Really enjoyed this place - it was amazing to open the huge sliding doors in the morning and have a great ocean view as we had our morning coffee in bed. It had everything we needed - kitchen was well stocked - we used it daily. Check in was seamless. Great stay overall! Bed was super comfy and huge.

Unfortunately we were caught in a hurricane and had no power for many days on end. It was Hurricane Lola. The pool broke down for a couple days. There was a fire in the building and we had to walk down 16 floors of stairs at 6am with no power. We will be asking for at least a partial refund and will report back here what happens. Thanks for reading.

We are very sorry that your stay in Hawaii was affected by the hurricane and the unexpected power outages. The hurricane caused power outages in most areas of Oahu, and some areas experienced outages for up to Five days. Unfortunately, the power outage also affected the pool circulation system, which made the pool unavailable for a couple of days. Regarding the fire, during the power outage, the internet was not working and phone service was also very limited. Because of this, we did not receive any report or notification about the fire at the Ilikai apt. We completely understand how disappointing and difficult this situation must have been for you, and we truly regret that these unexpected circumstances affected your Hawaii vacation. However, our policy does not provide refunds for unforeseen natural disasters or weather-related events that are beyond our control. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Amazing Place to Explore Ohau!!

Great Vrbo

It was very clean with a beautiful view! The AC worked great and it was in a perfect location for Waikiki. If I ever go back to Hawaii, I will stay here again.

Comfortable and great location

We just got back from our stay in Oahu. The place was super comfortable and clean. The kitchen was a little outdated but it had everything we needed. The view was outstanding. We had our breakfast on the lanai every morning. Location is very convenient.

Great Location !

Just a quick trip that worked perfectly for us. We loved the proximity to restaurants and the beach. Also loved our pool time. We will definitely try and book this Vacation Rental again for a future trip to Honolulu.

11 night getaway

Great location, awesome views. We enjoyed the heated salt water pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything we needed to make our stay in Waikiki unforgettable.

Comfortable condo, great view, good location

I was visiting for my son's volleyball tournament at the convention centre, so this was perfectly situated between that and Waikiki beach was about a 30 min walk. So I was all set! Great communication from the property manager and I loved the view from the large balcony. I will stay here again for sure.

Beautiful view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! If you want to be in the action of the city this is the perfect place to stay! The balcony had a great view of the ocean/pier, we caught fireworks and luaus from our balcony on more than one occasion! The sunrise/sunset view is pretty good as well! The apartment is small but the perfect size for two people, just don’t buy steaks or things u would like to grill. Tons of shopping and restraunts nearby! Would def recommend this place!!

Efficient but worn

Carpet, towels and linens were clean but worn. Excellent rice maker. Good response from manager. Very convenient location.Pool is very small and towels were threadbare.

Great location!

Place is cozy and roomy with beautiful view. Overall great find. Fire alarm blasted in the early AM. We had to all get down from 16th floor by stairs half awake. One guy said it happened last week also..so hopefully it's something to be improved.

Perfect Place for a getaway!

Don't stay at a hotel when you can snag this rental with more space, a full kitchen, and gorgeous ocean views for a fraction of a fancy hotel price! While it is a little outdated (no exhaust fans in the bathroom or kitchen), it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after time at the beach, pool, and lagoon which are all located within short walking distance! Bonus: You can even watch the luau at the Hilton next door from a bird's eye view or catch another one the building puts on every Friday! Great location close to not only all the water but food and shopping also. My parents stayed here while my husband, kids and I were in a cramped two -bed hotel room. We loved this place so much more!

Waikiki

This studio apartment worked well for my husband and myself being part of the Waikiki urban setting. We walked to grocery and shops. Snorkeled off the beach. We only had a car for three days on our eight day stay in town. We ubered otherwise. It’s $45 to valet where we stayed but on the Big Island where we also stayed on this trip it was $52 for valet at the resort

Reviewer Comments: Great location, we have been staying at the illikia for about 15 years, while the unit was ok, I’ve never stayed at a Vrbo that didn’t provide the basics for your first night, or staples that every one needs first thing in the am, like coffee. The overall of the unit is pretty tired and could use a little of a face lift.

Property is tired. Shower curtain, drapes and bed are marginal. Was assured toilet was tall/elongated bowl. It wasn't. No dishwasher (I didn't ask). TV/cable complicated.Never did find national channels. Air conditioner was undersized when afternoon sun hit the windows.

Beautiful but could use some updates

This property was great and had beautiful views! It’s within a couple minutes from the lagoon and beach. I do just have a few nit-picky things that would have made our stay even better. The shower was really small (width wise) and you had to constantly fight with the shower curtain sticking to you during your shower. There were signs in the place that asked you to turn the AC off while you’re not in the room. Which although I understand because Hawai’i is expensive I thought it was unfair to ask us to turn the AC off and always coming back to a hot condo after sweating all day roaming around, especially after paying so much to stay there and not knowing this requirement before booking. The last thing is honestly just an annoying thing. There’s two decals on the sliding door that goes to the Lanai and they’re placed in the middle of your view to the ocean. When looking at the photos before booking I thought this was a copyright type thing in the photos not actually stuck on the window. However, all of this being said the condo was great and had an amazing, beautiful view and it did the job for what we needed. I would recommend staying here just be aware of the few things especially the shower and the AC requirement before booking.

The location worked well for us at the edge of Waikiki Beach and right near the Alamoana shopping center. There’s a bus stop right out front that was convenient to take a quick trip downtown or to the mall to eat.
