I appreciate your acknowledgment during our phone conversation of the cleanliness during your stay. Regarding the cancellation of your reservation, I was surprised to receive an email two hours after your check-in informing me of the cancellation. Considering the weather was not ideal for a beach vacation, which I understand was your intention, I reached out to you immediately via text and phone calls to understand the situation. During our conversation, you requested compensation due to your husband's allergies, although it seemed unclear how that related to the cancellation. Subsequently, I discovered that you were providing fabricated complaints in an attempt to secure a refund with VRBO. At the end of your call with them, you decided that your husband was not just allergic to cats, but to dogs as well. Despite the circumstances, I offered you a refund as a gesture of goodwill. However, you declined and proceeded to threaten me with a scathing review and involving the authorities if a full refund was not provided, setting an ultimatum by the end of the day. When I did not respond to this threat, you then told me that I should understand that it is possible that you could not afford the vacation. Our listing provides accurate information, and I am always available to address any questions or concerns that any guest may have. I regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, but I believe it is essential to maintain open and respectful communication when discussing such matters.
