After that I'm considering 30+ day rentals. If interested please send an inquiry and I will update the quote.

All 4 bedrooms have new upgrades and 3 bathrooms were just renovated.

We require a 30-night minimum. It never hurts to ask so if you have questions, please send me a message. I try to answer within 24 hours.

This house, Towering Pines Lodge is a bright, sunny home in the popular Gardner Mountain/Camp Richardson Area. Only 6 miles from the Stateline casinos and Heavenly Ski Resort. Spend your next vacation in our 4 bedroom/3 bathroom, super cozy and fully stocked house. The house has been renovated and has way too many amenities to list: modern mountain decor, hardwood floors, carpet in bedrooms, tiled and upgraded bathrooms, Fine Art thought the house, updated furniture, fresh linens & towels, a Private Hot Tub(new 11-2023), fenced back yard and Free WiFi.

Details:
Towering Pines Lodge has 2 MASTER SUITES. The main Master is the only room upstairs and is a specious 500 square feet. The other 3 Bedrooms/2 Baths are on the ground level.

A 280 square foot deck is in the FULLY FENCED backyard where there is Private Hot Tub(new one installed 11-2-23) and Free firewood. Summer only - outdoor table seating for 6 people, a gas barbecue, Horse-shoe Pit

Towering Pines Lodge is located on a quiet street in Gardner Mountain, bordering National Forest with trees towering above. We are only steps from miles of trails for summer and winter endless fun; Take you dog for walks in the woods, Cross Country ski, snow shoe, hike, bike from our back yard. We also have paved bike trails to the BEST beaches of Lake Tahoe: Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach , Kiva Beach, which is the only dog beach, Camp Richardson that has the The Grove (Beacon-formally known as) Beach Bar & Grill Restaurant , and we are very close to the beautiful Fallen Leaf Lake.

The house, Towering Pines, is an easy drive to Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Kirkwood, Sierra at Tahoe, Emerald Bay, Edgewood, and the Casinos. Map Gardner Mountain South Lake Tahoe.

The Living room has a Wood-burning Fireplace for those cold winter nights. The entertainment center has a large flatscreen TV offering Cable TV service and DVD. There is also a selection of movies and a boardgames for kids and adults.

The dining/kitchen area is furnished with a roomy dining table which seats six. The kitchen features Granite counter tops, a side by side refrigerator with door icemaker/water dispenser, gas range w/ oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and dishwasher. We stock too many kitchen essentials to list them all, but to list a few: coffee, filters, tea, sugar, spices, olive oil, mayo, mustard, & much, much more.

We have a HEATED, two car garage(second hooded car must be smaller~15') with direct access from the house’s interior. (Great for those snowy days when you don't want to unload your skis/snowboard or scrape ice from your windshield!) There is a washer/dryer available in the garage for guest use with soap provided.

Great stay in great area

Well represented in pictures. On quiet deadend street, huge pine trees and close to Heavenly, what more could you want. The hot tub was a great treat nearly every night!

Perfect family getaway!

The house has everything we needed. The 3 bathrooms worked perfectly for getting ready in the morning. Great proximity to skiing, walks along the lake and walks with our dog! Couldnt ask for more.

Wonderful house in a quiet, lovely neighborhood

This was a delightful getaway spot. The house is great, the neighborhood is quiet and charming, and it's a quick drive to stores and restaurants while still being tucked away from noise and traffic. Also the fenced-in yard made it really easy to have a dog there. Our family loved it and will definitely be back.

Great Winter Trip - highly recommended

Our family of 6 had a great stay at Marcus’s place! The house easily fit our group and was perfect for a long trip in the winter. The neighborhood is quiet and the street was picturesque with the winter snow. Marcus was easy to communicate with throughout and helpful any time an issue came up during the stay. We would definitely stay again!

Great House and Location!

We recently stayed here for five days, four nights. It was a great house in a great location. The house was comfy and roomy. It had all the amenities of home. The owners are easy to work with and quick to get a hold of if necessary. You stay in a nice area that is close to everything from Heavenly to the Casinos (always take a cab though). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Love Towering Pines!

We came to Lake Tahoe for our son's wedding & stayed at Towering Pines for a week. It was truly a memorable vacation! We loved the layout of the house and the proximity to restaurants & things to do. The dead end street was quiet & a short walk to access beautiful hiking trails. The owners were very nice & responsive. We can't wait to return to beautiful South Lake Tahoe & Towering Pines!

clean and comfortable, hot tub small and limited hot water.

House was clean and comfortable with great beds. Location was good. Hot tub was very small and not very private at all. There was four of us and we could not all take a shower after a day of snow boarding due to the lack of hot water. I recommend this location other than these things.

Great Vacation

Towering Pines is a beautiful home in a friendly neighborhood surrounded by that fresh Tahoe pine smell. This home is immaculate, well stocked, with lots of room for your items. Beds and couches are very comfortable. The fenced in yard is great for kids and pets. Enjoy morning coffee or afternoon cocktails on the beautiful back deck. The addition of a garage is a plus to store coolers, umbrellas, beach chairs, snow & ski equipment, or bikes. The location is great for all seasons with access to ski areas, beaches, nightly entertainment, shopping, and restaurants. The owner is very friendly and helpful if you have any needs! We're already looking forward to our next visit! .

Quiet location great for our hiking

The house was located in a quiet area (except for the nearby road construction) and adequately served all of our needs. The few minor problems were addressed and did not affect our stay. We were part of a large hiking group and the house was located quite near our chosen hikes. The fenced back yard gave us a sense of privacy and the jacuzzi was just what we needed after our hikes. For the most part we cooked in, although we did stop at a few restaurants after our hikes. Our favorite was Lake Tahoe Pizza. We would choose to stay there again if we ever get back to Lake Tahoe.

Many thanks for all the extras that you put in your home that makes it soo comfortable. We enjoyed our five days there so much, that we contemplated even coming home so soon. We all had plenty of room and our dog Carson was enjoying all the walks everyday. He also enjoyed being able to make friends with Sammy! Thank you for allowing dogs at your home. Many beautiful memories!

Nice cabin on a dead end street

We stayed over New Year's 2012 and enjoyed our stay quite a bit. The house is well maintained and has lots of nice little extras like shampoo, condition in the bathrooms and spices in the kitchen. The home is in a great location about 10 minutes from downtown. Its at the end of dead end street so it's nice and quiet and there are also trails at the end of street. We also had the opportunity to meet one of the home owners at the gallery they own in town. Lovely woman and a really special gallery with great art by Dr. Seuss.

Towering Pines is a Treasure

My family has enjoyed our stay at Towering Pines for many years! It is an immaculate, well stocked, home in a quiet neighborhood close to all Lake Tahoe has to offer! Enjoy the peace and quiet of sipping coffee or wine on the back deck of the fenced in yard surrounded by beautiful pine trees! For more adventure, check out the many nearby activites! Within minutes you can access Pope Beach, Camp Richardson, many restaurants, Heavenly Ski area, bike rentals, fabulous hiking areas, Stateline Shops and Casinos, or even the grocery store. The owner is helpful, friendly, and responds quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. I highly recommend this home for your Lake Tahoe vacation! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Just like home

This house is absolutely amazing. We had a great time there. Just some advice though, before you hit the grocery store I would go to the house first and see what is already there. There is alot of community food that people leave behind that we did not know about. Also the location is awesome!!!! We had a fantastic time, and I am ready to go back even though I just got back yesterday. LOL! I highly recommend. You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!! Oh the wifi is a little slow, and cell service is spotty but all the better to get away from it all.

Favorite spot in South Lake Tahoe!!!

We rented Towering Pines for four weeks, February to March 2024. I don't want to write a good review because I don't want to share this fantastic property!! Seriously though...Marcus is wonderful to rent from. Fixed a couple of maintenance items as soon as we let him know about them. Several feet of snow fell during our stay and he was out there with his snow blower clearing the driveway and front porch every few hours. Yes, he lives next door, but who cares. If your following the rules of the rental agreement what does it matter. We really liked that the primary bedroom is above the garage away from anyone making noise in the living room. Plenty of towels! Stocked with all the basic needs in the kitchen - soap, paper towels, community pantry with spices, lots of pots/pans, cooking utensils etc. Sleds in the garage. Full size washer/dryer. Lots of firewood for the wood burning stove. Our favorite part is the neighborhood. Regular walks to Fallen Leaf Lake, quiet neighbors, on a dead end street so the road isn't busy. Only 15 minutes to Heavenly. The fully fenced in backyard was key to have with our dog, who loved the snow. The hot tub was fantastic to get in after a day of snowshoeing, or skiing. We'll be back next year!!!

Perfect home for family

We had the pleasure of staying in this home for a week, and would DEFINATELY recommend it to anyone looking for a home-away-from home. The house was awesome, but let me start with the owners first. We felt very lucky to have them right next door, and they made themselves available numerous times for anything we needed, from borrowing their lawn chairs for a trip to the lake to coming over and showing me how to turn the oven on (even though it interrupted their own dinnertime!!). Prior to arriving I had made numerous calls to them and always got an immediate response to whatever question I had. We brought our labrador on vacation with us, and she rally enjoyed their new puppy tremendously - they had a great time playing in the yard together! It felt like we had family members right next door. The house was perfect. It was spotless - extremely clean and well-supplied with linens, toiletry items, and everything you would need to feel at home. We had a large group of family members from different parts of the country who had come to town for the Marathon, and the accommodations could not have been better. The home has two master bedrooms, with one being separate from the main living area which offered complete quiet and privacy for those retiring early. All of the beds were very comfortable, and each room had plenty of closet space, dressers, and son on. The family room was spacious and cozy, and the dining room sat 7 comfortably, making for great family time at each meal. The kitchen was large, allowing for lots of group cooking and visiting! Also of note is the great location - it felt like we were 10 minutes from EVERYTHING! The lake, restaurants, casinos, groceries, and gas were literally minutes away - yet the street the home is on is quiet and beautiful with friendly people all around it. This is a perfect vacation rental and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a house that feels like home from the minute you walk in. Thanks for making it the perfect week for our very large family!

Beautiful Getaway

Towering Pines is a well maintained home filled with everything you need for your vacation. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has all essentials, and there is a fenced in yard. You have access to a washer and dryer in the garage as well. This home is located in a beautiful, quiet, charming neighborhood with easy access to beaches, skiing, shopping, hiking, biking, casino night life, or the many other adventures offered in South Lake Tahoe. We love our precious time at Towering Pines.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Wish I would have read the negative reviews first. The owners live next door. Not advertised. We came for a celebration, peace, fun & privacy. Got none of that. Just stress & uneasiness. The creeper next door was either in the yard of the property we were leasing everyday with his barking dog, antagonizing my dogs, or he was staring at my wife & I every time we either left or came back if he wasn’t staring at the house while we were inside. The first night we arrived, I got a text from the owner “hoping that we made it fine,” but really wanted to tell us that our dogs were barking & to say that they “hope the neighbors don’t mind.” My response, “If you’re standing outside the house they are probably hearing you right now & that’s why they are barking.” I also mentioned that we stepped out for a minute & were heading back. The owner text back, “I took my dog out- (your dogs) probably heard her. Just giving a heads up- neighbors may or may not be as understanding.” My dogs were not barking after returning. Besides the creeper next door with the barking dog, the neighbors also had barking dogs & off leashes in the street. Apparently it is one of those, “it’s okay for us, but not for you” situations. Actually my dogs did not bark for the rest of the trip. I should have been more concerned when booking this reservation as the owner, Marcus, --although I stated that I have great reviews on VRBO & A-I-R B&B with my dogs -- said that he has been burned once before with dog owners & hinted at astronomically increasing the pet fee. Each day the guy next door kept walking his dog off the leash in front of the house staring at the house & us. I almost hit his dog in the street while off the leash while driving (guy was in the driveway next door). As I was backing up the truck, he would not stop staring. I got out & stared back. All he mumbled was, “How’s it going?” I did a little digging & discovered that the owner/owners live next door & also own an art shop by Heavenly. The creeper next door is Marcus, the owner. There were 2 reviews regarding this issue. The owner’s response was “Each year we invite 30 to 50 families stay in our home, they never felt that way” & “Most of our guest like the owner to be in a close proximity.” No they don’t. & this is 1 more guest who feels THAT way. It doesn’t matter if there are 50 or 1,000 guests; you have made 1 guest feel that way & now another & it was a problem before & continues to be one. We left one day early.

Fantastic location!!

The house was spotless when we arrived. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The trees in the backyard are gorgeous. Lots of stores right down the road so you don't have to fight with traffic in South Lake Tahoe. We were pleasantly surprised to figure out we could walk to Fallen Leaf Lake. We had to run out and get ice cleats but it was so worth it. Having the hot tub was a bonus after a four mile walk (2 miles out and back from lake). Neighborhood is very quiet. Lots of people out walking their dogs. It was nice having the primary bedroom on the second floor all on its own, very quiet. Even though the short term rental permit is up in April, we will definitely consider coming back for a longer stay.

This sweet place was very clean and comfortable. I loved that shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were provided in all the bathrooms. There was a well-stocked kitchen of dishes, glasses, and basics for cooking like spices and condiments. The hot tub was sweet, and the backyard was perfect for our dogs. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for people wanting to stay in Tahoe.

South Lake Tahoe House

Loved the house, clean place, and great location! The outdoors was awesome and peaceful. We liked that grocery stores are close by. The owner was very nice and helpful.

We know how important the details are to create a wonderful vacation experience. I have worked hard making 'Towering Pines Lodge' a retreat for your next vacation to South Lake Tahoe. This house is perfect for a couple or you can fill every pillow to the max, 9 people. Either way, for the price, I can not imagine what else you would need to make your vacation better. Our house is clean, casual, cozy and perfect for your next vacation:) Enough about us...rent our house!!

It is loaded with everything you need for a vacation! You can Cross Country Ski, Bike, Hike or Snow Shoe right here, out our back door - without driving. Our neighborhood is wonderful. We are in the forest and we live on a deadend street, but we are only a short drive to the Casinos, Heavenly, Stateline, NV.

The private hot-tub is a great edition to Towering Pines Lodge. Imagine yourself in the dark of night with 1000's of stars sparkling above, in silence all while sitting in 104 degree, bubbling water. Ahhhh, so sweet:)

There are many US Forest Service trails at the end of the street to the Best Beaches of Tahoe, Fallen Leak Lake, Camp Richardson, and the Beacon. In the winter there is even a groomed track for snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

It is rare to find a house like ours for this price. The house is loaded with all the comforts to make your vacation wonderful. The house is super, super Cozy AND Clean which is a tough find for a South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. Many of our clients have rented our house over and over again.
