whole family to get it out. I called the property manager and they sent someone to help but arrived well after we got the bat out.Fireplace was not functional. Smoke detectors went off one day and called the property manager to get it working which took 3 hours for them to take care of it.Back door and some sliders do not lock or are extremely difficult to lock/unlock.For the price I paid, I would not recommend this house.

Family Celebrations

The view is amazing from all bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The house is roomy. The kitchen is large and had everythng we needed! We loved the Fiestaware!. The beds are comfortable. The upstairs bathroom is awesome. It was perfect for our family gathering!

Beautiful Home

This home was beautiful. It was clean, equipped with everything we could possibly need and the views were stunning. The only downside was the hot tub being out of order. Otherwise, we were incredibly pleased with our stay.

Excellent location

Loved the house and location. Amenities were great. Reported slow draining sinks in the bathrooms but didnā€™t get a call back. The shower tiles in the primary bathroom could be cleaner. The shades in the primary bedroom could be cleaned. Overall, a very nice spacious house that could use a little sprucing up.

Great location.

The house has a lot of potential. It was clean but needed some TLC. Most of it was just general maintenance issues like painting on the outside, updating of decorating, and the refrigerator literally had rust all over the outside of it. We also had no air conditioning or heat the entire time we were there. The master bath had an incredible shower, but there was no way to keep the water inside the shower and it would run all over the floor. They took care of these issues. It would probably be one of the nicest places we stayed. They have great big picture windows that look out to the ocean. The hot tub on the deck was very clean and we enjoyed it. We would stay at this property again.

Ideal setting for a weeklong getaway

It was very easy to settle in to this wonderful home on the beautiful coast of Oregon. We opened the windows and were immediately soothed by the sound of the waves just outside, it set the mood for our entire trip. We found the bedrooms comfortable, the bathrooms were as pictured with that great shower and soaker tub right by the window. We cooked at home a good amount of the time and did not find any of the cookware lacking. The hot tub was very nice to end the day. The beach and town of Yachats are all very close and in walking distance. All of the state parks you could visit and explore in a weeks time are within a few miles driving distance. We cleaned the floors a bit when we came in because we realized our feet/socks were getting a bit dirty walking around without shoes. The screen slider to the hot tub had some tears in the screen but was still completely functional. We didn't have use of the hot tub our first night, but that is ok because they had drained and refilled it (it was still heating the water up). There is some water damage in the ceiling corner of the 1st floor (back) king bedroom above where the front facing windows are as well as some water damage on the ceiling of the 1st floor queen room. If I had to guess it is from the upstairs bathroom or the dormer. I did not see any mold though, so that is good! Upstairs bedrooms were immaculate! Overall would recommend highly :-)

Perfect for our Family Reunion

We absolutely loved staying at this property! The master bed was so comfortable and the upstairs bathroom suite was one of my favorite features of the house. We used the hot tub, grill and enjoyed the stunning views from the living room, master bedroom and upstairs bathroom suite! The only thing I would want to change is the ability to lower the hot tub temp so it is more kid friendly. And somehow there were other guests in the house when we arrived because they were confused and though it was their rental. However management was always very responsive regarding any concerns and needs.
