Walk from your door to Carlsbad's famous Tamarack Beach Park in 45 steps, and less than 3 minutes! You can also walk to the Village, only about 1/2 mile away, where all the shops and restaurants are.
Spacious and comfortable, with partial ocean view from the living room, this beautiful condo has one bedroom and one full bathroom, spacious kitchen, and living room. The unit has A/C and heating. Fully equipped with 2 large TV's, WiFi, beach gear, all linens, kitchen tools, etc.

Totally enjoyed the whole process, from start to finish! The apartment was spotless. The many windows provide a bright, "beach house" feel and on a quiet night you can hear the waves. The bedroom and bath area have a pocket door that you can slide shut, separating them from the living area. This allows for complete privacy, and darkness for those who want to sleep in. The bathroom is a tiny spa experience, with awesome water temp and pressure. To the reviewers who commented about there not being any drawers for clothing, please note there is a door next to the water heater in the bed/bath area and if you open it, there are about 6 very deep shelves. These can serve as clothing storage. The closet is large, with plenty of hanging space. Towels and linens were ultra soft and smelled wonderful. The kitchen is well appointed, and the fridge worked really well. Be advised that the garage is good for any size vehicle, but for ease of parking and turning in to the property, a small to mid size vehicle is recommended. Book here with confidence!

Beach Vacation

Great spot to enjoy the beach. Had wonderful conversations with family each night around gas fire pit. Easy walk to Carlsbad Village. Property manager was responsive and helpful.

Best Location and Property

This was our third year renting a beach property and by far it was the best one yet! The layout was very functional and included all the things a family needs. The one bedroom had a king and twin bed in it but it slept my family of three perfectly! To get to the beach you just walk outside, cross the street, and go down the stairs to Carlsbad State Beach. Carlsbad is a beautiful area with a clean beach and no extra chaos. We’ll definitely be booking again for next year!

Close to beach

Nice little condo with garage parking. Comfortable bed and couch. Kitchen has just what you need. Close walk to beach. Easy walk along beach to restaurants/shops.

Disappointed

While this location is fabulous- the features and amenities at the unit are bare bones. You get little for the price except the view. There was a note asking for tenants to give suggestions, here they are: Kleenex in the bathroom and more than 2 hand towels. An extra set of sheets would be nice for those with longer visits. Blankets for the best would also be nice for those of us who get cold. Mattresses sit on plywood- not comfortable. Need reostats on all ceiling lights- it is so bright in the entire unit you can’t even use the lights. Putting a tripod lamp in the living room and a lamp between the beds would definitely be an improvement. How about more hangers. And- cleaning the sofa would help. We did not use the dishwasher until the last day. When we opened the door to it, it slammed into my shin as the hinge was broken. I have been dealing with a gash for weeks. The house cleaner should have notified the owner when this first happen and it should have been taken care of before we arrived. All in all for the money a really disappointing VRBO. Way too much money for too little amenities. We would not recommend staying here until owners make it more enjoyable to use..

Great place. Way closer to the beach than expected. The extra single bed in addition to the king was perfect for our single child family. Would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was great. We were in the B unit, so be aware that that unit and the C unit are over the garage. So anyone coming and going you can hear the garage door right under the bedroom.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at this ideal location. A good basic rental right near the beach. The chairs and beach gear were a plus, and we had a wonderful time.

Wonderful Carlsbad spot.

Great location. Not too close or to far from downtown Carlsbad. 3 minute walk to the sand. Had everything you need (no oven though). Comfy bed, furniture and nicely updated. Beach chairs, ice chest, boogie boards and umbrella provided in garage. Couple bikes too. Overall great stay and value. Would come back again.

Beach Perfection

This place is amazing! Steps from the beach, delicious food and friendly locals. It was perfect for the three of us. Everything you would need for a short or long stay. Waves crashing at night was the perfect sound to fall asleep to.

Excellent property and killer location!

The apartment was neat and clean. The apt is nicely appointed, furniture, appliances, kitchen supplies, etc. The bed was extremely comfortable with clean sheets, blankets, etc. The location is phenomenal, literally 25 yards from PCH and the beach. Great place for a long weekend or a getaway.

Shoulda/Coulda been perfect, but was just OK

First, let me say Denise and Jennifer were both very nice and I'm hopeful this place will be "finished" so it can be a 5 star experience for future guests. The location is very good, the place is fully remodeled and clean and having a garage is terrific. However, there was no dresser for clothes in the bedroom, the "curtains" didn't fully cover the windows and were so sheer you could see through them like they weren't even there. I had to go buy and install 2 smoke detectors as there were none. Totally do not understand why the second bed was put in the bedroom, mad the room too tight and a dresser would be much better. No place to put shampoo or soap in the shower, so I bought a shower caddie and installed it. The bathroom sink was too huge and thus virtually no counter top space. Same with the kitchen, almost no usable counter top space. both the refrigerator and pantry cabinet were brand new, but installed with the doors backwards so the functionality was terrible. These doors can be switched around by any handy-man in about 20 minutes and they really need to do this. The ceiling fan in the bedroom and the central heat worked about half the time and needed to have the circuit breaker switched on and off to work. This required removing a large picture off the bedroom wall over the bed. The bathroom door could not be fully shut or locked as the door handle and wall plate did not line up. The dish washer was not secured when it was installed, so it would tip down when the door was open and the rack pulled out. I went to Home Depot, bought the proper brackets and fixed it. Whomever designed this remodel was far more concerned with "looks" than "functionality." We felt that they must have "hurried" the remodel and were more concerned with getting it done and how it looked than weather it was completely finished and functional. If the things I listed are corrected I would certainly recommend this space, if they don't get corrected I would not recommend.

Immaculately detailed & great location!

Highly detailed modern unit across the street from the beach. Beautifully and professionally decorated interior. Unbelievable location across the street from the beach, simply cannot be beat! Love the look and feel to this contemporary beach home. Garage parking provided was definitely a plus as well. Looking forward to our next stay in a couple of months. Thanks!
