Vacation May 2025

This was our third year staying at Destin West beach and bay resorts and third time booking with hosts of Coastal Vibes. Destin West is our favorite place to stay and this condo has been our favorite thus far! The sandpiper building is right in the center of it all for the best views. The ease of access to the lazy river pool off the lanai entrance was a big win for our crew! The access to both beach and bay side is what keeps us coming back year after year. The hosts are super informative and on top of things. Condo was very spacious and equipped indoor and outdoor with beach chairs/wagon included for your use if needed. Checking in and out was a breeze. Can't beat this location as it is close to all our favorite restaurants , shops and close enough if you want to venture into Destin for the day or even go to Navarre. We can't wait till next year!

Great rental!

First time renting for a month and we loved it! We both relaxed and had a ton of fun with friends /family! Coastal Vibe was great to work with. The condo worked great for us and met all of our needs. We will be back next year!

Beautiful and Convenient

We loved staying here! It was exactly like in the photos and the owners were very quick with responding with our questions both before our stay and during our stay (there were no questions asked after we left, but I’m positive that if there would have been, they would have been just as fast to reply). We would definitely recommend anyone to choose this condo!

Wonderful place!

You cannot be the location of this unit! The patio is perfect, and my family spent hours there! The grounds of this complex are kept up beautifully, every single day.

Great stay, but..

Overall, we really,really enjoyed our stay! We loved the location of our condo to the pools and lazy river! Going over to the beach was a decent walk and easily accessible. However, I highly recommend only visiting if you have a vehicle. We flew to Okaloosa and had no rental car. We Uber'd everywhere, which worked out okay. However, our check-out time was 10:00 am and our flight was not until 6:30pm. We requested late checkout but could not be accommodated for that. We checked with the front desk to see if we could leave our luggage there but since our condo was not managed by Destin West and we're originally told we could leave it there by one staff member, but then on the morning we were told we couldn't leave our luggage there either. We had small children and their was 6 of us total, it was a rough situation and hot. Then we got lucky and we're allowed to set it inside Wild Willy's while we waited there all day. The rest of the trip was good, but the last day was difficult. Definitely would take a vehicle next time or try to fly out much earlier in the day.

Martin spring break

We had an amazing time! The condo was perfect for our family ! Four kids ranging from 11 to 2! The walk to the lazy River and kids play area under shade! Priceless! Especially for ease of lunches or letting littles nap while watching the bigger ones on the patio. And still just minutes away from the beach going across the cat walk!

Rough start to the week

When we first go there we walked in and the maintenance man was there cause there was a leak that we were not told about. He said he fixed it and left. Also said he was there to fix the door that wouldn't lock.We went outside to check out the porch and found cigarette butts and the grill not being clean and the beach cart was missing. We left for dinner that night and came back and my 4 year old daughter walked by the AC/water heater closet and slipped in more water that had leaked and hit her head on the floor. Also found that the living room sliding door in fact would not stay locked. Contacted the owner and the maintenance man came back to shop vac the water out of the water heater. Didn't have any more water leaks but my daughter did have a rough couple days not feeling well. We did have a new beach card brought over and the cleaning people came back and cleaned but the boogie board some were broken. Over all after the first couple days things were fine and I liked the room. It was just rough worrying about my daughter not feeling well after falling and hitting her head from the water.

Great Stay!

We had an awesome week at our Coastal Vibe Condo. It was the perfect about of space for 8 people (4 kids). The kids loved the bunk bed and the beds were very comfy. We loved the open space and the huge patio outside. The pool choices and lazy river were amazing. It was nice to have options when taking the kids outside to swim. The palm trees provided so much privacy. We would stay again for sure! It was in tue perfect lactation with easy access to so many places!

Destin West is a great location to rent from. Bay on one side and beach on the other.

Great location in the Sandpiper L04 condo. We had a small problem with the grill on our first night. The response was immediate and the grill was replaced the next morning. That's customer service at it's best. The condo was perfect for our family and we enjoyed a great week of beach and pool time. I would rent this unit again without hesitation.

Needs some Attention

This was our second time staying at Destin West but our first in this condo, and we won't be back. The good: Getting to the condo was easy as it's right off the elevator on the 2nd floor. It was fully stocked, so we didn't have to buy much. The lazy river was just steps away from the condo, which is perfect when you have small kids. It would be great if the beach wasn't quite so far away, but the skybridge makes it so you don't have to cross a busy street to get there. The bad: When we first arrived, there were many fruit flies in the kitchen. Upon further inspection there was some food in the sink that wasn't cleaned after the last guests, which was bringing the fruit flies in. It's great that this condo has 2 bathrooms, but both toilets had urine on them that hadn't been cleaned. One of the showers had a used soap bar in it, so I'm assuming the shower wasn't cleaned either. I contacted Coastal Vibe Vacations, & they said they could send someone out to take care of both situations, but we were on vacation with children who nap, so we didn't want to have to worry about when someone would need to get in the condo. Before heading to the beach, we checked out the beach cart provided. One of the main things we needed was an umbrella since beach service was not provided. The base of the umbrella was completely rusted making it unusable, so we did have to go buy our own. Also, on the patio there was a section of mold that seemed to have grown on something that had not been cleaned up. In the middle of the night, one of the toilets was flushed & it made a terrible noise waking my whole family up. I flushed the toilet again in the morning, so I could send a video of the noise to Coastal Vibe. They did send someone out to fix the issue, & it didn't happen again. A few days later, the smoke detector in one of the bedrooms started beeping because a battery needed replaced, so we had to take that down as there weren't any extra batteries in the unit. The WiFi stopped working about halfway through our trip. Coastal Vibe had us try something that didn't work, so they offered to send someone out. We declined the offer. However, on our last full day there, they went ahead & sent someone out anyway to fix it. She was very nice, but we know they did this because they were to have new guests arriving the next day. Coastal Vibe Vacations was very response & helpful, but it was ridiculous that we had this many problems on our one week stay.
