This beautifully decorated and cozy five-bedroom, three-bath cabin is the perfect place for a lake getaway with family or friends. Fully renovated in 2018, the property includes 160 feet of level elevation shoreline. And the cabin itself--which sits just 50 feet from the water's edge--has a wonderful open floor plan on the main level that features a combined living room, kitchen and dining room with a large fieldstone gas fireplace, vaulted ceilings and panoramic views of beautiful Lake Sylvan. The dining table seats 10, with additional indoor seating at the nearby kitchen island. The main level also features a master bedroom (king) with an attached bathroom with shower, two additional bedrooms (queens) with generous closet space and amazing views of the lake, and a second bathroom with shower/tub combo. The lower level features two additional sleeping areas, including one bedroom (queen) with views of the lake. The lower level also includes a third bathroom with double vanity and shower/tub combo, and a large great room with a sectional couch and big screen TV. A laundry room with washer, dryer, utility sink, and a second fridge/freezer can also be found on the lower level.

Outside you will find a large lakeside deck with rockers, a lakeside fire pit area just steps from the water (firewood included), outdoor dining area with propane grill (gas included), and a great sand beach. The rental comes complete with free use of 2 kayaks. In addition, a 2022 Bennington pontoon boat with 115 HP Yamaha motor is onsite and available for rental (send us a note to inquire about availability and rate). For those that need to stay connected, the cabin includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, three high definition smart TVs with internet access, and a Blu-Ray DVD player.

For those looking for a cabin experience with modern day comforts, the 2018 renovation brought all new finishes and mechanical systems, including: central air conditioning, stone counter tops, custom tile bathrooms, wood floors, new appliances, wine fridge, water softener and reverse osmosis drinking water system. The cabin is also fully furnished and includes all linens, kitchenware and essentials.

Located approximately 10 miles west of Brainerd/Baxter and just a couple miles from famed Gull Lake, Sylvan Lake is close to shopping, dining, recreation and entertainment, and is a convenient trip from Minneapolis/St. Paul (130 miles), Fargo/Moorhead (130 miles), and St. Cloud (70 miles). At just over 800 acres, Sylvan Lake is one of Minnesota's clearest lakes with a water clarity of 20 plus feet, and features a rolling, wooded shoreline. Sylvan Lake also sits on the doorstep of Pillsbury State Forest, Minnesota's first designated state forest.

During the summer months, this quiet recreational lake is perfect for fishing (known especially for its outstanding bass and pan fish), skiing, boating, kayaking, swimming, and all other water based activities. In fact, "keeper" pan fish and bass are regularly caught from the end of our dock. If you enjoy golf, Sylvan Lake sits just a few miles from Cragun's Legacy golf courses and Madden's The Classic/Pine Beach golf courses, which together offer over 100 holes of golf. If you'd rather spend your days biking, the nearby Pillsbury State Forest has mountain bike trails, and the Cuyuna Mountain Bike Trails are located just 20-30 miles from this property and offer 25 miles of mountain bike trails. Access the more leisurely Paul Bunyan Bike Trail--which offers over 120 continuously paved miles--just a few miles from our front door. All of these trails are known for providing amazing views of Minnesota fall colors. The Pillsbury State Forest also offers trails for horseback riding.

During the winter season, Sylvan Lake is great for ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and serves as a good base camp for accessing miles of cross country ski trails and groomed snowmobile trails in the area, including in Pillsbury State Forest. The cabin is also located just 15 miles from Mount Ski Gull, which offers winter downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing.
