Secluded Cabin with Rustic Charm

High Country All Star is a quaint, cozy three-story mountain cabin that mixes modern comfort and rustic charm. Ample entertainment space, both indoors and outdoors, is ideal for family gatherings or time with friends!

This home has wonderful features throughout, including hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and a fully stocked and updated kitchen. There is an open loft upstairs that includes a slate pool table and foosball table. The downstairs functions as an additional family space with a large HDTV, as well as a sleeper sofa for larger parties requiring extra sleeping spots.

Guests can enjoy the tranquility and wooded views from the covered rear deck, fire pit, or hot tub. There is a short path that leads to a pond that guests are welcome to explore and fish (with appropriate licenses).

The Lakes Community in Seven Devils is only 2 Miles from Hawksnest, which offers snow tubing in the winter, and ziplining during non-winter months. Otter Falls Trail is less than a mile away and makes for a wonderful walking trail with majestic mountain views as well as Otter Falls Waterfall. Guests can also easily access neighboring towns such as Boone and Blowing Rock as well as attractions like Grandfather Mountain and both Beech and Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts.

The house and location

The house and location were great! Seemed odd to have the game tables upstairs, just because of the noise level, however, it didn't stop us from having fun. The house could use a deep cleaning - dust on blinds, window sills and other spots that don't get cleaned regularly, as well as the shower liners needed changing or bleaching. There was only one skillet in the house. And no grilling tools, but yet there was a grill. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time and worked around all the minor things.

It was very dirty

The home was not clean. There was almost no cookware for cooking. Football table and all gyms were very old and we were not able to use it. There was not enough dishwasher detergent to use. We will not book this property again.

Easter Family Weekend

We had a great weekend at the cabin. We really enjoyed the pool table and the layout of the cabin was great for us with our 2 adult children, having bedrooms and baths on all three levels. A few things in the cabin could use some attention, however. The trash can lids did not have any locks on them and a raccoon got into it one night. The hot tub thermostat does not work right, one night it was too cold to use, the next night it was way too hot to use. And the beds could use an upgrade. All the beds were uncomfortable and squeak really loud just rolling over. The linens and pillows also need to be replaced. But overall the cabin has a lovely setting and is really easy to get to from downtown Boone.

Fun getaway

Really enjoyed our time here. Had a good sized group (5 adults) and the cabin was really spacious. The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind ( super warm for December and then freezing cold at night)We really appreciated how customizable the heat was throughout the house.😊

Not well maintained

Owner's should spend time in their home. We slept on every bed and all mattresses were awful. Old and lumpy. Silverware had crusted food on them. Floors were dirty in main area. Spa water cloudy. We paid a lot for our stay and we expect light bulb problems ut this place needs the owner to spend some time updating repairs and maintenance. Owners could take some pride in their cabin.

Disappointed after being initially thrilled

We discovered that the hot tub wasn't functioning properly. Most of the jets didn't function and the headrests were just horribly nasty looking. There was a huge rip in the middle couch cushion on the lower level. The ice maker was not working at all. We sent an email to the property manager about the Hot tub to never receive a reply. When I pay for a Villa I expect the main things I picked the villa for to function. The Villa was beautiful in appearance and area but it's the things inside that disappointed us. One of the comforters on the twin beds was filthy and God Knows what the crusty stuff on it was. So disgusting.

ALL STAR CABIN STAY IN 7 DEVILS

Great cabin for about 6-8 people Beautiful setting with streams and ponds You will need a 4 wheel drive or chains to access property ( saw two families struggling) Lots around the area to do: Tubing right up the street, Ski, Ice skating sugar mountain, etccc Am booking my stay again with this company!

We certainly enjoyed our stay and love the Seven Devils area. This is our second Thanksgiving at Seven Devils and hopefully we will return next year. The house was great but very noisy when there was activity on the upper level with 2 small grands. The mattress in the upper bedroom needs to be replaced. Overall a great experience and we would go back.

Wonderful cabin in a great location! Would not hesitate to stay here again. One recommendation would be to replace the frying pans - both are burnt up and cannot be used for cooking.

Needs cleaning up outside . Every thing is grownup. 2 foot high weeds are growing out of the gutters. Porches need cleaning. Don't think I'm going back there. Total waste of time and money.

We are very sorry that the exterior wasnt up to your expectations. We use 3rd party contractors for our landscaping needs. A contributing factor to some of the growth was the fact we did have 2 tropical depressions with in a week or so and dropped a significant amount of rain and hindered some of our lawncare.

Great location

Quiet neighborhood. Neat outdoor space with a small creek and fire pit. The layout of the house was perfect for us, with one bedroom on each level. Unfortunately, the house had some deferred maintenance when we visited. There were large weeds growing from the gutters, a large section of tile missing from the main level shower, multiple lightbulbs burned out in the kitchen, dead batteries in 2 of the TV remotes, kitchen cabinets with doors loose (trash canister). When we arrived, the hot tub was not ready for use for the next 2 hours due to recent disinfecting, greatly disappointing our kids.

High Country All Star

Very disappointed, rented 2yrs ago and repairs/upkeep needed then haven't been touched. Thought with COVID19 extra maintenance would be warranted. NOT SO! I cleaned before I sat down including wiping down outside chairs to sit without bugs or bird poop all over (the hose works well). Floors were dirty and really in bad shape. Gas grills were so filthy we had to try to clean one, just to be able to use without smoking up the whole neighborhood. Trash drawer in kitchen is still broken (took bin out and just used free standing). Don't plan on having decent kitchen equipment (inexpensive, bare min. and really need to be replaced) Mstr bath shower still has several tiles missing (obviously from soap dish) so we used an empty cooler to store soap/shampoo etc (caveat there's a whole box of tile sitting next to shower). Mattresses need to be replaced. Questionable code conformance for front stairs...especially hazardous for young/older individuals (although son-in-law fell 2 yrs. ago). We rent vacation homes several times and year, especially in this area..beautiful surrounding but doesn't deserve its 5 star ratings, very misleading. Will not rent here again unless there's a major overhaul...too many others to choose from.

House was very cozy, could use an update. Tile in bathroom shower should be fixed. Pots and pans could use some updating. Access was easy and convenient. Overall was a good stay.

Beautiful, immaculate interior and fully stocked

The inside was very clean the linen and the beds were very nicely put together however there is few issues that need to be taken care of: -Master bathroom shower was missing two or three pieces of tile maybe a repair was ongoing and not finish? -Master bathroom next to the Jacuzzi it had a access panel open and a extra showerhead on a patch was just sitting on top of the Jacuzzi for no apparent reason. -2 kitchen lower cabinets look out of plum or broken. -we wanted to enjoy the outside fresh air and I had to vacuum the windows as they were filled with dust, dead insects and spiders, thank God there was a vacuum on property; all the light fixtures on the exterior are filled with spider webs it almost looks like a abandoned cabin. -The lower deck and the inside of the Jacuzzi we are filled with tree leaves, they were not a screen to clean the inside of the Jacuzzi and that was a little bit frustrating.

50th Family Anniversary

Great house for family gathering. Kitchen well appointed. Only missing large skillet. Next guest will not need to worry. Purchased 2 for Kitchen!! Nice deck on back overlooking woods. Gas grill needs updating. Was able to use with a little patience. Awesome game room. Everyone enjoyed the pool table. Great house for pets. They loved being part of the gathering and really loved the gated deck for relaxing outside enjoying the nice weather.
