Located in the Waikoloa Beach Resort, right on the sun-kissed Hawaiian shores, you'll be surrounded by fun and relaxation. Spend your days swimming with sea turtles at 'A' Bay or book a surf lesson to learn how to hang ten. Rent a stand-up paddleboard to weave through the waters of Waiulua Bay, then take in the postcard-perfect sights at Hapuna Beach State Park just up the road.

Start your day off with a light workout in the fitness center, then play a round of golf on the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course before hitting the hot tub or cooling down with a few laps in the pool. This is the 2nd time we have rented this condo. Its very nice, location is perfect, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, grocery store. Very comfortable bed, kitchen is very nice & everything you need. Air conditioning, only problem is we could never figure the TV.

This is quiet, clean apartment. It is quite well stocked and close to the very nice beach. Highly recommend! My mom and I enjoyed our vacation very much.

Lovely condo

Very clean and perfect size for a couple! Really appreciated the 1/2 bath as well. Bed was comfortable and the views were lovely. Would definitely come back!

Wonderful vacation

Amenities were good in the home, it had everything we needed. An information book would have been nice with direction to beaches, restaurants nearby and approximate distance as we wanted to walk rather than drive. We eventually figured it out but would help in planning. The deck was amazing, nice for morning coffee and evening drinks

Quiet, clean, and absolutely amazing

The property was beautiful. We felt like we had our own secluded piece of paradise. The condo is kept absolutely spotless. Communications from the hosts were excellent.

The Shores at Waikōloa

Our visit was nice. The home is quite clean and has a well stocked kitchen. An updated on the furniture inside and out is recommended. Overall, the facility is beautiful, quiet at night and we very much enjoyed playing tennis most nights

Perfect Condo with exceptional management

Condo was clean and in good shape. Hawaii weather means that most condos are slightly run down. Not this one. It was well maintained and it great shape. Walk across the golf course and you'll be at the malls where there are a lot of food options in about 10 minutes. Overall, great stay!

A great property

The Shores is an excellent gated community with beautifully landscaped grounds. The lanai/balcony was very spacious and positioned to allow us to eat all our meals outside, covered for protection from direct sun. There was a selection of beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, thermos water jug, a bit of snorkel gear and a boogie board. These additional items were very much appreciated and used. The unit is very spacious and comfortable for two. It is within easy walking distance to a beautiful beach. It is also close to the Hilton Waikoloa Village where my partner attended a conference. I would recommend going to the larger grocery store in Waikoloa Village for more selection. We would definitely return to this unit!

Condo can use some upgrades

Our trip started off with the final payment check being lost and then on arrival we were given the wrong code to the gate, the wrong room number, the wrong code to the lock box that held the key to the room. After and hour of trying to get a hold of the manager she finally called us back. The condo was in a nice complex with good amenities but the inside of the condo could use some work. First the air conditioning did not work, the closet siding mirror doors were difficult to move, the dresser drawers were not usable and the shower fixtures need some new gaskets. The complex was quiet, centrally located and we adapted to using fans for the air conditioning. They said they would compensate us for the lack of air conditioning but we have not heard from them yet. Don't think I would stay here again.

Very Nice, Love the Lani.

We stayed at this condo for 2 weeks last month, while the condo is dated, and has a few issues. The Lani is perfect, with the most comfortable lounge chairs, we enjoyed having coffee and lounging every morning, listening to nothing but the birds. Heaven! The complex itself is very nice, it is small, quiet, and close (within walking distance) to the beach, and stores. The pool area is great, quiet, and very close to the unit, the gym is just beyond the pool, and is fully equipped. The gardners were there everyday, tending to the property, the grounds were amazing. We looked at a few other units for rent in the complex, that are updated and outfitted /better stocked, but are more expensive per night. If budget is what you are after then this unit is perfect. We are in love with Hawaii, our favourite vacation destination, with The Big Island and Waikiki being the favourites. In the past we have stayed at the hotels in the Waikoloa area, but with resort fees and parking fees, it is a far better deal to stay in a condo. (Especially if you are Canadian) The Waikoloa area feels and looks very high end, very peaceful/clean. Not overly crowded like the Kona area. The Lava Lava Beach Club a definite must! Very good happy hour!

Management Issues

While the unit was somewhat dated with a very small and poorly equipped kitchen, it was adequate for our needs and about what we had expected. Our problem was with the management of the unit. Checking in on Valentine's Day we were frustrated to find the emailed directions sent us to the wrong building, all the hand towels had been put away wet, only 3 bath towels are provided for any length stay, and we could only get sound, no picture, on the TV. I called the number provided (during the listed office hours) hoping for a quick fix. Not realizing that I was calling her cell, I had some trouble with the voice mail and soon received a call back from the very angry manager Heidi. I received a lecture that these amenities are what the owners provide and she was tired of these complaints because the owners refused to take her advice as a "Professional" Property Manager and correct the deficiencies. She offered to come by after her "Valentine's dinner" that I had interrupted. We eventually got the TV working and notified her that she did not need to come by. We decided after this to make do with whatever was provided and continue our vacation. One afternoon we returned to the unit after being out all day to find the dead bolt unlocked and the balcony sliding glass door wide open. We called to find out who might have entered the unit. The manager said that she had tried to call to provide notice that they needed to enter for regular HVAC service and when they could not reach us, they came in anyway. If she did call to provide notice, it could have been only a few hours before on the same day. I expressed concern that this was a violation of our privacy, that service should be done between tenants, that they should not have entered without our express permission, and that the security of the unit was compromised by having the deadbolt unlocked and the exterior sliding door open after she left. She said that she was in the unit with the service technician so we should not have had any concerns. She didn't seem to get it. We were only in the unit for five nights so this certainly could have waited until after we had vacated.

Best place for IM training in big Island

Quiet, good roads to run around, outside of the Kona traffic. Perfect for final training before Ironman. Also kitchen equipment was implacable!...which helped as I don't go to eat out but prefer home made meals.
