Our property features a cozy, eclectic atmosphere with beautiful lakefront views. The property sits on Lake Sylvia, a natural lake that dates back to 1840. Our guests can enjoy the screened lanai , lovely front porch or the outdoor patio with beautiful lake views and amazing sunsets. A fire pit is available for cool nights by the fire.

The main living area is an open concept with views of the lake from the living and dining rooms through the large glass doors that lead into the lanai. We offer comfortable seating with down filled sofa, love seat and oversized chair. There is a 50 inch flat screen TV, WiFi with Hulu and Netflix access and a DVD player with a video library, The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped for those who may like to cook. Both bedrooms have queen beds and there are 2 full baths.

We are minutes to Indian Shore beach with parking at the Town Square Nature Park. Picnic and bathroom facilities are available there. The brand new Seminole City Center is 1.3 miles away and features excellent shopping, dining and entertainment. The Studio Movie Grill is located there. You can experience the reclining seats, full service bar and theater dining.
The Pinellas Trail is 1 block away for your biking, walking or running pleasure. Some favorite rides or walks nearby are Boca Ciega Millennium Park (1.5 miles) Walsingham Park (1.5 miles) Florida Botanical Gardens (3.5 miles) and Heritage Village (2.2 miles). All are free for your enjoyment. Other attractions nearby are historic downtown St Petersburg with world class museums, hotels , and fine dining (30 minutes) Bush Gardens/Adventure Island Water Park (45 minutes) and Disney World's theme parks (1.5 hours).
There are many golf courses within 3-5 miles.

We provide the following amenities: beach chairs, beach towels,, beach umbrella, canopy, outdoor grill, washer and dryer.

Our home is located in quiet neighbor in Seminole, Fl. We ask that you respect the neighbors by not having loud parties at night. We offer you a well equipped home with everything you will need for a short stay or a long term rental.

Peaceful setting

We enjoyed our stay. It was a last minute trip to Florida. The house is situated in a neighborhood 10 min drive from John’s Pass. The accommodations were peaceful, enjoyed all the amenities of a home away from home. We would definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you!

Even better in person

A gem of a house. Incredible view out the back, great back yard. Feels very private and is very quiet despite the dense suburban neighborhood. Comfortable well equipped house.

The Best!

Such a lovely home! It was quaint, quiet, comfortable, and beautiful! The host was fabulous! We loved every minute! It's close to everything!! We drove the few miles to the beach often and came home to a lovely setting. We cannot say enough great things about this home and the hostess. We definitely plan to return!

Beautiful and relaxing!

This beautiful home is well maintained and the homeowners have thought of many small details that make this a true gem. Not on the beach, but a short drive away. It is on a lake and gives beautiful views from almost anywhere in the house. We spent every morning having breakfast on the screened in porch and the ducks and wildlife would come right up to investigate. No alligators seen, thank goodness! Enjoyed the bike path nearby, and lots of close restaurants. Just a wonderful find that we would recommend to anyone. We look forward to returning. The homeowners are fabulous to work with and they ensured an easy transition.

Great location for your next getaway!

We totally enjoyed staying here. The location was very peaceful on a quiet neighborhood street with a tiny serene lake out the back door and a spacious screened in patio. A fun spot to have meals when the weather is nice! The house itself is well-loved and cared for and had everything we needed away from home, including all the food prep containers, dishes and cookware you might think of. We were delighted to find some "starter" items waiting for us in the frig upon arrival! So thankful!! The owners were so kind and considerate, checking in to make sure all was well, offering any help if needed. Even though the beach is close & only minutes away, you'd never know it! We hope to be able to stay here again. Truly a wonderful property!

Sanity in a World Gone Crazy!

I am a didabled veteran that needed an extended stay Home with two beds and one bath for an unfortunate event at my home here in Seminole fl. . I had to file a homeowners claim due to damage and needed to leave my home. Jane was extremely helpful and very compassionate and always available if I had any questions. The home is absolutely beautiful. Its a piece of old Florida set on a Beautiful lake that has been here since 1840. The neighborhood is just like mine, and I felt very at home here while going through an extremely stressful event of home construction with delays upon delays. I don’t really think I would have made it through this process without this safe Haven situated in beautiful Seminole Florida and hidden from most people, but super close to the beach!. I think they have the perfect picnic spot right here on Lake Sylvia. The nature was healing, I listened to all the birds, enjoyed the otters and the egrets and the sunsets and the full moon. I took full advantage of soaking my self in nature, and my sanity is intact. Without needing to call my VA therapist..lol. If you are feeling like life is just buzzing by too quickly but you want to be close to a beach and enjoy the beachside social spots too; then this is the place for you. Oh, if you forget something,,the owners have some back up items,. They have thought of everything! In GRATITUDE FOREVER

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay for a week. We really enjoyed eating our meals out on the sunporch while enjoying watching the otters and ducks. They were very accommodating and gave wonderful suggestions for things in the area to do. Thank you so much.

Great for bicycles

Great place with use of garage for our 4 large e-bikes. We didn’t have a need for anything as the home had it all and then some!

Wonderful home

Very nice property, everything included (even laundry soap and dishwashing soap). Only issue came with bikes, advertised as 2 bikes available. Upon arrival, bikes were nowhere near rideable. Jane made right by offering to rent us bikes. In the end, she did what was right.

Pretty house and location

The house was lovely and we had a great time there. The description was accurate and Jane was a most accommodating host. Our tiny issues were dealt with immediately and completely. I will miss the view from the living room looking out through the screen porch and to the lake.

This listing was just as stated, but pics do not do it justice. Our favourite part was barbecuing and dining in the evenings, whilst enjoying the nature sounds and sights. The only request I have is a new blender, so as to enjoy a frozen treat, or two. Would love to return!

We are very happy you enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry that you were not able to use the blender. Unfortunately the lid was not assembled properly. I found the piece that had fallen out in the cabinet and put it back together. It works perfect now!

Beautiful, clean and great location!

This home is beautiful, cozy and is in a great location with a lake in the back yard. The host couldn't have been more thoughtful and responsive and the decor is amazing. There is outside (screened in) seating, which I loved. Everything you need is in the house. Other places I have rented, I needed to go to the store for something, but she has the kitchen well stocked and even left some treats for us. Thank you for making our week in Seminole, FL easy and relaxing!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed staying here and would stay again. We usually stay at a beachfront place whenever we visit Florida but this time we wanted to try a place lakeside. Jane’s place is very comfortable and nicely decorated. It’s in a quiet residential area with Indian Shores beach about 10 min away. We loved the ambiance of the enclosed patio, the backyard and sounds of the birds and ducks on the lake. We’re city folk and really appreciated the serenity we experienced and wouldn’t necessarily get at a beachside condo. We recommend a stay here.

Jane's title aptly describes this charming home

The minute my wife and I walked in, we fell in love with this property. The screened-in lanai and lake-front view from the entry way is breathtaking! The terrazzo floor throughout is nice and cool to walk on, the furniture throughout are cozy and the decor presents a very artistic flair. The TV is great, and everything you need to cook is provided. Jane even stocked the fridge with nice welcoming goodies that made us feel right at home. The wifi is nice and fast and the master bed comfortable (for us). We loved sitting on the lanai and just taking in the sounds of the birds and other animals, watching the various wild life play and soaking in the sun and tranquil view while eating breakfast or any other meal or just reading. Jane even offers bikes and beach equipment (including sun hats) for renters' use. We enjoyed meeting her when Jane stopped by to personally greet us, which was a very nice touch. This home is an easy 10-minute walk to the Pinellas Trail or 10 minute drive to Madeira Beach and perhaps 15 to John's Pass and Treasure Island and all the beaches have to offer. The home is also near a variety of good local restaurants and shopping (and only five minutes to Starbucks). Our initial wow reaction never went away and we truly hated to leave our 16-day stay at Jane's little oasis.

Great Vacation Home

My husband and I along with my sister and brother-in-law can not say enough nice things about this home. It has everything you need to make your stay so enjoyable. It is homey, clean and well supplied. You will be in communication with Jane and she lovely. We never had any issues with the home but she was only a phone call away if we would have. She is so helpful and she responds quickly to any questions. If you need beach chairs, bikes, beach towels or even a cooler they are provided for you. Jane even had a dozen of eggs and milk in the frig. for us. Do not hesitate on choosing this home.

Perfect and peaceful!

My family (husband, 4 yr old and 4 mo old) enjoyed our Christmas holiday in Jane’s lovely home. We have been renting through VRBO for years and Jane has been by far the most considerate and thoughtful host we’ve ever had. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a stocked kitchen full of sweet surprises and the essentials to start off our vacation without stress. Since we vacationed for Christmas, the home had touches of Christmas decor that meant so much to us. We used the fire pit almost every evening and fed the ducks each morning. My son is now a pro at making the perfect s’more. The back glass doors opens up to make a very large entertaining space and we loved sitting on the couch while watching our son run around catching lizards in the back yard. It was so private and relaxing! The home is conveniently located by 2 grocery stores, a gym and a lot of shopping and dining. The beach is a few minutes away and the home has everything you need for a day at the beach. I was most impressed with all the little touches such as face clothes, soaps, candy canes and treats that she stocked in the fridge. She kept in contact via text to make sure our stay was the best that it could be! I highly recommend this rental!

20 feet of sliding glass doors provide beautiful views of the lake and gardens from within. Covered lanai for outside dining. We are 1 block from the beautiful Pinellas Trail. The beaches are 5 minutes away.
