Carolina Dream - Fleetwood, NC

Carolina Dream is a cozy, impeccably decorated cabin nestled in the woods within a gated community and has seasonal Mountain View's from the back porch. You'll have peace and quiet but only 5 miles from downtown West Jefferson and 25 minutes to Boone.

Inside, you'll find comfortable leather furniture in the spacious living area featuring a stone fireplace with gas logs, smart flat screen TV. Open concept floor plan with the dining and kitchen area. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher for easy clean up. Just off the kitchen is the laundry area with washer and dryer. The dining area features seating for six at the table and two at the bar.

Also, on the main level, is the master suite featuring comfy king size bed, smart flatscreen TV and access to the covered deck. On-suite bath features walk in shower. There is an additional two bedrooms on the main level that share a full bath. One features a queen bed with smart flatscreen TV. The other features two twin beds.

Off the living area is the spacious covered deck. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or fire up the gas grill and prepare a meal for the family.

Lower level features the second master suite with full size bed and bunks and TV with Roku. The on-suite bath offers shower/tub combo. Gather in the unfinished lower level area for air hockey, ping pong and a card table for great family fun.

Outside, you will find a fire pit. Perfect for gathering round on those cool Carolina Mountain evenings to roast s'mores or just talk and make memories that is sure to last a lifetime.

Other amenities include WIFI, board games, books, puzzles, children's movies, iron, ironing board. Live TV programming provided Sling TV.

Maximum Guests: 8 (including children)

Dog Friendly: Small Dogs 25lbs or less (ask for larger) accepted with prior notice and approval. 2 dog max. No Puppies or other animals.

Rafting, canoeing, biking and fishing are just a short 15-minute drive away in the town of Todd, NC. RiverGirl Fishing Company offers guided tours and will even teach you how to fish or give you a few pointers. Downtown West Jefferson features many art galleries, unique shops as well as restaurants for dining out.

This cabin is offered as a nightly, weekly or monthly rental.

Disappointed

Rented here Sept 2024. Basement smelled of mold and could not be used at all. Called property management who informed me the owners were aware and working on the “water problem”. I paid for use of the entire house but was able to use half. As an RN was very concerned about the moldy smell. I woke up congested every day. Upstairs was pretty but only the very bare necessities. Small TVs. I’ve rented lots of places, would not rent here again. Overall disappointed.

Spacious and Relaxing Mountain Cabin

The property was clean, spacious, and quiet--perfect for my husband and I who were in town visiting my in-laws for a 70th birthday celebration. We really enjoyed it.

Easy, beautiful, just right!

A group of friends, including three kids and a small dog all got together to spend time together. The hosting company was very helpful in communicating ahead of time about weather and offering an early check-in! The property was private and included a fun room for games with the kids. It was an easy trip. The kitchen was decently stocked and we had clear communication about what to bring ahead of time. We would recommend and would stay again.

Fantastic house in great location

House was even better than expected. Very clean. No long range views of the mountains but still a beautiful setting. Amazing location. 5 minutes to West Jefferson, grocery store, gas station, etc. Super easy to get to Blowing Rock and Boone. Virginia Creeper trail is about an hour away. We used the fire pit every day. There are 3 plastic Adirondack chairs for the fire pit, so if you have more people I recommend brings no camp chairs. I tend do a fair amount of cooking when I rent a vacation home and am a little particular about kitchen accessories. If you want things like a good knife, cheese grater, colander - then I would bring these things with you. Also, I assumed the coffee maker would be a Keurig and it was not. Bring ground coffee, not pods!! I would definitely rent this cabin again!

Great cabin for our family of 8.

This property was great; as advertised. It was clean and had everything we needed for our 4 day vacation to the mountains. Our boys (9 & 11 yr old) enjoyed the basement with the ping-pong table and other games! Two suggestions: the outside fire pit needs to be about 1-2 blocks higher to hold the fire more comfortably and the shower in the main level bathroom would benefit from the curved shower curtain design to provide more space.

Overall, nice stay

We enjoyed staying in this house overall. We did experience the dryer dying on our second day there, and it wasn't fixed before we left. I know the company tried to get someone out, but that took a couple days. They tried to make it right and couldn't have known that was going to happen, so we didn't hold that against them. Our kids loved playing downstairs & even though it was unfinished, it was a comfortable space to play in. House suited our needs well while we were in the area. Plenty of room for what we needed, plus the bonus game room made it a winner

Great House

We loved the house and neighborhood. We were told we would only be provided 1 towel/wash cloth per house max occupancy which is fine, but towels were extremely worn and needed replacing. Game room was still under construction, but nice overall layout of the house.

Perfect for family of 7

This property was just as described and perfect for our family of 7 with kids ranging from newborn to 15. The ping pong and air hockey down stairs was a huge hit for our older kids, as well as the fire pit for s'mores. The upstairs was spacious with the open floor plan and the layout worked great for our family. The neighborhood was also very quiet and easy to find, loved that it was in a gated community as well. Our kids are already asking if when we can go back!

What a lovely cabin in a gated community. Our family loved the location, close to West Jefferson if you need anything. Went tubing with Rivergirl Fishing Co. Visited Ashe County Cheese and toured a great goat farm, Heritage Homestead. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful restful vaca spot

House is exactly how it is advertised! It was perfect for our group of 6. We LOVED the back deck- looking into the woods. Perfect for sipping coffee in the mornings.

Relaxing getaway

This property was perfect for our family vacation with our adult children. Plenty of room to hang out together as well and spread out. Location was great and allowed for easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock and West Jefferson.

Classy mountain home near West Jefferson

This a real nice home with easy access to 221. It feels like a high end cabin with all the wood. The bedrooms are spacious, and all 3 bedrooms on the main level connect to the open living area in the center. Downstairs has a second master with a full bath and queen plus bunk bed, so you could fit a second family there. Everyone loved the ping pong table, and it is really nice to have so much open area to play. The back porch is huge and stretches the length of the house, with lots of nice chairs to relax outside.

Great time in Fleetwood

My family had a wonderful time at the cabin in Fleetwood. It is very close to hiking, but not really close to the other activities we chose to do. If you want to ski or snow tube I would suggest staying closer to Boone or Blowing Rock. However, this cabin was very reasonably priced, allowed our small dog, and included a gas fireplace (although it had a weird smell when lit), air hockey and ping pong. My 3 girls loved their stay and did not want to leave. We also enjoyed horseback riding which was around 30 minutes away and a lot less expensive than in Jacksonville, Fl. The only issues we had upon arrival were the sheets for our bedroom seemed unwashed even though in a plastic bag (so I washed them), and the guest bath was not very clean (so I cleaned it). Lovely cabin in a very remote quiet setting where the stars felt so close you could almost touch them.
