Welcome to Fox Loop Cabin, managed by Carolina Mountain Vacation Homes
A trusted, family-owned business proudly serving Maggie Valley and Waynesville travelers since the early 1990s.

Built in 1986 and thoughtfully updated, Fox Loop Cabin offers a blend of rustic mountain charm and modern comfort. Nestled in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, this inviting log cabin is perfect for couples, families, or groups up to eight guests seeking an authentic mountain getaway.

THE SPACE

This cozy cabin features:
• 4 bedrooms total — 3 full bedrooms + 1 small bonus room with 2 twin beds
• Bedding: 1 king, 2 queens, and 2 twins
• 2 full bathrooms
• Vaulted ceiling living room with a wood-burning fireplace
• Fully equipped kitchen with cookware, dishes, utensils, drip coffee maker and Keurig
• Washer and dryer
• New wood flooring in bedrooms

RELAXATION & OUTDOOR LIVING

Take in long-range mountain views of Plott Balsam from the grand covered porch, complete with comfortable outdoor seating.
Unwind in the five-seat hot tub, or gather around the fire pit for s’mores and conversation.
The peaceful mountain setting is complemented by an indoor view of the mountains through the vaulted living room windows.

ACCESS & TRAVEL NOTE

From November 1 through April 30, a four-wheel drive vehicle is required due to possible snow or icy conditions. Guests are responsible for towing costs if stuck. Motorcycle access is limited—please inquire in advance.

Home was comfy. Hot tub was perfect. View was beautiful. Roads there were not for the faint of heart. Breaker kept flipping off when you used the microwave. Area is a nature lovers dream.

The view from the porch is absolutely stunning! The house is very clean and spacious. You definitely need a 4WD. We have a F250 super duty and it was a process to get up the last part of the mountain. It’s a 90 degree turn and a 5 point turn in the truck plus the road is VERY narrow our tires hung over the road. Which was nerve racking. Only one vehicle up/down at a time. So if someone else is coming the opposite direction someone’s backing up. Also area to park is extremely small for larger vehicles. But other than the road up our trip was amazing. I’d come back just for the view and the porch!! Hot tub was a major plus

Fox Loop Getaway

We had four generations here for a four-day stay. Beds were a little soft and most were very high for my 88 yr old mom, but the view and location made up for it. Wonderful porch for hanging out, even in the rain. Great location for short hikes together, especially with my grandson.

Magical Deck

We were there for a girls trip to unwind destress and catch up. The house provided all we needed (dont miss that detail about TP, like we did). The deck does not disappoint. We had brunch out there one morning, enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and coffee in the rockers is a must. We played a ruthless game of Uno at the dining table and borrowed some books from the house library. We had a great time explorying Haywood County and we found the Train Station!

Christmas visit

Our family gathered from Hawaii, Colorado, and South Carolina at this beautiful property. We loved being able to do all the activities of home such as cooking meals and all sitting around the same table to eat them and then play games together. The wood fireplace was a wonderful Addition and the large back deck has an amazing view. Make sure that if there is any hint of wintry weather when you have booked your stay that you have a four-wheel-drive or you will not get into the property. We had to backtrack and stay at the Best Western in Maggie Valley until things melted off the next day. But even that was a positive experience with comfortable rooms and free breakfast. We will definitely use Carolina Mountain Vacation properties in the future when looking for a vacation rental.

Beautiful and Relaxing

A few times a year, my best girl friends and our pups like to go on a cabin trip to relax and craft. We always try different places but this is our favorite! The view is beautiful and the porch is amazing. We only had 3 chairs at the table outside which was weird and made it a little annoying with 4 of us wanting to eat together on the porch. Rooms were great, although the front bedroom is very small (lightswitch outside bedroom and only room for a small side table). The chairs and fire pit was perfect and we loved not having a ton of stairs. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Wish the fridge had an ice maker with water in the door, so we were glad we brought drinks. Had an amazing time, host was great, will definitely be back. Oh and we saw an elk on our way to breakfast today!! Amazing!

Great relief from the heat!

We very much enjoyed our time in Maggie Valley at this cabin. The porch and the view are spectacular and we greatly appreciated the quiet atmosphere and rest that the place affords. One of our favorite cabins we have rented so far in the area.

April 17th - 21st

We come up to Maggie Valley every year at the end of april for the Minitruck Nationals car show. This cabin fit our needs/wants and was overall great. Hot tub was wonderful and we really loved the big back porch. When we first arrived we didn't have any toliet paper but one quick phone call to paul and it was fixed in 5 minutes. He was great anytime i called with anything. Our stay was enjoyed. The driveway is a little small but we made it work. With the weather this year we didn't get to enjoy the outside fire pit but it was a nice set up. We can't wait to start looking for next year. Would def recommend this cabin to anyone!!

Spring Break in the mountains

We had a lovely stay! Location was beautiful and cabin was charming. Only call out I would like to make is that the cabin is not a true 4 bedroom as advertised. The 4th bedroom if off of the kitchen and is a very small room that has just enough room to fit a queen bed (no closet).

Parents 60th anniversary ❤️

Property is all one level and easy for our 80 y/o parents to move around. The view is beautiful. Do not expect internet ir fast phone service. This was great for us because we wanted to interact more with family and enjoy games, laughter and conversation. Bring your own paper products like toilet paper, paper towels & plates. 4 bedrooms, all 4 mattresses are different levels of firmness. Dust bunnies, not too bad. Windowsills need some cleaning, but so do mine. Yes, we would recommend this cabin. Nice stay for what we wanted to celebrate. Fast response to messages.

Great cabin in the woods

This was a great getaway for college friends to reconnect and relax. It was quiet and had a beautiful view and the sound of a creek below. Two of the beds were harder than we preferred but the others were great. The deck was amazing. The owners responded quickly and accepted feedback graciously. A nice stay for a small group for sure.
