Beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay! House was comfortable and well maintained. Location by the creek was incredible! Multiple places to relax and enjoy the sounds and sights! Would love to come back!

Perfect location in the mountains

I spent a week at thisbeautiful house and fell in love with the house and location. So secluded, quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be going back.

Relaxing Getaway

The property and land are beautiful. We enjoyed amenities such as the pool table and volleyball net, but most of all we really enjoyed just sitting next to the river and enjoying the peaceful surroundings! The house was cozy and comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!.

Beautiful peaceful river

We loved the peaceful river/creek and cute interior. Badminton was nice and morning bull moose visits were splendid . They need a working coffee maker or French press snd back yard patio area was terribly overgrown and needed to removed broken chairs multiple outside.

Nice vacation home

Overall the property was quite nice. Very spacious and roomy. Nice being by the river. Weather prevented us from sitting by the river as much as we would have liked, but we enjoyed it when we could. Nice location. Lots of games/pool table etc, if you want to take advantage of those activities.

Winter Wonderland!

We had such a great time at Lucky U that it was hard for us to leave on check out day! It was the perfect location for us to have a White Christmas. The kids had a great time sledding and building snow people in the yard. The house was the perfect size and very well equipped with everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back during a different time of year and enjoy the house and grounds again!

Great mountain getaway

The home had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The pool table was a big hit with my family. Many hours were spent playing pool. The yard was great with the creek. The home had plenty of dishes and cookware. We had fun sharing recipes with each other. Enjoyed the Rocky Mountains National Park while we were there. Spent a couple of days shopping/eating in Estes Park.

Great Property

Place was amazing. Did some fly fishing on the creek that runs through the property. Sat outside on the large back deck and watched the turkey vultures circle overhead. The sound of the creek at night with the windows open was amazing. Played pool, darts and horseshoes. Close trips to Boulder and Estes. House had all the things we needed for a college reunion. Could not have been more satisfied.

Perfect vacation

This was the perfect place for my family!!! We have 3 daughters their 3 spouses our grandson and 1 dog we all met at this beautiful house plenty of space for parking and plenty of space to spread out. My family enjoyed horseshoe throwing ,volleyball,playing in the water ,exploring, playing pool in the evenings and my grandson loved practicing casting his pole.The entire family had a great week together!!! We will for sure be back and hopefully we can stay in this beautiful home again.The hosts were GREAT!!! They were quick to answer every question and very easy to work with.This is for sure our favorite place we have stayed on a vacation!!! Iwould recommend this place 110%!!! I can't say enough great things about this property!!!

Amazing location!

The property is amazing. It was close to Boulder, Estes Park, RMNP. The house is well stocked with kitchen supplies. The game room is super fun and can provide hours of entertainment. The kids were sad there was only one TV but the adults enjoyed that! We had four adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of room. The only downfall was the cleanliness of the house. The house needs a good deep clean. The house wasn't clean when we arrived. However when I mentioned it to the owner, she was quick to respond and apologized and refunded our cleaning fee. Her responsiveness was greatly appreciated but especially during COVID, it was concerning to not have the house cleaned.

We are so glad you guys had a great time at the Lucky U mountain house! I know we addressed this together, but just to have it here too, we were so sorry about the house not being perfectly clean to the level we expect! We had a very tricky time with a new cleaner this summer unfortunately. We are incredibly blessed to have a new, extraordinary cleaner at the property now and have had only rave reviews since! So sorry our previous cleaner impacted your stay and yes, I was very happy to refund your cleaning fee ;)

Beautiful and Peaceful

My family stayed here due to my niece getting married in Lyons. We had an after the wedding get together at this house the day after and everyone was awed by the views and peacefulness of this property. I took so many pictures and plan to paint some of them. The only set back to the property is that you have to time showers and only 1 load of laundry a day - we are assuming this was due to septic tank. Otherwise the property was WONDERFUL

Beautiful and relaxing stay

We totally enjoyed our stay. The house is big with plenty of space. It is nicely furnished also. We had a blast playing pool in the evening. And the surrounding of mountains and river provides complete privacy.

Private & Peaceful

This house was perfect for a family vacation with our 3 adult children. Huge spaces for family dinners, hanging out and games but also plenty of spaces for everyone to get a break from the group. The kitchen and house overall were well equipped. We made good use of the pool table and dart board too. The property the house sits on is so nice and the chairs by the creek were a family favorite. We had a young moose come right up to the deck our first morning and hang around in the pasture for hours. Grocery shop before you get there because the closest grocery is a 30-35 minute drive to Estes. My only complaint is that house could use a good deep clean, I had to wipe down counters, toilet-seats, etc. but found the products there to tidy up before we settled in. Overall a fantastic stay and we’d book this property again.

Great location

We loved the house, it was just as pictured. Fully stocked with everything needed for cooking. About halfway between Lyons and estes park. We loved the access to both. We even enjoyed the available games and sitting by the stream in the chairs that were provided.

Beautiful setting

The setting was wonderful. Secluded, yet close enough to places like Estes Park, Nederland, Lyons and many hiking trails. We enjoyed sitting by the river and relaxing. Having the windows open at night and falling to sleep to the sound of the river was great too. Kelly was easy to get ahold of when needed. The house fit our needs and the game room helped on some of the rainy days. There were a few issues with the cleaning and we were short some towels but Kelly was easy to work with on those. I would definitely recommend this place to people. Will also watch for the opening of their next cabins.

Lots of room and lots of things to enjoy.

This was a great place to stay. There were a lot of things to do for the entire family. We loved sitting by the river which was very close to the house. We played volleyball and pool. It was the perfect secluded home with plenty of room for everyone.

Great Property

This is a GREAT property. The home and property feel very private. Saint Vrain Creek running through the front yard has to be the highlight. I spent time everyday trout fishing and caught several brown trout just 50 ft from the front door. Our grandkids had a great time exploring the property and spending time at the creek. The location is outstanding!!! Away enough to feel private, but only 15minutes from the Wild Basin entrance and a 30 minute drive from Estes Park. The house was exceptionally clean and very well stocked with everything needed for our family group of 8 for an entire week. We had one rainy day and really enjoyed the gameroom with pool table. The check-in/check-out procedures were simple, and the host promptly replied to all questions. I find it hard to believe anyone would give this property less than 5 stars. This is our 4th stay in the Estes Park area and this was by far our favorite property.

Relaxing and beautiful experience

Owners have thought of everything. Gamez for adults and children plenty of blankets, pillows and anything you may need. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The listing of local amenities was very helpful. The property is just gorgeous. Absolutely the experience we were wanting.

We are a family of 4 (plus puppy!) that bought and are now sharing our dream mountain property! We live down the road in Boulder and enjoy the retreat of the Mountain House with family and friends often. While Boulder life involves elementary and middle school, work, sports, schedules and general business, the Mountain house is a much needed respite from the noise! Mom (Kelly) is an artist, Dad (Don) is a recovering lawyer now in the restaurant industry, and kiddos (P & R) are simply awesome.

You'll know from the minute you get there! The 2.5 acres of riverfront give a constant backdrop of soothing, bubbling happiness to play around on, or sit and sip by. There's a large field in the front with new volleyball posts for your selection of games. There are 2 large decks to hang, grill and lounge on. Then...there's the 4 bedroom house (including bunk room and pool table lounge) that we've meticulously redone to give the right sense of cabin chic!

Hellooo tipi! As a birthday surprise, my husband installed a gorgeous tipi, unveiled 2 summers ago by a crew of our friends to my delighted squeals! So in the summer, you now have an outdoor sleeping/lounging/storytelling/pretend-you-live-in-a-tipi option in an aspen grove by the river!
