Our spacious 4,000 sq. ft. cabin is the perfect getaway for families and groups, comfortably accommodating up to 20 people. The top floor features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, along with a newly renovated kitchen ideal for preparing meals together. Just 2 miles from Bear Valley Ski Resort, 5 minutes from Lake Alpine, and 20 minutes from Big Trees State Park, you'll have easy access to year-round outdoor adventures. Enjoy nearby hiking trails, rock climbing, and summer exploration, or embrace the winter with plenty of snow! While winter access requires a short 100-yard walk from the parking area (no cars allowed during snow), the cabinā€™s location is worth it. In summer, you'll find plenty of parking right at the house. The downstairs level includes a second kitchen, a spacious living area, a game room, and additional sleeping space if needed, making it perfect for gatherings and relaxation.

Our family of 14 adults enjoyed a week stay at the Lodge, in August 2025. We returned after a similar week, three years ago, with most of the same group.The Lodge is easy to check in and out. We suggest a statement of the ease of exit, on site.The kitchen is well equipped for a large group of maximum capacity. The dining table does not. But there are other options. Like stools.Some felt the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. But, maybe that is a good thing for a vacation!We spent a lot of time at Lake Alpine. Overall, Excellent Must be beautiful in the winter!

Wonderful ski week

We greatly enjoyed the house and close proximity to Bear Valley Ski Resort. We have young kids so we needed a close place in the event we had meltdowns at the slopes and needed to go back early. This was perfect. Lots of space and outdoor areas to explore far enough away from the highway. It's a short hike up to the house but just reframe as a workout and it does the trick. We'll definitely stay here again.

Winter Stay at a Beautiful Cabin

We had a wonderful stay in Bear Valley. It was very close to the ski area and the snow was awesome. I can't wait to stay here again!

amazing snow palace

The place is enormous and very well equipped. Jill was responsive and made sure we were well taken care of. it is a few minutes hike to get from the highway to the property, which personally I found as a bonus because it meant that there were no cars around the house, and the snow was clean and pristine for my kids to play right outside the cabin. We had 10 inches of snow while we were there and built an igloo. Iā€™m looking forward to our next visit there.

Great View

I rent the cabin for the new year week. The cabin requires about 100 yards of walking due to the snow in the winter. It is a little tiring to carry all the stuff on foot. But the view from the cabin is beautiful and worth every ouch of it. The cabin has some wear and tear but the owner is very nice and responds to my questions/requests very quickly. I will definitely go back again.

The kids had an absolute blast! Snow park right in the front yard! Great memories!

The house was huge and the snow was amazing for the kids. Overall experience was great! I would definitely recommend this place and we will go again!! We had a blast and the space was perfect for 15 of us!

Great house for large group

The house is in a great location and is very comfortable for a group. We enjoyed the renovated kitchen and made use of the many games on the game shelves.

Decent Stay for Last Minute Booking

Decent Stay for Last Minute Booking. There was plenty of parking in the summer months but not sure about winter months. Super close to Bear Valley which was great. The house was not as clean as I would like it because the babies or anyone who wasn't wearing a shoe inside the house had black feet by the end of the day. The worst part was there was no trash service, so we had to take the trash out to Bear Valley daily which was inconvenient. Other than that, the cabin served our needs and was decent for being last minute.

Beautiful Home-Challenging Parking

First off, Iā€™d like to say that this home is beautiful. It is huge, with 5 beds per room (4), just in the upstairs area. There also 2 full baths. Once the lower level ( full 2nd kitchen, living area, bedrooms, laundry area, etc.) is renovated this home is going to be a dream! We traveled with our 5 year old and 2 year old and there was plenty of space to run and play, plus the perk of having a literal snow park in our front/side/back yard. The WiFi was fast and the movie/TV selections were perfect for my littles. It is about 30 mins from downtown Arnold and about 15mins south of Bear Valley Resort and Ski Area. The owner, Jill, is AMAZING!!! She went the extra mile (literally) when the pipes froze the morning we were supposed to check in. She traveled up to the home to make sure we would have running water upon arrival. The home was clean and I did not get that ā€œewww ickyā€ feeling that you can sometimes get with rentals. Nowā€¦ the downsides. There is little to Zero cell service once you hit Arnold. There is WiFi in the home, so make sure that your cell phone plan is set up for WiFi calling. The biggest downfall of this home šŸ˜©THE ROADS ARE NOT PLOWED AND THERE IS NO ASSIGNED PARKINGšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. Two homes are permanent residence who each have two cars.There is no where else to park in that lot, without having to dig out your own spot. When we arrived at the home it was pitch black out and the snow was deep! Having to haul in a sleepy two year old and 4 days worth of meals, snow gear, etc. in the freezing cold from quite a distance( which Iā€™m sure is not quite the haul without the snow), was pretty challenging. Now back to the parking. We had parked in front of another car, but allowed for ample space for the other cars to move in and out of their spaces. In the pitch black, even if weā€™d known to dig our own spot, there was no way to see at that point anyways, so it wouldnā€™t have happened. The next morning (8am) neighbors came to tell us to move, explaining that there was no parking for renters unless we dug our own spotā€¦. This was definitely not how we planned on spending the first morning of our tripā€¦ but it was what it was. We did what had to be done and dug out our own spotā€¦. Just to have it taken by a renter that arrived after we had gone snowboarding that day. šŸ˜” after the 2nd time digging out a spot, we were over it šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Great stay

this is our second time staying at the property. We all love it and will definitely try to come back. Itā€™s a great location, close to the highway but totally secluded. We got so much snow this time and the kids had a blast. Itā€™s a really comfortable house and everything is well organized. Everything is clean, the heat works super well and itā€™s a great space for family to enjoy some days in the snow. I also appreciated the fast Wi-Fi

Great winter getaway!

This cabin was perfect for the entire family, very spacious and comfortable. It was great to have a snow park right outside your door. Location was not far from us at all and not hard to find. Jill was a great host and communicated all the details regarding our stay ahead of time,, she even let us check in earlier than what was established which was phenomenal considering we left really early to prepare in case weather conditions would delay our transit. The only thing negative that I would say was the parking situation was not ideal, there is no plowing up to the cabin so you have to park out in the road and walk up to the cabin. There was so much snow and the trek up and down with items made it a little exhausting and the neighbors were not friendly at all and gave us grief when we only had ONE car parked out front the rest of our vehicles parked at Bear Lodge and it was a pain having to drive there daily to shovel our cars out and move them to follow plow schedule. But overall the cabin itself is wonderful, we do plan to return just more prepared šŸ˜‰ Would recommend.

Perfect summer getaway!

We had such a fabulous time staying at this property! Plenty of room for our family of 11, super comfortable beds and pillows, with ceiling fans for each room. Kitchen was stocked with condiments and every utensil and appliance we needed for our stay. Stargazing was an added bonus and was an amazing experience. House was comfortable and welcoming and we all enjoyed our stay immensely. Thanks, Jill!

Perfect Home and Location for our group of friends!

This home is set up perfectly for group travel. Each room has a regular bed and bunks so each family had their own space and we didn't have to bring cots for the kids. There a great variety of games and videos available, plenty of towels and linens, the kitchen is well stocked with modern appliances and dishes. Lake Alpine is a short drive away. It is a beautiful lake and family friendly. I would suggest getting there early if you go on a Saturday as parking was difficult in the afternoon. We spent every night sitting on the rocks at the side of the house star gazing. Communication with Jill was always pleasant and she responded very quickly to all of our questions. We stayed with a group aged 10-68 and everyone had a blast! Thanks, Jill!!

Wonderful, comfortable cabin perfect for Lake Alpine

We had a great time staying at Eagle Lane. The property, while off the road, is easy to find if you follow the instructions. This is a very comfortable cabin, filled with plenty of comfy beds and cushy couches; beautiful rustic decor; a huge array of board games, dvds, and even some video games. We comfortably fit 8 people, and there were beds for more! The hostess is quick to respond and very accommodating. I highly recommend this rental for your next trip! Lake alpine is a quick 10 minute drive away, so I would highly recommend you schedule that in for any trip here.

Fantastic place to stay

This place gets an A+++ from us . Closer to lake alpine than I thought(just minutes away)ā€¦..has everything you need for a fantastic family vacation time. Star gazing at night was incredible. Highly recommended for large groups.

Snow much fun!

Our family especially enjoyed playing in the snow in the yard. So many possible sled/tube runs! The number of beds was great for a large group, but we were just one family, so it had a spacious feel for us. We loved the location for its proximity to the ski resort and the tubing place. We are excited to come see what itā€™s like there in the summer. Communication with the host and the check-in and check-out process were excellent.

Wonderful cabin

This house has an absolutely perfect location close to the Highway but very secluded at the same time. Thereā€™s a great sledding hill right in the front, where our kids had hours of fun. Itā€™s a nice and spacious property, with everything you need inside. Itā€™s good for larger groups especially and kids will really enjoy the bunkbeds. Jill was an absolute pleasure to communicate with. Originally booked it for the summer, but the wildfire smoke prevented us from coming up so she made it very easy for us to reschedule for the winter. We will hopefully be back!

Snow Fun

Plenty of room, peaceful and well stocked kitchen! The kids were outside in the snow from morning into the evening. They used the sleds but also their snowboards. Perfect hill for learning! Close to Bear Valley so a few of the more experienced snowboarders went on the lifts.

Loved it, will stay again!

Spent a few days with family which included 4 kids. You cannot beat the location, snow play is right out the door! Fully stocked, would recommend updating frying pans and cleaning refrigerator prior to guest stay. Lots of Space, warm and clean bedding. Heater worked great! Awesome owner who is very accommodating with great communication. Would love to stay again and plan to return! Wonderful few days spent with family in a magical location!

The cabin was great. It has all you need for a week stay, all you need is food ;-). everyone enjoyed the stay, there is a park close by for skiing. but no need to go, younger kids had a blast just outside of cabin. Thank you Jill.

No matter the season, this property offers an entirely unique experience, but one thing always stays the sameā€”the breathtaking views from the bedroom windows. Winter brings endless fun, with kids building snowmen and sledding right outside the cabin, followed by cozy hot chocolate and movie nights. Depending on the year, the snow can linger from Thanksgiving all the way to Memorial Day, making it the ultimate winter playground! With outdoor cameras, we can even update you on the snow levels before you arrive.

When the valley heat in California becomes too much, our cool mountain air offers the perfect escape.
