High ceilings, spacious and airy interior in this beautiful, serene two story victorian workman's cottage. This is an all season rental - perfect for comfortable accommodations no matter the weather!
Newly listed as of March 2023, Feather Cottage is situated in a quiet neighborhood just 3 blocks from the downtown shops and eateries of Cape May Court House.
A mere 15-20 minute drive from Stone Harbor, the Wildwoods and Cape May beaches, this house is filled with light and modern conveniences.
There are 2 upstairs bedrooms (with additional twin daybed in den off the living room). Full bath with tub/shower + 1/2 bath. Hardwood floors and carpeting throughout. Well-equipped kitchen with gas range.
Full-size washer and dryer. Gas grill and patio beside a peaceful fenced in garden with a truly comfortable hammock.
Easy parking right there by the cottage.
Walk to center of town coffee shops, restaurants, local brewery, gym, running track and library with summer event schedule for children. 5 min. to Cape May County Park Zoo and Davies Sports Park with 3 playgrounds, sports fields and skate park.
This is a perfect centralized spot from which to embark on so many activities including birding, golfing, beach combing along both the Delaware by and ocean beaches, and more. Easy access to the Garden State Parkway for transit to each of the local shore points (Avalon, Stone Harbor, the Wildwoods and the Cape Mays).
Cape May and its wonderful walking mall is 15 minute drive.
Atlantic City is a half hour drive at most.
This is the third holiday rental we have to offer to those travelers who wish to stay in a comfortable and beautiful historic home in Cape May County.
We are pleased and delighted to share this precious gem with folks who seek a quiet and beautiful home-base and garden while visiting the jersey shore!

Property was perfect, even better than the photos. The back yard was incredibly tranquil and it was the perfect landing spot after our beach days in Wildwood.

A great stay, quiet, comfortable and accommodating. Great communication with the host, they definitely answer right away. Cape May county is a nice place and the house was near everything.

Thanks so much for a great stay.Everything was great.We loved the convenience to Wawa, the neighbor chickens and the cool air conditioning. The whole vibe of the house was happy. Great convenience to Avalon, Stone Harbor and Wildwood.Really enjoyed the cottage.

Beautiful peaceful cottage

It was like stepping back in time in all the best ways. What a beautiful home and garden. Very walkable and our dog loved hanging outside.

My husband and I truly enjoyed staying at feathers. Close to great restaurants. Grandkids came down. Went to stone harbor beach and next day Cape may zoo both such a guick drive away. Brought with us our dog loved the big fenced in yard. Would definitely stay again. Very clean and equipped with everything you would need Even had one rainy day and my husband and I did the jigsaw puzzle that was there.

Great place to stay!

I really appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage. I have tried other places that are dog friendly and have cleaned before we unpacked! The house has a lot of nice touches and is nicely located to the beaches and to stores like Walmart if you need something.

Mini Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay in this very nice place. It had everything we needed for our stay and close to town in case we needed anything or grab something to eat. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard with plenty of shde with the trees. Would recommend this place as your close to the beach in about 10-15 minutes depending which one you go to.

Charming Cottage

This was a charming cottage with lovely light throughout the day. Lovely gardens and lots of trees surround the house. It's about a 15-20 minute drive to Cape May itself and not too far from beaches in Wildwood.

Cozy Cottage

Lila and Steve provided detailed instructions for checking into the cottage, and helpful beach information. The cottage was adorable, and comfortable. Decorated in a cozy style. The kitchen was well equipped, new appliances. All in all our stay was very pleasant. It was not as close to the beaches as I would have liked, but an easy drive. I would recommend guests staying at Feather Cottage.

Fabulous Cape May weekend

Our stay was perfect! The house is charming, the yard is beautiful (our dog loved it!) and the location couldn't be better - you are close to everything. There are great restaurants to try, and the kitchen has everything you need to create your own meals if you love to cook. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet.There's even an outdoor shower so you don't drag sand into the house (yes, I was on the beach before Memorial Day!). We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when we visit southern New Jersey.

Close to everything

This cozy little cottage is a short drive to many shore points, making it the perfect launch pad to explore the south Jersey shore. Love the charm of the cottage. Decorated like a home. Do come prepared to supply yourself with all ingredients you would need to cook, including basic seasoning like salt and pepper, but otherwise the place does come with kitchen utensils, cookware and plates/glasses/silverware.

So cute!

This cottage was so different! Watched fireflies in the beautiful back yard garden with my little one in the evening while listening to croaking frogs nearby. The inside was just as adorable and the location was perfect as a starting point for all the area has to offer. Walk to Nino's for dinner highly suggested, and don't forget to check out the image of a dog's face in the exterior wood frame of the house right by the dog station on the deck!

Home away from home

We were very pleased with our stay. The house was clean and cosy, it had everything a family needs. The garden is lovely, fully fenced, providing plentiful of safe space for our dog to play. The residential neighborhood is peaceful, yet just over 10 mins from picturesque Stone Harbor and just under 20 mins from Cape May. Runners -a 400m track is just one minute down the road. Lila was welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful get away

I had the privilege of being the first person to stay at this beautiful house. The house was very clean and well kept. The house is a short drive from historic Cape May and Wildwood. You can enjoy relaxing walks on the beach, and enjoy beautiful sunsets on the Delaware Bay, which was a a few miles away.There are a lot of great restaurants in town, or you can make use of the well equipped kitchen in the house. The Cape May County Zoo is just a few minutes away, it is well known place to visit with free admission. The house also has a beautiful backyard where you can sit and relax if you need to just unwind. I will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful House-Great Location

We had a great stay at the Feather Cottage. Lila was a great host and available via text/call if needed. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to meet. The location is perfect as you can easily get to any of the shore points with a quick hop on the highway. There are a lot of great restaurants all within walking distance of the house. We did get a lot of rain so the mosquitos were out in full force, but Lila had bug spray available on the porch. The backyard is much bigger than we expected, and our dogs loved romping in the fenced off area in the back. Overall, the house is exactly as described and you won’t be disappointed staying here!

Great Location!

Feather Cottage is very nice. We loved that it’s close to everything (beaches, shops, restaurants, food stores, gym, boardwalk, parks, etc). We also liked that we were able to bring our dog. The owner was very good about answering our questions & offering recommendations. Some places we enjoyed were Wildwood Crest Boardwalk, Stone Harbor Beach (you need beach tags but they allow dogs on the beach after 7 p.m.), Cape May shops, & Cape May Lighthouse. The restaurants in the area are great. We enjoyed the Bellevue Tavern, Claudio’s, & a restaurant in Cape May called Barefoot Bar & Restaurant which is right near the beach, has live music, outside seating, & allows dogs. If you’re a gym rat, Court House Fitness is just 5 mins from the cottage. They have everything you need for your workout. Make sure you stop there & get the owner’s direct phone number (right at the front desk) because the main number is disconnected due to the number of calls they get. During the times we weren’t out & about, we were able to enjoy the comforts of the cottage. We loved the old feel of the house. Some of the plusses to the cottage were having the grill to BBQ & the washer & dryer for our clothes. The only suggestion I would make would be to stock the kitchen & bathrooms with non perishable items (spices/oil for cooking, coffee, hand soap, etc). This was not a big deal as the food stores are close by, but it would’ve been appreciated. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would love to return in the future.
