Located on 2 acres on 68 acre Washington Lake in the Catskills

Enjoy motor boating, golf, antique shops, swimming & the best bass fishing in the area. Enjoy the large yard with an expansive lawn is great for active people to play volleyball & games. There is a 200 foot path of lawn that leads down to the floating dock. You are secluded from the neighbors on either side of the house.
Plenty of privacy to relax and decompress from your busy work schedule!

Enjoy the granite counter tops, cathedral ceilings, floor to ceiling stone fireplace, year round outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake and mountains, majestic architecture, foosball, comfortable stone fire pit, eagles and hawks soaring above and the magnificent 10 foot custom Anderson windows providing serene views. Relax on 2 acres overlooking the lake with 3 large decks providing a view from 3 sides of the house. Spend nights and evenings in the screened in patio with magnificent sunset, mountain and water views. Inspiring loft work space with architectural window views of the lake with a Peloton bike for exercise. Enjoy use of the floating dock, swim platform. Filtered whole house water is supplied by a natural underground spring. Bedrooms have a flat screen Internet connected TV.

The lake house is within two hours North of NYC and near the area's most sought-after attractions, including the new Catskills gambling casino, Big Bear ski resort, world-class concerts at Bethel Woods, the Tusten hiking trails with views of the Delaware River, the quaint town of Narrowsburg with breathtaking views of the Delaware river, antique shops, art galleries, coffee house, and dining. Skinner's Falls is nearby, where you can swim, canoe and inner tube. Lake Superior State Park is nearby, which features a life guard, swimming area, sand beach, picnic areas with grills, rowboat and paddle boat rentals.

The Lake House was designed with unique areas that allow you to enjoy the best of nature. Tranquil and peaceful escape for family, friends, and co-workers. Great location for a photo shoot.

Train and bus services from New York City within 20 miles , Stewart International Airport (SWF) 1 hour away, Lyft and Uber available. A car is recommended.

Three days of relaxation

The house is perfect for 2-3 families. The location is great. Very peaceful and great sunset views. Plenty for kids to do including fishing. The host is acomodative and very responsive to all questions and requests.

Fantastic House and Management

The house was incredible and way bigger and spectacular in person. I went with a group of friends and our stay couldn’t have gone any better. The management team was friendly and super responsive, I highly recommend this property!

Overall an amazing week!

Earl was great and super responsive throughout the entire process. It was such a relaxing week - taking out the kayaks every day, sitting in the hot tub, playing whiffle ball on the big lawn, and building fires at night. Plus some great runs on some really steep hills in both directions from the house. We would definitely consider staying again.

Great spot on the lake

Beautiful home tucked away near a gorgeous lake. We went in the winter so could not get on the water, but there was a ton of equipment so I imagine the place would be great in summer. Rooms are very comfortable. The nearest large shop (Walmart) is a bit far, but there's a smaller grocery store nearby - would recommend making a stop on your way up to the home if you're doing a lot of cooking.

Lovely lake house property

We loved the property and location and enjoyed all the amenities. We were happy to bring our dog . The house is dated and not up to date which is usually why you can bring the dogs. Would have preferred a little more refining in the cleaning, but it's the end of the summer. Great location to Bethel woods.

Lovely location

We had a lovely time at the Catskills House. The lake was wonderful. But the house could use some TLC. When we arrived, the fireplace and hot tub were non-functional, the house lacked some basic supplies and the cleaning from previous guests was sub-par. The owner was super responsive to our issues, however, and we got them resolved. But a but more house/property maintenance would be recommended.

Good place for friends and family

I believe others stated the same but the pictures don't do justice to the size of the house. With 4 bedrooms all of good size and 2.5 bathrooms, easily fit 7 adults and 2 infants. Living/dining/kitchen room was spacious just couldn't all fit in the small dining table which was only meant for 4. Lake was nice and very clear, and with all the available types of boats available it was enjoyable. Fishing was nice out on the boats but hard around the dock with all the vegetation compared to some other houses nearby.

Great Getaway

This home has amazing views of the lake and perfect for families. Plenty of room to spread out over four floors. All beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels provided. The kitchen is stocked with all you need. We spent most of our time by the lake swimming and kayaking. Plenty of water toys provided. The hot tub was an added bonus! We found a great place to eat and get a drink not far from the house called The Outpost. Highly recommend. Earl the owner was very responsive and accommodating. Beautiful home - but some suggestions on how to make the stay even betterWe enjoyed our stay in this home- it was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the host was very responsive!I just have a couple of suggestions to make this house even better.I think some needs to be invested into improving some of the furniture. For example, if you are going to have a home that sleeps this many people, the table where everyone eats should be large enough- not a 3 person outdoor table. I was very excited to spend time on the screened in porch because mosquitos love me but the furniture in there was not comfortable - an old broken down lounge chair and 2 metal upright chairs. I dont think the fourth bedroom in the basement is usable. While we were there there was a leak into the room, but besides that it was super musty and no A/C (which wasnt necessarily an issue because it was cool at night and we could open the windows).My last suggestion would be to have a binder with instructions on how to use things in the home- we are pretty smart people and could not figure out how to use the remote-controlled fireplace. We did figure out how to work the hot tub controls. but just some instructions and maybe a list of local restaurants etc.

Lakehouse Getaway

Our family of 4 spent a wonderful week at this comfortable house. Bedrooms being on separate floors allowed us to spread out. The giant windows in the living room framed the natural beauty outside. My husband was excited to catch a 3.75lb bass off of the dock. The kids enjoyed the space and privacy of the big yard, finding tadpoles, sighting animals, playing football, and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Earl was informative and easy to communicate with throughout the process. Thanks for a great time!

This house is advertised on VRBO as a house that sleeps 12 with four bedrooms.The fourth bedroom was in the basement, had no dresser, or end table and the bathroom looked like a gas station bathroom, with a hole in the wall that adjoined the room where we were directed to put the garbage. Eight people for 4 days is a lot of garbage. There should have been access to a shed or garage to put the garbage, not in the room next to a bedroom where we slept. I also had to fold towels that were left in the dryer when I went to do a load of laundry.The barbecue was dirty and not even a BBQ.(it appeared to be a griddle) We could barely use it.The living room also served as the dining room, whereby there was a folding table and folding chairs for our use that took up most of the living space. No other indoor common area for us to utilize. The shared living/dining room certainly does not accommodate 12 people and we were extremely uncomfortable with only one couch and one chair to relax or gather in, and having the folding table in the middle of the living room prevented us from having any living room area in which to play, dance or whatever.Due to the growth in the lake we were unable to swim. For the price tag of over 5K for four nights, we should have had a much better experience. For that kind of money, we should have had an amazing house and not one complaint. This rental was completely below the quality that was expected.

Great Cabin Escape!

This house was one of my favorite places I have come across on Vrbo. I stayed for a weekend with some friends for a nice relaxing getaway. We actually never left the house because it was so perfect. It was so cozy with all of the things you may need, and an amazing lake view. The owner Earl gave us so much information about the property and the area before we even got there, we had no questions and felt so comfortable. I would definitely go again, we had such a great time!

Beautiful property…

The interior of the house needs quite a bit of attention. It feels like it hasn’t been upgraded in about 20 years. It looks like the owners are starting to make some changes but it’s hard to justify the price at this point. That being said, the property was gorgeous and the local towns were a perfect place to spend a long weekend.

Wonderful fall weekend at a beautiful home

Our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids and one dog) stayed here for a weekend in November 2020. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable, spacious yet cozy – a perfect “cabin in the woods” with all the amenities and a lovely water view. In fact, we never left the house! We enjoyed playing catch in the backyard, kayaking, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, fishing at the dock, and of course, lots of time in the hot tub. The kitchen is well-stocked with silverware, pots and pans, etc. and a supermarket is a 5 minute drive from the house. We used the grill for a BBQ one night and watched movies on the large screen TV. The kids also loved the foosball table. Earl is extremely responsive, well-organized, and provided extensive information about the house and the surrounding area; Paul from his maintenance team was helpfully setting up the hot tub when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Earl’s home. Our only regret is having booked such a short stay, but we hope to be back soon!

Great place for a group!

I came with a group of friends for our yearly medical school friendship reunion. Great spacious place that allowed us to play board games, kayak, and watch movies together. We would definitely recommend and consider coming back!

Great House + Beautiful Scenery + Awesome Host!

If you are looking for a serene place to relax, look no further! My friend and I stayed for a week and cancelled planned activities to spend more time at the house, because it was such a relaxing and enjoyable place to be. We kayaked and fished, enjoyed the deck, dock, and screened in porch tremendously. The house is even more spacious and lovely than the pictures show, and the views incredible. We had lots of birds, squirrels, deer, and a chubby little groundhog visit and add to the tranquility. And I must credit Earl- we had a small issue come up during our stay, and he was exceedingly responsive, helpful, and generous in a resolution- far exceeding what we would have expected. Awesome house, host, and experience, highly recommended!

We enjoyed

Place was picturesque. The lake is very private and there are kyacks and a rowboat available. The house is very nice but it is lacking many amenities (except toilet paper) like towels. There is very little nearby so don’t plan to eat out. Overall I would give it high ratings. Very nice place.
