The Douglas on Third is a 100 year old building that has been completely redone, inside and out and offers one of the few places to stay on historic 3rd Street in downtown McMinnville. The rooms are quaint, not overly large, but we have built in most everything you will need during your visit!

*In order to maintain a romantic and restful ambience we do not permit guests under 10 years of age.

All VRBO guest will have access to the on site laundry room. You will be able to pay for your laundry services via a debit or credit card. You can also download the app to see when your laundry will be ready!

Each VRBO has its own living space inside of the individual units. The Douglas on Third offers a Community Space for Residents and or Guests to enjoy a central common space to relax and get to know others staying at The Douglas.

Go wine tasting at your neighboring wineries and vineyards! The Douglas is located directly on Historic 3rd Street which hosts 15 tasting rooms, dozens of award winning restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. Over 50 local vineyards such as Archery Summit, Domaine Serene, and Domaine Drouhin are within 15 minutes making this the ultimate wine country getaway!

The Location could not be any better! Since the Douglas on Third is directly on Historic Third Street, you have the opportunity to walk to tasting rooms, restaurants and entertainment! We love that people can enjoy our amazing downtown and then walk safely back to their VRBO at The Douglas on Third. The Douglas on Third VRBO is the perfect place for you to stay during your time in McMinnville!

There were lots of amenities, but the living, bedroom and bathroom space was rather compact. I've stayed in Japanese hotels with rooms of comparable size.

Lovely stay

Neat village. Great area. As a boutique hotel, it’s not as spacious as a chain hotel, but it is right in the center of the village with lots of great options for dining, wine tasting etc. It works great and was what we were looking for. There is no traditional front desk, but the communication and instructions were very clear and everything worked perfectly. Would go back for sure.

Perfect Location

It felt like we were staying in a tiny NY apartment (in a good way)! Everything was clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location. Parking is a little tricky if you're not in a compact vehicle and I wish the room was stocked with more coffee since there's no front desk to just grab more but the place was quiet and had nice welcome perks. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location

Cannot find a better location if you just want to walk to several wineries and explore downtown McMinnville. Cozy apartment space with super easy access. Didn’t have to worry about keys. Maybe the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had!

Cozy Luxe in the Heart of Downtown

My husband I wanted a retreat to decompress after dropping our son at college, and Douglas on 3rd was perfect! We stayed in #11 (not facing the street), with a very comfy queen bed, ample sitting area and kitchenette. The unit was sparking clean, decor was bright and chic. The shower is a bit tight, but the plush robe was lovely. I highly recommend visiting the Pike Road tasting room downstairs. Mike is friendly and knowledgeable and the wine is delicious!

Great weekend!

What a wonderful little property in a wonderful location! The kitchen had everything we needed and we absolutely loved being able to walk to so many great food, drink, and shopping spots. We would definitely stay here again. The only downside was that the front door was blocked off the first night and the back entry stairs are pretty steep for dragging up luggage.

Wine trip was successful

Although a pandemic happening, we safely traveled to McMinnville for 2 night stay. The weather cooperated so we really lucked out for the outdoor dining situation in the middle of January. Great people, great town, great wine!!

The Douglas in owned and run in partnership by the Elmers and the Moens, who have been dear friends since the late 1990's. Over a year ago, the couples decided that they wanted to take on a fun project, and thus the Douglas on Third came about. Meeting new people, introducing them to the town and community they love, and simply being hospitable is something they are all passionate about.
