"GO BIG BLUE" will warm your heart and quickly become your home away from home. This spirited, newly renovated cottage in Mid-Island Beach is located on one of the best streets in Fort Myers Beach. It is just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. This family-friendly street is a wonderful place to relax and talk with the neighbors as you enjoy an evening walk to get ice cream or watch the sunset.
This home is ready to be your winter snowbird tropical paradise. "GO BIG BLUE" is a raised traditional Fort Myers beach cottage with the modern conveniences of an ideal vacation getaway. This home away from home is steps from the beach and provides much-needed relaxation from your everyday life. This spacious two-bedroom and two-bathroom home features a new king mattress in the primary bedroom and a new queen in the second bedroom. The cottage sleeps four for a relaxing and restful evening. The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom. A spacious living room opens to a large kitchen, which provides everything you need to prepare meals. You may also want to enjoy outdoor grilling and dining on the back deck. Private boat tours for fishing are readily available. Take your pick of eight golf courses within thirty minutes of your cottage.
Go Big Blue is just three houses from the canal. A short walk down the street toward Estero Blvd. allows easy beach access. It is a fantastic mid-island location with free Wi-Fi and three flat-screen televisions. The beach wagon will easily hold all your necessities for a day at the beach. Beach towels, several chairs, and a beach umbrella are all included with your stay. The beach is so close that you may go home for lunch and return for an afternoon of sun. An outdoor shower is available to wash off the sand from the beach. There are several local eateries, including Junkanoos, Doc Fords, Dixie Fish, and Yo Taco.
The Ft. Myers Beach Trolley is a fun and easy way to get around on Ft. Myers Beach. If you decide to take an evening ride, hop on the trolley. The boardwalk is full of fun and shopping. A short drive over the bridge will take you to Fort Myers. Your Walmart is four miles away, and Publix is only one mile away when you need to stock up on groceries. If you choose to get up early for the sunrise, be sure to make a stop for breakfast at Moms---one of our favorites! Enjoy!

Great house and location!

The house was fresh and newly remodeled. You can’t beat this location. A quick walk to a fabulous soft sandy beach that has beautiful sea shells and fun low tide sandbars. The only downside was that there was a lot of construction around the house… still rebuilding from hurricane. A year from now, it’s going to be an A location.

This adorable, clean, comfortable modern cottage has everything one could ask for in a vacation rental! Kay thought of everything you would need when away from home. Owner was easy to communicate and get in touch with. Location was ideal! Walking distance to beach, downtown, and Publix. From beach accessories to frosted mugs and everything in between!!!! You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend...

First time back to the island post Ian and we couldn’t have been happier. It was a perfect stay in the perfect mid-island location. The home was tucked back in the corner at the end of a dead-end street with a view of the bay to the side. It was cozy, nice furnishings and decor, and it was very easy to quickly settle in and feel at home. We enjoyed morning coffee on the spacious back deck and we routinely used the supplied beach wagon to haul our chairs and personal items to the beach. The best part was our host. In all my VRBO rentals, I’ve never felt more welcomed and assured than I did renting Go Big Blue. 10/10

Great Choice

Perfect location. Clean home.

My husband and 2 small children stayed at this location for a month. We loved coming in to the clean and bright/well lit home. The front and back porches add tons of extra living space. The owner was quick to respond and resolve any questions or issues we had. We loved this property and would definitely return!

A Great Stay at a Great Property

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Big Blue. Kay, the property owner, was very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The property is well located- near both the attractions of Fort Myers Beach, and within easy walking distance to the beach itself. The house was very clean on check-in, which is always welcome. My family and I hope to return again soon.

Excellent Choice!!

This little gem is perfect for a ocean vacation! Walking to beach was easy and the beach items they have for use are perfect! The house itself was clean and comfortable and working with the property manager was very easy and pleasant:). Highly recommend this for your next stay @Ft Myers Beach!

Exceptional

My husband and I have used VRBO for many years and we must say this was one of the best ever. So if you're looking for a VERY clean, nicely furnished, quiet location look no further. Kay was very accommodating and always just a text away to answer questions and happy to provide us with very helpful information and recommendations. We loved all the nice beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, wagon and bicycles. The beach was just a short walk or quick bike ride away. We highly recommend this Vaca location and will definitely book again if we ever head back this way. Thanks a million Kay! 😎

Spring break

The property was exceptionally clean. Great amenities such as bikes and beach supplies. Quiet street but a little too far out for us since we spent most of our time downtown with friends. The travel time into town via vehicle was always slow. The use of the bikes helped a lot but couldn’t alway ride them with beach chairs and stuff. The owners were super sweet and helpful with any questions, they would respond immediately.

Winter Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach house. Everything we needed was readily accessible to make for a relaxed vacation by the beach. The owner was most helpful with answering all of our questions. Property is very convenient to many things to see and do. Highly recommend.

Perfect stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely property! It was clean and comfortable and in a wonderful location that was both quiet and close to everything! The owner provides MANY extra, thoughtful touches, such as welcome wine, chilled beer mugs upon arrival--even left some lights on for us as we were arriving late in the evening. We appreciated the bikes--all in good working order and perfect to get around the island! We used the grill (worked great) and cooked in the kitchen, finding everything we needed to prepare our meals. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck--surrounded by palm trees, sun, breeze--so lovely and relaxing! We highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again!

Calming Oasis

My husband and I stayed the week of March 10th and had an absolutely great time. It was like being at home with all the same conveniences. The neighborhood is very friendly and quiet. The rental had everything we needed for going to the beach which is just 5 minutes away plus bikes to get around town. There is also a working washer and dryer which is another great feature. A grocery store is located a few blocks away and there is also a Tram that will take you to quite a few places. There are so many great restaurants to eat at and things to do and see. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this place to our friends and family.

Incredibly nice beach house!

My sister, her husband, and I have stayed in three houses at Ft Myers Beach in the last three years and this was BY FAR the nicest! Recently redone with two comfortable bedrooms, two bright baths, cool tile floors, nice deck, huge barbecue grill, tastefully decorated, well equipped kitchen, four bicycles, beach chairs and umbrella, etc. First thing we noticed was how immaculately clean it was, then all the extras: paper goods, dish/laundry detergent, wine and chocolates! I wish we had discovered this place earlier. Do not hesitate to book this property! The damage deposit is steep ($1500), but I think that Kay just wants to make sure you're serious about caring for her wonderful home. What a fantastic week!

Fort Myers Beach is not your typical fast-paced beachfront atmosphere. The island town is extremely relaxed. There is an excellent selection of locally-owned restaurants, and numerous activities are just a trolly ride away . . . and, of course, one of the best beaches in America. Whether a day on the golf course, private charter, or shopping at the Boardwalk . . . you are staying in an excellent mid-island location. It should also be noted that the warm weather is unmatched . . . especially during the winter months.
Why this property, you ask? This is "our" home away from home "Go Big Blue" is on a street with minimal rentals. This speaks volumes as to the neighborhood in which we are located. The house is the PERFECT location for snowbirds or those looking for a month or winter getaway. Relaxed and inviting with multiple amenities - something for everyone!

A short walk to the beach! The large deck provides for a romantic evening for two or a great place to enjoy dinner with family and friends. The family room includes two sofas perfect for late evening conversations or stretching out for a nap on those cloudy days. The primary bedroom consists of a new and comfortable king mattress for dreamy nights. The primary also includes an en suite bathroom. The kitchen was one of the reasons we purchased the home. It has a bar for additional seating, and it is open to the family room to ensure that everyone is involved in the excitement . . . even if preparing dinner!
