THINGS TO KNOW
This building was impacted by Hurricane Ian. There may be construction noise inside the building during the day to repair the damage and contractors are often present. Common areas are in the process of being repaired and there are also no beach chairs available. The pool is currently closed but is estimated to be accessible by mid-June 2023. The completion date is slated to be July 1, 2023, but may be delayed.

Beach chairs and umbrella can be rented on the beach. Condo does not provide them.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Everything was great. Nice clean, tasteful condo in a beautiful setting. Pool and hot tub were terrific as was access to the gorgeous beach. Would definitely consider returning.

Great unit. Laid out really well. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for the five of us. The beach and pool were perfect. Only criticism is that the faucet in the small bathroom didnā€™t work very well. The water trickled out. Hopefully the balcony will be usable soon.

Despite the hurricane damage on the island, Gull Wing Resorts property is in great shape. Our condo was great! We will definitely be back and stay here again! Can't wait!

Great location

Beautiful beach, condo was nice and clean, a few little minor issues, main bathroom faucet barely worked and the towel holders kept falling off the wall. There were no beach chairs in the condo for use which it stated that however, be prepared to pay a lot of money for rickety, old chairs and an umbrella each day that youā€™re on the beach. Since people are traveling a few beach items to use would be an improvement! Pinchers is very close to walk too and the food and music was awesome.

Best place we've ever rented

We have traveled many times using many different rental properties. This property is definitely the BEST. From the moment of booking, communication from Vacasa was excellent and continued up to checkout. Upon arriving at the condo, we were impressed with both the cleanliness and how well stocked the unit was. The kitchen had a full set of dishes, not just tableware, but serving dishes and utensils. They supplied cookware that allowed us to prepare meals as we would at home (My son is a chef, so this is not easy). They had even provided a crockpot and basic spices. There are 2 coffee pots, a traditional brewer and a Kerig. Coffee and filters for the traditional brewer were provided. Dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher pods, dish towels, paper towels, garbage bags, Clorox wipes, foil and plastic wrap were even provided. . There was even a small picnic basket available that could be taken to the pool or beach. There were ice packs & a full ice maker. Things I didn't even know I would want were provided. The furniture in all rooms was clean and well cared for. There was a dining room table with 6 chairs, a wet bar with 2 stools, 2 stools at the kitchen counter and 6 chairs around the table on the balcony. The Living Room had adequate seating for the entire family as well. We have been in accommodations that say they sleep 6-8, but the dining room table is small with 4 chairs, this unit allowed us to interact as a family without feeling like we were in different rooms. There were games and puzzles in the cabinet. All TV's were functional. The living room TV was Direct TV. Bedrooms had smart TVs. The beds were comfortable and plenty of linen was provided. The unit sleeps 6, and there were 6 full sets of bath towels and a few additional hand towels and washcloths. Both bathrooms were stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and body lotion. Very clear instructions for accessing Wi-Fi were available. House rules and expectations for checkout were very clear and easily followed. Many units want you to clean prior to departure, all that was required by Vacasa was to not leave any dishes. Nitpicking things that could be fixed, because we only encountered things to nitpick! Guestroom door to the balcony would not open, Spray hose on the kitchen sink doesn't work. View from the balcony was somewhat blocked, but the balcony was screened in making it very comfortable. We were only here 3 days but could easily have stayed 3 months

Great condo on the beach, HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE

This rental is by Vacasa Property Management rather than a human being. Good condo set up & good views of the ocean right on the beach. BUT if you expect any sort of customer service from the Vacasa company forget it. You are on your own to figure it out. I tried contacting the Vacasa company multiple times with various questions & concerns on the day of arrival. From simple check in queries to being locked out of the building. None of the messages that were left through VRBO messaging were ever responded to. I was on hold for over 25 minutes to trouble shoot a wifi issue & gave up after no answer. Even the online housing guide to troubleshoot anything wasn't accessible as it wouldn't recognize the ID numbers that were provided. The condo building has a security feature in which 10pm to 8 a.m. you need a key card to get into the building. Seems like a nice idea for security. However, our key cards were not functioning & I found out the hard way that I was locked out of the building on day of arrival when I went to the beach at night while my friends slept. I again called the company & this time because I said I had a "security issue" using the automated system, I actually spoke with a live person after being on hold for 10 minutes. The operator was nice enough, but I was told on the phone to "wake up my friends" to let me into the building as the security personal for the condo unit may not be available to let me in. Seriously, that was the solution? Nor was there any suggestions to rectify the key card access issues for the rest of the stay. I had to figure that out on my own. Any other issues I had since the day of arrival I didn't even bother wasting my time trying to get a hold of the rental company to rectify since my written communication went unread and unanswered the entire visit. Issues with the condo itself, Wifi wouldn't connect & after 2 days of trying & finally connecting it was so slow it wasn't worth being connected. Bathroom fan didn't work, kitchen sprayer didn't work, the door in one of the bedrooms that was supposed to open to the balcony didn't unlock & open, & noted torn screening in the balcony. On day 3 of our trip my friend urged me to try calling again with the hopes to rectify the issues we were having for this rental. After being on hold this time for over 80 minutes, I gave up. Seriously, 80 minutes!! My friends & I WILL NOT BE RENTING FROM VACASA AGAIN.

Great location

Pros - close to several restaurants; beautifully decorated; beach chair rental available; ocean view; kitchen well stocked, washer and dryer clean and appear fairly new. Cons: water pressure is poor; internet connection is unreliable and weak; linens are as rough as sandpaper; condo needs a thorough cleaning - cabinets were grimy to touch , freezer drawer dirty and bottom broken. Overall - I would recommend this condo - but some improvements would make it top notch!!!

The beach access is the main attraction of this location. I would stay again as the beautiful beach is worth the price. The unit was ok, a place to sleep. There were dirty items such as socks cups hangers under the furniture so cleaning could be improved. Half the toaster didn't work, and we ran out of TP and paper towels in a short stay.

Nice spot, convenient access to everything

Condo was a great location. Great beach access. Nice community pool. Easy check in/out process. Close enough to shopping and restaurants, but far enough away to be relaxing. Only complaint was condo in need of just a little TLC. Bathroom sink didn't drain, broken dishes, water pressure not great in smaller bathroom, toilet flushing mechanism really hard to push. Minor stuff - all OK for the price and location. Just little stuff.

Fit the bill

The good: This property is good value for the money. Our family was comfortable there and had enough space, it was clean, it was right on the beach. The bathrooms are updated, and the screened in deck is nice. The double beds are nice and seem new. The bad: the location doesnā€™t have convenient shopping or restaurants. No beach shops to pick up floats or sunscreen, liquor or corner store. Any Shopping or restaurants is at least a couple minutes drive away. The condo itself has dated kitchen, the master bed mattress probably needs to be updated (saggy spots), the entire hallway outside of the unit smells like trash.
