South Beach at Coconut Bay is a spectacular beachfront home ideally situated just a few steps through a tropical coconut grove to a gorgeous expanse of warm sand that extends for miles in each direction and out into the shallow waters of the Pacific ocean. This large home can accommodate a maximum of TEN adults and two infants.

Located in South Maui’s Kihei region, you’ll discover a unique residence that is subdued and far from the congestion of tourist areas, and has the pace of a more authentic Hawaiian way of life.

The perfect outdoor lanai area is complete with a spectacular free-form swimming pool, large hot tub, canvas umbrellas, BBQ grill, and stylish chaise loungers. Soak up the Maui sun, before cooling off with a dip in the pool or a swim or private paddle in the ocean. Freshen up under the al fresco shower, and enjoy a lovely outdoor dinner, ideal for enjoying cuisine prepared on the barbecue.

Watch a Maui sunset, from the raised hot tub and relax in the privacy of this wonderful villa.

This premier two-story villa has an amazing great room with light that pours through retractable glass doors. Marble floors and contemporary design elements create a modern feel, while wooden furniture and paintings, depicting local scenes, showcase Hawaiian culture.

The gourmet kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and granite surfaces. Prepare memorable feasts for your guests and serve them around the elegant glass dining table, while never letting the Pacific out of your sight.

South Beach is completely air conditioned and each bedroom features soft linens and adorned with beautiful hardwood furniture.

Six miles of reef-protected beaches create the ideal waters for snorkeling, paddling and kayaking. A wildlife reserve with endangered species can be found to the North in Maalaea Bay, where you can also schedule whale and dolphin watching tours or excursions to Molokini crater. You’re within easy walking distance of Kihei town where you can stock up on groceries, shop or dine out. Golfers will also find two excellent courses within a ten minute drive.

• Hale Uluniu is in a residential neighborhood and sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours must not be more than is associated with a residential area.

• Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property lines is prohibited (exterior speakers are disconnected for this reason).

• Vehicles must be parked inside the fenced east yard area, and not on the street.

• No parties or group gatherings, other than registered guests may occur.

• Note: The shoreline area is State of Hawaii land, and is open for free use by everyone.

The house was perfect for our family of nine, including two five-olds. The kids loved having the pool and spa right outside the back door. We all got excited about seeing the sea turtles on the beach. Our host was very welcoming and responsive. Loved the central location.

The property was everything we expected and is as lovely in person as it appeared in photos. It easily accommodated our party of 5 adults and 3 children. Fantastic Family Vacation

We had an unforgettable family vacation in Maui in April. This is a great house in a great location. Centrally located in Maui. Extremely comfortable for 3 families (6 adults and 4 small kids). We saw sea turtles on the beach in front of the house most days!

Outstanding Experience!

We had an amazing time on the boat with Tim and Marcelle. They went to great lengths to ensure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and found plenty of amazing scenery, snorkeling, and wildlife for us to enjoy. Highly recommend, we will be back.

Paradise!

This house was absolutely perfect for us. Everyone had a bed, and several of us had a bed to ourselves. The kitchen basics were all there and anything you need to cook is furnished (except food of course). The appliances looked all brand new and worked great. We had zero issues with anything malfunctioning or being broken. The place is obviously very well cared for!The house is perfectly located in Kihei within walking distance of all kinds of shopping and dining. Nestled on a quiet street we felt very safe and had no issues.The back yard is everything and more that the VRBO photos show. The pool was spotless and the water temperature was just right. Having both a beautiful pool AND perfect access to the beach make this a very special place. We spent hours watching sunsets and turtles; a highlight for many of us. Quality beach chairs and toys were furnished and made time at the beach even better. Property manager is a sweetheart who genuinely cares about your enjoyment. Stay here! You won’t regret it!

Not to standard

We never ended up staying here but checked it out before our arrival. While we appreciate the flexibility to check out the location upon our arrival to the island and checking in, it wasn’t what we were looking for for our family vacation. The inside was clean but the outside was still pretty dirty. The pool was dirty, the pool chairs were dirty and 4 of the 6 were missing cushions along with several other factors. The front yard and side of the building was not in the best condition and dirty as well. The fountain out front did not work. Overall, it wasn’t a clean environment that would infuse relaxation. The beach access was nice and appreciated but there was a TON of trash located across the street where a homeless camp was set up only a few weeks before. The property manager was flexible in coordinating with us to meet with her assistant but took a long while to communicate and plan with. Upon hearing our dissatisfaction and that we were looking at other options, she offered additional properties but when notified we would like a refund, became very resistant and was unwilling to work on even a partial refund. We ended up staying at the Grand Wailea which ended up being the same price as this property and offered much more convenience, cleanliness, and overall a more pleasant experience.

Great Thanksgiving week in paradise

We had a fabulous week at South Beach Villa! We had two sets of grandparents, our family with two boys and our sister in law. We loved the location. Plenty of walkable restaurants and a cool food truck rodeo to walk to! We used the paddle boards and kayaks from the house for some fun on the water. We had sea turtles come to bask on the beach. We were a short drive to all the nice shops at Waleia and restaurants. I took the boys diving and we only had to drive 10 mins for the boat! We saw too many things to list here!! Janna and Carolyn were great! They connected us with Jess and Rob for amazing meals at the house! Also they connected us with Karen for all of our adventures! Can’t wait to see our family pictures out in front of the house!!

Beautiful private property in Kihei

Love the property. The location is great in Kihei, close to stores restaurants, etc. The house itself was great and the pool was large and clean. We saw sea turtles in the ocean every day and the area was very private/quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked with a large refrigerator that was more than adequate for a a large group. The house was spotless and check-in was very easy. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. Both Janna and Carolyn were extremely responsive in the lead up to our stay. On check in day Carolyn was there to hand over the house and give us a tour. The only hiccup on check in day was that the prior tenant apparently had taken off with the garage door opener. Janna obtained a new one in two days. Also during the stay there were some very minor maintenance issues that were dealt with very quickly. I can't say enough about how responsive the agents were. Overall, loved the property and the service. We all are lookng forward to returning in the future!

The property is as described. Great access to beach which was used alot, especially early a.m. Pool and hot tub received ALOT of use. Great kitchen and common spaces. A few early glitches were rapidly addressed. Kehei is great location for exploring Maui.

South Beach location

The home was everything it was made out to be. Very well equipped for outdoor activities which was fabulous and made the stay very enjoyable. The area had several small retail centers that offered good choices for casual dining and included a local grocery which was very helpful. High end dining and shopping was within 15 minute drive which met our needs. Highly recommend this unit and would use it on future trips to Maui.

Paradise!!!

Our group fell in love with this home as soon as we entered! We all paused in awe as we found ourselves looking straight through the living room, past the beautifully lit pool area, through the coconut grove, to an absolutely beautiful sunset over the ocean. The house is as beautiful as shown in the listing photos. There is a stunning view of the water from almost every room in the house! The outdoor area has a great layout, with multiple seating areas tucked around the pool and hot tub, and a space for everyone. We loved spending time out there! The bedrooms are a nice size, and four of the five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, which is good for a large group. Also, for our group of older adults, having several bedrooms on each level provided options for everyone, in terms of accessibility. We also liked the location; Kihei is not a crowded, “touristy” area, but it has everything you need, and it’s an easy walk or drive to most shopping,restaurants, activities and attractions. Our house manager Janna and her assistant were the best! They were friendly, responsive, and committed to making sure that our stay was perfect. The recommended concierge service was also excellent, making great suggestions, and helping set things up for us. All in all, it was wonderful. We would all recommend Janna and this house to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet retreat, and would absolutely return here!

Beautiful views!

This was an amazing property! My husband, two daughters, youngest brother, mom, and I all stayed here, and the adults all had rooms overlooking the ocean. We walked the beach almost daily and were gifted with seeing 4 turtles at one time! It was magical for all, and the grassy area was a short walk to a very private (yet public) beach. My daughters loved the pool and sitting in the hottub was an amazing way to watch the sunset. The property was close to Wailea (10 min drive) where we ventured for delicious food and shopping. We would happily stay here again.

Could be awesome

I'll begin my review by saying that the property management for this property is excellent. Janna was as helpful and responsive as could be. She met us at the house at checkin, reached out to us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed and was always a text or call away. The house was great with a couple of exceptions that had a big impact on our stay. First, it is well located, steps to the beach, walking distance to restaurants, shops and groceries. The layout of the house is great for a large group and the pool and spa were the best. The house needs major deep cleaning and better routine cleaning. When we checked in there was dust on all of the furniture and dust and dirt and hair on the floors especially in the corners and along the edges of the rooms. There is a large accumulation on the hard to reach ledges and furniture that appears to seldom be cleaned. the refrigerator had left over food and was dirty, really dirty. The kitchen ware was also dirty and we ended up running everything we used through the dishwasher or hand cleaned. There are items that need to be thrown away and replaced. The biggest issue however was the air conditioning. The main part of the house and the master bedroom are fine. The four bedrooms on the other side of the house became unbearable as the day went on. The air conditioning unit for this side of the house is completely inadequate. I would like to complete this review but I have run out of available characters. Limit is 1500

Beautiful Home in great spot that needs some attention

I would give the location 6 stars if I could as it was on the beach and across the street from shops and restaurants. The house itself is well laid out and quiet and the kitchen and outdoor grill surpassed our expectations. We had some issues with mechanical systems and endured no air conditioning for 4 of the 5 bedrooms for our entire stay but the owner reacted appropriately. The hot tub controls did not work properly. We arrived right after a major storm and the drains were clogged so the pool deck was a little slippery. Property Manager was available and responsive

Family of 10 loved the house and location!

We took our family of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) to Maui and loved the location and amenities of this house! It was right on the beach with sea turtles coming up every night. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub; but the pool heater and hot tub jets were not working so that was a little let down. But the home was beautiful and clean, they had beach chairs/umbrellas/toys for us made great recommendations for local excursions/golf/restaurants. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to come back.

Gorgeous beach villa!

The property is wonderful! Elegant furnishings, fantastic views and amazing outdoor living space. The coconut grove was breathtaking and the sandy beach had tons of turtles basking in the sun and swimming around. We loved walking to many restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores and most importantly, the beach. This is a dream house with a kitchen any chef would enjoy with everything you need to cook or barbecue. We loved the workout equipment in the garage and didn’t want our vacation to end. Our hostess, Janna, is so friendly, helpful and competent and she made sure our trip was perfect.

The Family Vacation of a Lifetime

This home met the expectations and requirements for all 10 of us. It was amazing to have all 10 of us comfortably seated at the dining room table. The best part of the property was the backyard that featured the large pool with waterfall hot tub. The ocean view was amazing. We could view the sunset each night from the backyard seating. A surprise was finding all of the snorkel gear, beach supplies and bogey boards. And our host, Janna, was always responsive and helpful.

Dan and Judy fell in love with this area on Maui and had to build their dream home on a beachfront lot that looked out all the way toward Sweetheart Rock and to the island of Lanai where they were married.

This is a rare large, beachfront home that not only has privacy, but a gorgeous coconut grove before you find yourself in the shallow, warm waters of Waihuli Beach. The expanse of sand stretches for miles in all directions!
