The Douglas on Third is a 100 year old building that has been completely redone, inside and out and offers one of the few places to stay on historic 3rd Street in downtown McMinnville. The rooms are quaint, not overly large, but we have built in most everything you will need during your visit!

Over 50 local vineyards such as Archery Summit, Domaine Serene, & Domaine Drouhin are within 15 minutes, making this the ultimate wine country getaway!

The location could not be any better! Since the Douglas on Third is directly on Historic Third Street, you have the opportunity to walk to tasting rooms, restaurants and entertainment! We love that people can enjoy our amazing downtown and then walk safely back to their VRBO at The Douglas on Third. The Douglas on Third VRBO is the perfect place for you to stay during your time in McMinnville!

One night in McMinnville

Sometimes we drive up and drive home, but it makes for a more relaxing experience when we spend the night after a day of wine tasting and eating. Good choice for McMinnville, walkable to many restaurants.

Great location

Location was perfect for us. Easy access to local wineries, walking distance to several tasting rooms and eateries. We had a small issue that was addressed immediately. Welcome bottle of wine was appreciated. We have already recommended this apartment to ithers!

Great getaway

We are from Eugene and drove up to our wine club winery to pick up wine. This was a perfect little spot to stay for a quick trip. It was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. The location was nice…..we could sip wine/cocktails and then walk to the Mac Market for dinner at “Hayward”. We will do this again!

Disappointed

There is no on site management. The TV did not work, so at 7:30PM I had to call. A woman arrived 15 minutes later. And took done time, repeating the same steps I had, then finding she needed to reprogram the thing. I told her I was disappointed that, at this price point, we had to have our evening interrupted and host a visitor. She became incredibly defeMove And rude. Told me I should be thanking her and appreciating that she took the time to come. At no time, as a manager, did she apologize for the property dysfunction. Instead, she went on the attack. I was firm but never attacked her personally. They choose to manage remotely and should have things of this sort on the housekeeping check list. Given her terrible attitude, I would not stay here again.

Great weekend getaway

We absolutely loved our little apartment. It was charming, clean, comfortable bed and great location! We met one of the pair of owners in the hallway and they were nice as can be. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for a weekend in McMinnville!

We loved the cute common area and used it both nights for our cocktail hour and we highly recommend La Rambla for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location!

We had a wedding in wine country and this was the perfect location for us to attend the wedding and be right in the center of McMinnville. Great location with excellent access to restaurants and shops. This unit is very comfy and had everything we needed for our weekend stay - felt like home!

I believe that this property was aptly described as “quirky”.

Our initial room had a very strange layout. You had to traverse the bathroom to reach the kitchen and exit from the bedroom. We were moved to another room. Our second room had a well equipped kitchen, but no table at which to eat. That room also had a sofa, unfortunately for tv watchers, the tv was in the bedroom. Parking was avai, convenient, and free. Rooms are on the second floor. There is no elevator. There is a full and well signed coin laundry room. The location is excellent, in the heart of McMinnville with a good choice of restaurants and wine tasting rooms and a very good small grocer. And of course there are innumerable wineries nearby.

Charming!

This charming little suite is the perfect place to put your feet up after a day of wine tasting. It had enough space, was clean and beautifully decorated. Plus, you really can't beat the location. 3rd Street is right outside the front door and many different great restaurants and tasting rooms are within walking distance (Bistro Maison was a personal favourite!) The only drawback was the walls are pretty thin and we could hear almost everything happening in the hallway. Despite this, we wouldn't hesitate to book here again!

GREAT LOCATION, EASY AND CUTE

I stayed in the area on business and was looking for something more than mainstream. This was it. Close to shops and restaurants, right in the heart of McMinniville. Wi-Fi and a little table to work at next to a big window looking out over the trees street was perfect.

Over a year ago, the couples decided that they wanted to take on a fun project, and thus the Douglas on Third came about. Meeting new people, introducing them to the town and community they love, and simply being hospitable is something they are all passionate about.
