If you are looking for a beautiful home all on one level, this is it! Wide open main area with beautifully renovated kitchen, brand new appliances, spacious dining and living areas, large windows that overlook the Bijou Golf Course - it's the perfect setting for relaxation.

The kitchen, with granite countertops, new appliances, and cabinets, sits in the middle of the main living making it command central. The living area has plush sofas, loveseats, gas fireplace and a flat screen TV. The deck has a brand new Weber BBQ and gorgeous views. The house has new hardwood floors, carpet in the bedrooms, renovated bathrooms, and new furnishings.

Down the hall are two bedrooms with a hall bathroom. The first bedroom has a twin trundle bed (sleeps two). The second bedroom has a queen bed. At the end is the master bedroom with queen bed, private full bath and its own flat screen TV.
2 Car Garage and ample driveway parking.
Located in the quiet part of the Bijou neighborhood, there is easy access to everything. Shopping and restaurants are just down the street. Heavenly and the downtown nightlife are approximately 2.5 miles away.
2 garage is empty and available for parking - bonus when it's snowing or raining! Driveway is plowed after snow.

Excellent location and extremely clean, well maintained property. Beautiful yard and outdoor space. Not gonna find a bigger or cleaner rental in Tahoe for the price.

Superb location.

Fantastic stay at this location, less that 10mins to Heavenly ski resort. Really well equiped accommodation with loads of pots, pans & baking trays. Highly recommended.

Nice, cozy, and convenient

We stayed for a week and everything was great... Super cute house in a nice, quiet neighborhood - close to all of the good spots and conveniences :) thanks Emma for a wonderful vacation :)

Excellent Property

There is nothing but praise for the property, amenities, accommodations, and location. The location off the golf course offered up rare views of wildlife including birds, bunnies, squirrels, coyotes and several California brown bears. The property is located within an easy 1/2 mile walk to the lake and Safeway Grocery store and 3/4 mile to several very good restaurants including McDuff's and Sedellis Brewery. The property is relatively flat for easy neighborhood walks and lovely neighbors to chat with. Emma was the consummate host and our stay from the end of June through to the middle of September was everything we could hope for in the beautiful South Lake Tahoe basin. Thank you again, Emma for sharing your lovely home. Bonnie & John

Great home away from home

All the comforts of home with quick access to Heavenly, restaurants and nightlife. We stayed for two months and the host was great about getting back to us with any questions or needs. Would definitely recommend!

A journy to paradice

It was everything we had hoped for and more. Location was perfect a nice quite neighborhood, close to the ski area and the sun shinned every day. It was the best!! .

Great spot

Great spot in South Tahoe. Great communication too. We went during the wildfires of 2021 which was a real bummer. But our host and house were great! Be aware that there is not A/C (as of our stay) but it was NOT AN ISSUE at all. Even though we stayed in August and had to keep the windows shut due to the smoke we never felt warm. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone based on the location, the host and the home. Thanks again for letting us use your wonderful home.

Excellent rental.

We had the best time staying at Emma’s VRBO. Her home is very warm and inviting and is in an excellent location. We were able to walk to restaurants, the lake and a fun wine bar. The kitchen is very large and had all the items we needed for cooking/cleaning. The house pretty much had everything we could even imagine needing. Fan, kiddie pool, games, extras blankets, large amount of towels, washing machine and dryer plus much much more. Emma was very responsive and answered all my questions promptly. I do suggest bringing bug spray for the mosquitos (citronella candles were located outside which was a huge plus). The backyard is beautiful! We had some fun and relaxing outdoor meals on the grass/deck. Can’t wait to stay again!

Perfect location for family visit

We couldn’t have been happier. The home and Emma are welcoming and responsive. The kitchen is an example of how a rental kitchen should be sourced and organized! We loved having the meadow out back. Greenery to enjoy and coy dog symphony at night. We will be back regularly I hope .

Comfortable stay

The house was very nice and comfortable. My sisters complained of a smell, but I never noticed it. Beds were very comfortable with nice sheets. The pillows were a little flat, but worked fine doubled over. Great central location to all of the places you would like to see in Tahoe. Easy entry and so nice to have a garage to park in. Nice patio area to sit and enjoy the sun and the little bunnies that came by to visit. Emma was very responsive to emails and was kind and easy to work with. Only thing I would recommend is to re-word the rules listed on the wall. It seemed a little threatening and we were all paranoid during our visit not to make any mistakes. I know how important it is to have rules clearly stated, but something about the way it was worded just hit us wrong.

Convenient, close to shopping, activities but needs better cleaning

The home was the perfect size for our family however cleanliness was of concern when we arrived. Perhaps the home had been vacant for some time as it could have used a thorough cleaning prior to our arrival. Or it wasn’t cleaned very well from the previous stay. The window sills had dust, dead bugs and there seemed to be a lot of debris around the perimeter of the home. We noticed quite a few large ants in and around the home so that made us a little uneasy as we saw them inside the home. The patio furniture was very dirty and the tables and chairs needed to be cleaned before using as well as the deck needed a good sweeping. Bath/hand towels and washcloths: I feel that more towels should been provided for our 4 night stay, group of 6. We had to wash them as very few were provided and using the same towel for 4 days was not ideal. Other than that, the home had a nice layout and was close to the areas in which we visited. Had the cleaning and towel issues been met, all would’ve been perfect.

The property was very inviting

This home was exactly what we were wanting. The owner was extremely accommodating and the home was beautiful. I wanted to stay so much longer. The home is also very well situated in Tahoe. Close to just about everything.

Nice Home, Centrally Located

This is a nice home, recently remodeled, near Heavenly and the lake. The property is as described with an open floor plan, a large yard, and a nice deck and BBQ. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, knives, pots, pans, and some baking dishes and utensils. There are no condiments beyond salt and pepper, so you will need to bring your own. The bedrooms are fine but on the small side. There is a washer and dryer in the garage and you are able to park you car there if you choose. Emma was very responsive to our questions.

House is awesome! Location is best IMO!

We arrived Thursday afternoon - house was clean and ready for us (4 adults). House has everything you need from kitchen to bathroom to bedroom items. Location was great. We found a Safeway for groceries about 3 minutes away and you are about 5 minutes from state line. I also loved the fact owner pays for fast internet and good TV package. Honestly, I felt like it was my home and I didn't want to leave. If you stay here, I am very sure you won't regret it. Thanks Emma for opening your home to us!

Such a great home!

This is our second time staying at this home. It's beautiful, spacious, super clean and has a huge yard! We have enjoyed both our stays here and hope to stay here again in the future. The heater is a bit loud and it cranks! We mostly used the gas fireplace instead and that seemed to warm us up just fine. I would definitely recommend this home for people with families. My son had such a great time playing in the snow in the yard. Emma is very easy to work with and her home is so accommodating. It has everything you'll need !

Just the best!

Our family of 6 spent a week in this fabulous home and had the time of our lives! The location could not be better...close to EVERYTHING...beaches, hiking trails, golf, shopping. The house itself is wonderful...everything you need is at hand. The owner is very friendly and her response time was very timely. We highly recommend this fine South Lake Tahoe home!

Nice Vacation Home

The pictures are beautiful but better in person. The home had an open layout and was roomy. Nice, large, open kitchen and backyard deck with a wrap-around bench and great views of the golf course. Close walk to Safeway, restaurants, beach. We will definitely stay in this comfortable home away from home.

Beautiful home with horrible internet

While we would like to a five star review for this property, the exception will be such that the Internet was absolutely intolerable! Before we booked our reservation, we had specifically verified the Internet was available and would be without disruption. Upon our arrival, we noted that NO Internet connection was available, had to use our phone hotspot during our first 3 weeks of a monthly stay. After repeated calls to the Internet company, we had no Internet for nearly 3 weeks, waited for appointments for 7 separate times, had been stood up 4 (no shows) of the 7 times promised while waiting all day instead of being out enjoying the great outdoors Tahoe has to offer. The Internet in this home is not as promised and the constant down time had taken peaceful moments from our activities to fix problems that should have been verified prior to our stay. After repeated calls to the Internet company and constant excuses, I had elected to fix the cable connection myself by removing the modem and associated cables, relocating the equipment to another room. Never had an issue after I had relocated the equipment. Unfortunately for the Internet company who stood us up on many service calls, all it took was a little troubleshooting by removing the equipment from the defective wall jack and the problem would have been resolved. We trusted in the competence of this company only to find that our own very basic skills will outlast even the professionals. The home is pleasant and the owner did make an effort to compete with other offers. The Kitchen is stocked with plenty of plates, glasses and silverware... but nothing to cook with except a few older and very limited cooking pans/pots. Kitchen cooking gear definitely needs improvement if you are seeking someone who has the right utensil and pans. Overall, this property is a good property to stay with for either long term or short term... our only issue for our entire stay was the "Internet".

owner is easy to work with. house is extremely clean. house is 3 mins away from heavenly gandola and couple of minutes away from the lake. will definitely rent this place again!
