All freshly painted, new furniture throughout, new tile, hardwood floors, Fresh linens in beds, which include one queen and one king size. Cookware in kitchen for your use. Shatley springs 20 minutes for home. Thistle Winery 3 minute drive. West Jefferson 15 minute drive. New River State Park 7 minute drive. Freebornes and Stations Inn1 1/2 mile drive. Blue Ridge Parkway 1 1/2 mile drive. IF YOU HAVE A PET.. I MUST APPROVE BEFORE RENTING

The home was easy to locate and was well maintained, beautifully decorated and cozy. It was pet friendly and our cat was very happy there. It is remote, and is about 30 minutes drive to town. It’s very close to a nice winery called Thistle Meadow. We did have a refrigerator failure and the owner had it replaced with a new one the next day. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We loved it!

Comfortable home away from home

This house was very nicely outfitted with just about anything you could need. It was cozy and comfortable and met our needs very well. The kitchen had all you needed to cook a meal down to measuring cups & spoons. Streaming services and lots of movies. Nice yard with fire pit. We loved the gas fireplace. If you sit on the porch at night, you can hear a creek or stream moving, so peaceful. Short drive to West Jefferson and Sparta.

Cozy, comfortable and beautiful setting in Ashe County

We enjoyed our stay so much in this renovated home. The house is very comfortable and cozy. Incredibly clean! Such a pleasant setting! Jennifer was very accommodating of our spur of the moment rental. Thank you so much!

Fabulous location

Great central spot for access to all the various locations for hiking. A visit to West Jefferson was also fun. We really enjoyed our stay!

Quick getaway

Beautiful, cozy cottage, centrally located for day trips to Blue Ridge Parkway and nearby towns Sparkling clean, well appointed Sunsets on the patio with fire flies flittering after dark. Cool breezes, moonlit nights with sounds of nature in the distance. We had a much needed time to relax and rejuvenate our souls. This cottage earns 5 stars and we look forward to another trip. Thank you for sharing your home.

Will Definitely Stay Again

My husband and I had the best time. The home was very very clean and nicely decorated. Checkin was a breeze. The home was located in a nice area. The yard is beautiful. I wish we had brought our fur baby because she would have loved it. I definitely recommend renting this place.

Beautiful and comfortable home.

This home is well taken care of and very loved! Yard is beautiful, house was clean and the furniture is very comfortable... So much so that we are looking into the buying the same recliners. Owner communicated well and made sure we knew all about the house and property before our arrival. Location is perfect for West Jefferson. We also spent a cold day kayaking the New River and finished the day with a wonderful dinner from Main Street Pizzeria and Taphouse in Sparta. Awesome location. We will be back!

A Winter Week Stay

The property is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. The living room/den has very comfortable leather recliners and 2 large sofas. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of plates, cups, utensils, and cookware. Ms. Jennifer has made sure you have everything you need. She is a wonderful host.

Perfect getaway

I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway! The place was spotless. The location was great as it was close to state parks and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The scenery around the place was beautiful and we loved gathering around the fire pit! it exceeded our expectations!

Just Perfect!

My wife and I made a last minute decision to head to the mountains, and we were lucky to come across Jennifer’s home. It is comfortable, and well maintained. It is close to West Jefferson and the New River State Park, both places we enjoy.. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a quiet get away in the mountains.

This is a beautiful home. It was immaculate! Loved it so much. The only negatives I could say was the stove was old. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing!

I have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this is by far one of our favorites. Everything you need is provided, it was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfy, and I could look out the living room window at that view forever! We will definitely be back!

Quiet and Comfortable

This house was just exactly what we were looking for! It was was quiet and comfortable. It felt secluded yet it was convenient to everything we visited. The check-in text included information about area attractions which was helpful. That is how we learned about the New River State park. It was an easy drive from the house and we enjoyed a nice walk and looking through exhibits at the lovely visitors center. We also loved having a kitchen and dining area along with a comfortable living room with DVD player! If we are back in the West Jefferson area, we would definitely plan to stay at Mountain Air We Don't Care if it was available!

Just Like Home!

This little house was beyond belief. It is a beautiful home with everything you could possibly want provided for you. The kitchen was fantastic and had every small amenity just like I was back home in my own kitchen. This house was the cleanest property I've ever rented. It also has a great walking trail back behind the house in a Christmas tree Grove. if you like clean and neat with all the Comforts of home this is the property you need to rent.
